第37章

1 因此我心也［also］戰兢，從他的［his］原處移動。

2 當側耳聽他所發之聲［Hear attentively the noise of his voice］，並他口中所出的聲音［and the sound that goeth out of his mouth］。

3 他發響聲震遍普天之下［under the whole heaven］，發電光閃到地的四極［ends of］。

4 隨後人聽見有雷聲轟轟，大發威嚴，雷電接連不斷。

5 神發出奇妙的雷聲；他行大事，我們不能測透。

6 他對雪說：要降在地上；對細［small］雨和暴雨也是這樣說。

7 他封住各人的手，叫所造的眾人都曉得他的作為。

8 野獸［beasts］進入穴中，臥在其處［their places］。

9 旋風［whirlwind］出於南方［south］；寒冷出於北方。

10 神噓氣成霜［frost］；寬闊之水也都凝結。

11 他使密雲盛滿水氣，布散電光之雲；

12 這雲是藉他的指引游行旋轉，得以在全地面上行他一切所吩咐的，

13 或為責罰，或為潤地，或為施行慈愛。

14 約伯啊，你要留心聽，要站立思想神奇妙的作為。

15 神何時［when］安設［disposed］這些，使他雲彩的光［caused the light of his cloud］照耀，你知道嗎？

16 雲彩如何浮於空中，那知識全備者奇妙的作為，你知道嗎？

17 南風使地寂靜，你的衣服就如火熱，你知道嗎？

18 你豈能與神同鋪穹蒼嗎？這穹蒼堅硬，如同鑄成的鏡子。

19 我們因黑暗［reason of darkness］不能陳說；請你指教我們該對他說甚麼話。

20 人豈可說：我願與他說話？若有人說話，他就必被吞滅［if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up］。

21 現在有雲遮蔽，人不得見穹蒼的光亮；但風吹過，天又發晴。

22 睛天［Fair weather］出於北方，在神那裏有可怕的威嚴。

23 論到全能者，我們不能測度；他大有能力，有公平和大義，必不苦待人。

24 所以，人敬畏他；凡自以為心中有智慧的人，他都不顧念。

4 After310 it a voice6963 roars:7580 he thunders7481 with the voice6963 of his excellency;1347 and he will not stay6117 them when3588 his voice6963 is heard.8085

5 God410 thunders7481 marvelously6381 with his voice;6963 great1419 things does6213 he, which we cannot408 comprehend.3045

6 For he said559 to the snow,7950 Be you on the earth;776 likewise to the small rain,1653 and to the great4306 rain1653 of his strength.5797

7 He seals2856 up the hand3027 of every3605 man;120 that all3605 men582 may know3045 his work.4639

8 Then the beasts2416 go935 into1119 dens,695 and remain7931 in their places.4585

15 Do you know3045 when God433 disposed7760 them, and caused the light216 of his cloud6051 to shine?3313

16 Do you know3045 the balancing4657 of the clouds,5645 the wondrous4652 works of him which is perfect8549 in knowledge?1843

17 How834 your garments899 are warm,2525 when he quiets8252 the earth776 by the south1864 wind?

18 Have you with him spread7554 out the sky,7834 which is strong,2389 and as a molten3332 looking7209 glass?7209

19 Teach3045 us what4100 we shall say559 to him; for we cannot3808 order6186 our speech by reason6440 of darkness.2822

20 Shall it be told5608 him that I speak?1696 if518 a man376 speak,559 surely3588 he shall be swallowed1104 up.

21 And now6258 men see7200 not the bright925 light216 which1931 is in the clouds:7834 but the wind7307 passes,5674 and cleans2891 them.

22 Fair2091 weather2091 comes857 out of the north:6828 with God433 is terrible3372 majesty.1935

23 Touching the Almighty,7706 we cannot3808 find4672 him out: he is excellent7689 in power,3581 and in judgment,4941 and in plenty7230 of justice:6666 he will not afflict.6031
