Chapter 24
1 Und der Zorn639 des HErrn3068 ergrimmete abermal wider Israel3478 und reizte5496 David1732 unter ihnen, daß er sprach559: Gehe3212 hin, zähle4487 Israel3478 und Juda3063.
1 And again3254 the anger639 of the LORD3068 was kindled2734 against Israel,3478 and he moved5496 David1732 against them to say,559 Go,3212 number4487 Israel3478 and Judah.3063
2 Und2428 der König4428 sprach559 zu Joab3097, seinem Feldhauptmann8269: Gehe umher7751 in allen Stämmen7626 Israels3478 von Dan1835 an bis gen Berseba und zähle das Volk5971, daß ich wisse3045, wieviel4557 sein ist6485.
2 For the king4428 said559 to Joab3097 the captain8269 of the host,2428 which834 was with him, Go7751 now4994 through7751 all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel,3478 from Dan1835 even to Beersheba,884 and number6485 you the people,5971 that I may know3045 the number4557 of the people.5971
3 Joab3097 sprach559 zu dem Könige4428: Der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, tue zu diesem Volk5971, wie6471 es1992 jetzt ist, noch3254 hundertmal so viel, daß mein Herr113, der König4428, seiner Augen5869 Lust2654 dran sehe7200; aber was hat mein Herr113 König4428 zu dieser Sache1697 Lust?
3 And Joab3097 said559 to the king,4428 Now the LORD3068 your God430 add3254 to the people,5971 how many soever they be, an hundred times,3967 6471 and that the eyes5869 of my lord113 the king4428 may see7200 it: but why4100 does my lord113 the king4428 delight2654 in this2088 thing?1697
4 Aber des Königs4428 Wort1697 ging vor6440 wider Joab3097 und2428 die Hauptleute8269 des Heers. Also zog Joab3097 aus3318 und2428 die Hauptleute8269 des Heers von dem Könige4428, daß sie2388 das Volk5971 Israel3478 zähleten.
4 Notwithstanding the king's4428 word1697 prevailed2388 against413 Joab,3097 and against5921 the captains8269 of the host.2428 And Joab3097 and the captains8269 of the host2428 went3318 out from the presence6440 of the king,4428 to number6485 the people5971 of Israel.3478
5 Und gingen über5674 den Jordan3383 und lagerten sich2583 zu Aroer6177 zur Rechten3225 der Stadt5892, die im8432 Bach5158 Gad1410 liegt, und zu Jaeser.
5 And they passed5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and pitched2583 in Aroer,6177 on the right3225 side3225 of the city5892 that lies in the middle8432 of the river5158 of Gad,1410 and toward413 Jazer:3270
6 Und776 kamen935 gen Gilead1568 und ins Niederland Hadsi; und kamen935 gen Dan-Jaan1842 und um Zidon her5439.
6 Then they came935 to Gilead,1568 and to the land776 of Tahtimhodshi;8483 and they came935 to Danjaan,1842 and about5439 to Zidon,6721
7 Und kamen935 zu der festen4013 Stadt5892 Thyrus und allen Städten der Heviter2340 und Kanaaniter3669; und kamen hinaus3318 an den Mittag5045 Judas gen Berseba.
7 And came935 to the strong4013 hold4013 of Tyre,6865 and to all3605 the cities5892 of the Hivites,2340 and of the Canaanites:3669 and they went3318 out to the south5045 of Judah,3063 even to Beersheba.884
8 Und zogen das ganze Land776 um; und kamen935 nach7097 neun8672 Monden2320 und zwanzig6242 Tagen3117 gen Jerusalem3389.
8 So when they had gone7751 through all3605 the land,776 they came935 to Jerusalem3389 at the end7097 of nine8672 months2320 and twenty6242 days.3117
9 Und3967 Joab3097 gab5414 dem Könige4428 die4557 Summa des Volks5971, das gezählet war8083. Und376 es war in Israel3478 achthundertmal tausend505 starker Männer, die das Schwert8025 auszogen, und in Juda3063 fünfhundertmal tausend505 Mann2428.
9 And Joab3097 gave5414 up the sum4557 of the number4662 of the people5971 to the king:4428 and there were in Israel3478 eight8083 hundred3967 thousand505 valiant2428 men376 that drew8025 the sword;2719 and the men376 of Judah3063 were five2568 hundred3967 thousand505 men.376
10 Und5650 das Herz3820 schlug5221 David1732, nachdem310 das Volk5971 gezählet war5608. Und David1732 sprach559 zum HErrn3068: Ich habe5674 schwerlich gesündiget, daß ich das getan2398 habe; und nun, HErr3068, nimm weg die Missetat5771 deines Knechts; denn ich habe sehr3966 töricht5528 getan6213.
10 And David's1732 heart3820 smote5221 him after310 that he had numbered5608 the people.5971 And David1732 said559 to the LORD,3068 I have sinned2398 greatly3966 in that I have done:6213 and now,6258 I beseech4994 you, O LORD,3068 take5674 away5674 the iniquity5771 of your servant;5650 for I have done very3966 foolishly.5528
11 Und da David1732 des Morgens1242 aufstund, kam des HErrn3068 Wort1697 zu Gad1410, dem Propheten5030, Davids1732 Seher2374, und sprach559:
11 For when David1732 was up in the morning,1242 the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to the prophet5030 Gad,1410 David's1732 seer,2374 saying,559
12 Gehe1980 hin und rede1696 mit David1732: So spricht559 der HErr3068: Dreierlei7969 bringe5190 ich zu dir; erwähle977 dir der eines259, das ich dir tue6213.
12 Go1980 and say559 to David,1732 Thus3541 said1696 the LORD,3068 I offer5190 you three7969 things; choose977 you one259 of them, that I may do6213 it to you.
13 Gad1410 kam935 zu David1732 und776 sagte5046 es1697 ihm an7200 und sprach559 zu ihm: Willst du, daß sieben7651 Jahre8141 Teurung in dein Land776 komme935, oder daß du drei7969 Monden2320 vor deinen Widersachern6862 fliehen5127 müssest, und sie dich verfolgen7291, oder daß drei7969 Tage3117 Pestilenz1698 in deinem Lande6440 sei? So merke nun und siehe, was ich wieder7725 sagen soll dem, der mich gesandt7971 hat3045.
13 So Gad1410 came935 to David,1732 and told5046 him, and said559 to him, Shall seven7651 years8141 of famine7458 come935 to you in your land?776 or will you flee5127 three7969 months2320 before6440 your enemies,6862 while they pursue7291 you? or that there be three7969 days'3117 pestilence1698 in your land?776 now6258 advise,3045 and see7200 what4100 answer1697 I shall return7725 to him that sent7971 me.
14 David1732 sprach559 zu3966 Gad1410: Es ist mir fast angst6887; aber laß uns in die Hand3027 des HErrn3068 fallen5307, denn seine Barmherzigkeit7356 ist groß7227; ich will nicht in der Menschen120 Hand3027 fallen5307.
14 And David1732 said559 to Gad,1410 I am in a great3966 strait:6887 let us fall5307 now4994 into the hand3027 of the LORD;3068 for his mercies7356 are great:7227 and let me not fall5307 into the hand3027 of man.120
15 Also ließ5414 der HErr3068 Pestilenz1698 in Israel3478 kommen von Morgen1242 an bis zur bestimmten4150 Zeit6256, daß des Volks5971 starb4191 von Dan1835 an bis gen Berseba siebenzigtausend Mann376.
15 So the LORD3068 sent5414 a pestilence1698 on Israel3478 from the morning1242 even to the time6256 appointed:4150 and there died4191 of the people5971 from Dan1835 even to Beersheba884 seventy7657 thousand505 men.376
16 Und728 da der Engel4397 seine Hand3027 ausstreckte über Jerusalem3389, daß er sie7503 verderbete, reuete es5162 den HErrn3068 über dem7451 Übel und sprach559 zum Engel4397, zu dem Verderber7843 im Volk5971: Es ist genug7227, laß7971 nun deine Hand3027 ab7843! Der Engel4397 aber des HErrn3068 war bei der Tenne1637 Arafnas, des Jebusiters2983.
16 And when the angel4397 stretched7971 out his hand3027 on Jerusalem3389 to destroy7843 it, the LORD3068 repented5162 him of the evil,7451 and said559 to the angel4397 that destroyed7843 the people,5971 It is enough:7227 stay7503 now6258 your hand.3027 And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 was by the threshing place1637 of Araunah728 the Jebusite.2983
17 David1732 aber, da er den Engel4397 sah7200, der das Volk5971 schlug5221, sprach559 er zum HErrn3068: Siehe, ich559 habe6213 gesündiget, ich habe die Missetat getan2398; was haben diese Schafe6629 getan5753? Laß deine Hand3027 wider mich und meines Vaters1 Haus1004 sein!
17 And David1732 spoke559 to the LORD3068 when he saw7200 the angel4397 that smote5221 the people,5971 and said,559 See,2009 I have sinned,2398 and I have done wickedly:5753 but these428 sheep,6629 what4100 have they done?6213 let your hand,3027 I pray4994 you, be against me, and against my father's1 house.1004
18 Und728 Gad1410 kam zu David1732 zur selben Zeit3117 und sprach559 zu ihm: Gehe935 hinauf und richte6965 dem HErrn3068 einen Altar4196 auf5927 in der Tenne1637 Arafnas, des Jebusiters2983.
18 And Gad1410 came935 that day3117 to David,1732 and said559 to him, Go5927 up, raise6965 an altar4196 to the LORD3068 in the threshing floor1637 of Araunah728 the Jebusite.2983
19 Also ging5927 David1732 hinauf, wie Gad1410 gesagt und der HErr3068 geboten6680 hatte1697.
19 And David,1732 according to the saying1697 of Gad,1410 went5927 up as the LORD3068 commanded.6680
20 Und728 da Arafna sich3318 wandte, sah7200 er4428 den König4428 mit seinen Knechten5650 zu ihm gehen5674; und728 betete7812 an auf sein Angesicht8259 zur Erde776.
20 And Araunah728 looked,8259 and saw7200 the king4428 and his servants5650 coming5674 on toward5921 him: and Araunah728 went3318 out, and bowed7812 himself before the king4428 on his face639 on the ground.776
21 Und728 sprach559: Warum kommt935 mein Herr113, der König4428, zu seinem Knechte5650? David1732 sprach559: Zu kaufen7069 von dir die Tenne1637 und zu bauen1129 dem HErrn3068 einen Altar4196, daß die Plage4046 vom Volk5971 aufhöre6113.
21 And Araunah728 said,559 Why4069 is my lord113 the king4428 come935 to his servant?5650 And David1732 said,559 To buy7069 the threshing floor1637 of you, to build1129 an altar4196 to the LORD,3068 that the plague4046 may be stayed6113 from the people.5971
22 Aber Arafna sprach559 zu David1732: Mein Herr113, der König4428, nehme und728 opfere, wie es5930 ihm5869 gefällt2896; siehe7200, da ist3947 ein Rind1241 zum Brandopfer5927 und Schleifen und Geschirr4173 vom Ochsen1241 zu Holz6086.
22 And Araunah728 said559 to David,1732 Let my lord113 the king4428 take3947 and offer5927 up what seems5869 good2896 to him: behold,7200 here be oxen1241 for burnt5930 sacrifice, and threshing4173 instruments3627 and other instruments of the oxen1241 for wood.6086
23 Alles gab5414 Arafna, der König4428, dem Könige4428. Und728 Arafna sprach559 zum Könige4428: Der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, lasse dich ihm angenehm sein7521!
23 All3605 these things did Araunah,728 as a king,4428 give5414 to the king.4428 And Araunah728 said559 to the king,4428 The LORD3068 your God430 accept7521 you.
24 Aber der König4428 sprach559 zu Arafna: Nicht also7069, sondern ich will dir‘s abkaufen um sein Geld4242; denn ich will dem HErrn3068, meinem GOtt430, nicht Brandopfer5930 tun5927, das ich umsonst2600 habe. Also7069 kaufte7069 David1732 die Tenne1637 und728 das Rind1241 um fünfzig2572 Sekel Silbers3701.
24 And the king4428 said559 to Araunah,728 No;3808 but I will surely3588 518 buy7069 it of you at a price:4242 neither3808 will I offer5927 burnt5930 offerings to the LORD3068 my God430 of that which does cost2600 me nothing.2600 So David1732 bought7069 the threshing floor1637 and the oxen1241 for fifty2572 shekels8255 of silver.3701
25 Und1732 bauete daselbst dem HErrn3068 einen Altar4196 und1129 opferte Brandopfer5930 und Dankopfer8002. Und der HErr3068 ward dem Lande versöhnet; und die Plage4046 hörete auf5927 von dem Volk Israel3478.
25 And David1732 built1129 there8033 an altar4196 to the LORD,3068 and offered5927 burnt5930 offerings and peace8002 offerings. So the LORD3068 was entreated6279 for the land,776 and the plague4046 was stayed6113 from Israel.3478
