Kapitel 30

1 Da nun David1732 des dritten7992 Tages3117 kam gen Ziklag6860 mit seinen Männern582, waren935 die Amalekiter6003 hereingefallen zum Mittag5045 und zu Ziklag6860 und hatten Ziklag6860 geschlagen5221 und mit Feuer784 verbrannt8313;

2 und hatten die Weiber802 draus weggeführet, beide klein6996 und groß1419; sie hatten aber niemand376 getötet4191, sondern weggetrieben7617 und waren3212 dahin5090 ihres Weges1870.

3 Da nun David1732 samt seinen Männern582 zur Stadt5892 kam und sah, daß sie mit Feuer784 verbrannt8313 war7617, und ihre Weiber802, Söhne1121 und Töchter1323 gefangen waren935,

4 hub David1732 und das Volk5971, das bei ihm war, ihre Stimme6963 auf5375 und weineten, bis sie1058 nicht mehr3581 weinen1058 konnten.

5 Denn Davids1732 zwei8147 Weiber802 waren auch gefangen7617, Ahinoam293, die Jesreelitin3159, und Abigail26, Nabals Weib802, des Karmeliten3761.

6 Und559 David1732 war sehr3966 geängstet3334; denn das Volk5971 wollte ihn steinigen5619, denn des ganzen Volks5971 See LE5315 war unwillig4843, ein376 jeglicher über seine Söhne1121 und Töchter1323. David1732 aber stärkte2388 sich in dem HErrn3068, seinem GOtt430

7 und54 sprach559 zu Abjathar54, dem Priester, Ahimelechs288 Sohn1121: Bringe5066 mir her5066 den Leibrock646. Und3548 da Abjathar den Leibrock646 zu David1732 gebracht hatte,

8 fragte7592 David1732 den HErrn3068 und sprach559: Soll ich den Kriegsleuten1416 nachjagen7291 und werde ich sie5381 ergreifen5381? Er sprach559: Jage7291 ihnen nach310, du wirst sie ergreifen5381 und Rettung tun.

9 Da zog3212 David1732 hin und3967 die sechshundert8337 Mann376, die bei ihm waren935; und da sie kamen an den Bach5158 Besor1308, blieben etliche3498 stehen5975.

10 David1732 aber und3967 die vierhundert702 Mann376 jagten nach7291; die zweihundert3967 Mann aber, die stehen5975 blieben, waren zu müde6296, über den Bach5158 Besor1308 zu gehen5674.

11 Und sie fanden4672 einen ägyptischen4713 Mann auf3947 dem Felde7704, den führeten sie zu David1732 und gaben5414 ihm Brot3899, daß er aß398, und tränkten8248 ihn mit Wasser4325;

12 und gaben5414 ihm ein Stück6400 Feigen und zwei8147 Stück Rosinen6778. Und da er3899 gegessen398 hatte, kam sein Geist7307 wieder7725 zu ihm; denn er hatte in dreien7969 Tagen3117 und dreien7969 Nächten3915 nichts gegessen398 und kein Wasser4325 getrunken8354.

13 David1732 sprach559 zu ihm: Wes bist du? und woher bist du? Er sprach559: Ich bin ein ägyptischer4713 Knabe5288, eines Amalekiters6003 Knecht5650; und mein Herr113 hat mich verlassen5800, denn ich war krank2470 vor dreien7969 Tagen3117.

14 Wir sind hereingefallen zum Mittag5045 Krethi und auf Juda3063 und zum Mittag5045 Kaleb3612 und haben Ziklag6860 mit Feuer784 verbrannt8313.

15 David1732 sprach559 zu5462 ihm: Willst du mich hinabführen3381 zu diesen Kriegsleuten1416? Er sprach559: Schwöre7650 mir bei GOtt430, daß518 du mich nicht tötest4191 noch in meines Herrn113 Hand3027 überantwortest, so will ich dich hinabführen3381 zu diesen Kriegsleuten1416.

16 Und776 er führete sie3947 hinab3381. Und siehe, sie hatten sich zerstreuet auf6440 der ganzen Erde776, aßen398 und tranken8354 und feierten2287 über all dem großen1419 Raub7998, den sie genommen hatten aus der Philister6430 und Judas Lande776.

17 Und3967 David1732 schlug5221 sie von dem Morgen5399 an bis an den Abend6153 gegen den andern4283 Tag, daß ihrer keiner376 entrann4422, ohne vierhundert702 Jünglinge5288, die fielen auf die Kamele1581 und flohen5127.

18 Also errettete5337 David1732 alles, was die Amalekiter6002 genommen hatten3947, und1732 seine zwei8147 Weiber802;

19 und fehlete an keinem, weder4480 klein6996 noch groß1419, noch Söhne1121, noch Töchter1323, noch Raub7998, noch alles, das sie genommen hatten: David1732 brachte3947 es alles wieder7725.

20 Und David1732 nahm3947 die Schafe6629 und Rinder1241 und trieb5090 das1931 Volk vor6440 ihm her; und sie sprachen559: Das ist4735 Davids1732 Raub7998.

21 Und da310 David1732 zu den zweihundert3967 Männern582 kam, die zu müde gewesen6296, David1732 nachzufolgen, und am Bach5158 Besor1308 geblieben waren3212, gingen935 sie heraus3318, David1732 entgegen7125 und dem Volk5971, das mit ihm war3427. Und David1732 trat5066 zum Volk5971 und grüßte7592 sie freundlich7965.

22 Da antworteten6030, was böse7451 und376 lose1100 Leute waren unter denen, die mit David1732 gezogen waren, und sprachen: Weil sie nicht5337 mit uns7998 gezogen sind1980, soll man559 ihnen nichts geben5414 von dem Raube, den wir582 errettet haben1980, sondern ein376 jeglicher führe sein5090 Weib802 und seine Kinder1121 und gehe3212 hin.

23 Da sprach559 David1732: Ihr sollt8104 nicht so tun6213, meine Brüder251, mit dem, das uns der HErr3068 gegeben5414 hat, und hat uns behütet und diese Kriegsleute1416, die wider uns kommen waren935, in unsere Hände3027 gegeben5414.

24 Wer sollte euch darinnen gehorchen? Wie das1697 Teil2506 derjenigen, die3427 in Streit4421 hinabgezogen sind3381, so soll auch sein das Teil2506 derjenigen, die bei dem Geräte3627 geblieben sind3381, und soll gleich3162 geteilet werden8085.

25 Das ist7760 seit der Zeit3117 und forthin4605 in Israel3478 eine Sitte und Recht2706 worden bis auf diesen Tag3117.

26 Und da David1732 gen Ziklag6860 kam935, sandte7971 er des Raubes den Ältesten2205 in Juda3063, seinen7453 Freunden, und sprach559: Siehe, da habt ihr den Segen1293 aus dem Raub7998 der Feinde341 des HErrn3068;

27 nämlich denen zu834 Bethel, denen zu Ramoth7418 am Mittage, denen zu Jathir,

28 denen zu Aroer6177, denen zu Siphamoth8224, denen zu Esthemoa851,

29 denen zu Rachal7403, denen in Städten5892 der Jerahmeeliter3397, denen in Städten5892 der Keniter7017,

30 denen zu Horma2767, denen zu Bor-Asan3565, denen zu Athach6269,

31 denen zu Hebron2275 und allen Orten, da4725 David1732 gewandelt hatte1980 mit seinen Männern582.

Chapter 30

1 AND when David and his men were come to Zinklag on the third day, the Amalekites had raided the Negeb and Zinklag, and burned them with fire;

2 And had taken captive all the people who were in them, both the small and the great; and they put to death the men of war; and they took the spoil and went on their way.

3 And David and his men came to the city, and. behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives and their sons and their daughters were taken captives.

4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.

5 And David's two wives were taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.

6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimeleck's son, Bring me here the ephod. And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.

8 And David inquired of the LORD, saying. Shall I pursue these raiders? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for you shall surely overtake them soon and deliver the captives.

9 So David went, he and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook of Besor, and David left two hundred men there.

10 And David continued the pursuit with four hundred men; then the two hundred men who were left behind rose up and kept guard, that the raiders might not cross the brook of Besor.

11 And they found an Egyptian in a field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they gave him water to drink;

12 And they gave him two cakes of figs, and when he had eaten, his spirit revived; for he had not eaten bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights.

13 And David said to him, To whom do you belong? And where do you come from? And the young man said, I am an Egyptian, a servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me because I have been sick for three days,

14 After we returned from raiding the Negeb of Judah and the Negeb of Caleb and from Zinklag, and we burned the towns with fire.

15 And David said to him, Will you bring me down to this band of robbers? And he said to him. Swear to me by the LORD that you will neither kill me nor deliver me into the hand of my master, and I will show you this band of robbers.

16 And David swore to him, and when he had brought him down, behold, they were scattered upon the ground, eating and drinking and rejoicing because of all the great spoil that they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.

17 And David smote them from the morning until evening from the rear; and there escaped not a man of them, except four hundred men who rode upon camels and fled.

18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken captive, and he rescued his two wives that day.

19 And they lost nothing, for David recovered all.

20 And David took all the flocks and the herds, and an abundance of other things in addition; and they said, This is David's spoil.

21 And David came to the two hundred men who were left behind to guard the baggage, whom he had placed there to guard the road to Besor; and they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him; and when David and the people drew near, they exchanged greetings.

22 Then answered some of David's men who were evil and wicked, and said, Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any portion of the spoil which we have recovered, save that every man may take his wife and his children.

23 But David said, You shall not do thus, my brethren, with that which the LORD has given us, he who has preserved us and delivered into our hands the raiders that came against us.

24 For who will hearken to you in this matter? For as his portion is who goes down to battle, so shall his portion be who tarries by the baggage: they shall divide alike.

25 And it was so from that day forward that David made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel even to this day.

26 And when David came to Zinklag, he sent some of the spoil to the elders of Judah and to their neighbors, saying, Here is a blessing for you from the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;

27 Moreover, he sent of the spoil to those who were in Beth-el and to those who were in Ramoth of the Negeb and to those who were in Ai

28 And to those who were in Adoer and those who were in Siphmoth and to those who were in Eshtemoa

29 And to those who were in Rachal and to those who were in the cities of the Jerahmeelites and to those who were in the cities of the Kenites

30 And to those who were in Hirmah and to those who were in Bar-beshan and to those who were in Tanach

31 And to those who were in Hebron and to all the places in which David and his men had traveled.
