2 Corinthians

Chapter 9

1 For as touching4012 the ministering1248 to the saints,40 it is superfluous4053 for me to write1125 to you:

2 For I know1492 the forwardness4288 of your5216 mind,4288 for which3739 I boast2744 of you to them of Macedonia,3110 that Achaia882 was ready3903 a year4070 ago;575 and your5216 zeal2205 has provoked2042 very4119 many.4119

3 Yet1161 have I sent3992 the brothers,80 lest3588 3361 our boasting2745 of you should be in vain2761 in this5129 behalf;3313 that, as I said,3004 you may be ready:3903

4 Lest3381 haply3381 if1437 they of Macedonia3110 come2064 with me, and find2147 you unprepared,532 we (that we say3004 not, you) should be ashamed2617 in this3588 same5026 confident5287 boasting.2746

5 Therefore3767 I thought2233 it necessary316 to exhort3870 the brothers,80 that they would go4281 before4281 to you, and make4294 up beforehand4293 your bounty,2129 whereof you had notice4293 before, that the same5026 might be ready,2092 as a matter of bounty,2129 and not as of covetousness.4124

6 But this5124 I say, He which sows4687 sparingly5340 shall reap2325 also2532 sparingly;5340 and he which sows4687 bountifully2129 shall reap2325 also2532 bountifully.2129

7 Every1538 man according2531 as he purposes4255 in his heart,2588 so let him give; not grudgingly,1537 3077 or2228 of necessity:318 for God2316 loves25 a cheerful2431 giver.1395

8 And God2316 is able1415 to make4052 all3956 grace5485 abound4052 toward1519 you; that you, always3842 having2192 all3956 sufficiency841 in all3956 things, may abound4052 to every3956 good18 work:2041

9 (As it is written,1125 He has dispersed4650 abroad;4650 he has given1325 to the poor:3993 his righteousness1343 remains3306 for ever.165

10 Now1161 he that ministers2023 seed4690 to the sower4687 both2532 minister5524 bread740 for your food,1035 and multiply4129 your5216 seed4703 sown, and increase837 the fruits1081 of your5216 righteousness;1343)

11 Being enriched4148 in every3956 thing to all3956 bountifulness,572 which3748 causes2716 through1223 us thanksgiving2169 to God.2316

12 For the administration1248 of this5026 service3009 not only3440 supplies4322 the want5303 of the saints,40 but is abundant4052 also2532 by many4183 thanksgivings2169 to God;2316

13 Whiles by the experiment1382 of this5026 ministration1248 they glorify1392 God2316 for your5216 professed3671 subjection5292 to the gospel2098 of Christ,5547 and for your3588 liberal572 distribution2842 to them, and to all3956 men;

14 And by their prayer1162 for you, which long1971 after1971 you for the exceeding5235 grace5485 of God2316 in you.

1 論到供給聖徒的事，我不必寫信給你們；

2 因為我知道你們樂意的心，常對馬其頓人誇獎你們，說亞該亞人預備好了，已經有一年了；並且你們的熱心激動了許多人。

3 但我打發那幾位弟兄去，要叫你們照我的話預備妥當；免得我們在這事上誇獎你們的話落了空。

4 恐怕［lest］有馬其頓人與我同去，見你們沒有預備，就叫我們所確信的，反成了羞愧；你們羞愧，更不用說了。

5 因此，我想不得不勸［exhort］那幾位弟兄先到你們那裏去，把從前所說的［notice］預備妥當，就顯出你們所捐的是出於樂意，不是出於貪婪［covetousness］。

6 而我說［But this I say］：「少種的少收，多種的多收。」這話是真的。

7 各人要隨本心所酌定的捐輸［so let him give］，不要作難，不要勉強，因為捐得樂意的人是神所喜愛的。

8 神能將各樣的恩典［grace］多多的加給你們，使你們凡事常常充足，能多行各樣善行［work］。

9 （如經上所記：他施捨錢財，賙濟貧窮；他的義［righteousness］存到永遠。

10 那賜種給撒種的也賜糧給你們吃［both minister bread for your food］，並［and］多多加給你們種地的種子，又增添你們公義［righteousness］的果子；）

11 叫你們凡事富足，可以多多施捨，就藉著我們使感謝歸於神。

12 因為辦這供給的事，不但補聖徒的缺乏，而且叫許多人越發感謝神。

13 他們從這供給的事上得了憑據，知道你們宣認［professed］基督順服他的福音，多多的捐錢給他們和眾人，便將榮耀歸與神。

14 他們也因神極大的恩賜顯在你們心裏，就切切的想念你們，為你們祈禱。

15 感謝神，因他有說不出來［unspeakable］的恩賜。
