6 For a nation1471 is come5927 up on my land,776 strong,6099 and without369 number,4557 whose teeth8127 are the teeth8127 of a lion,738 and he has the cheek4973 teeth4973 of a great3833 lion.3833

11 Be you ashamed,954 O you farmers;406 howl,3213 O you vinedressers,3755 for the wheat2406 and for the barley;8184 because3588 the harvest7105 of the field7704 is perished.6

1 Слово Иеговы, бывшее к Иоилю, сыну Иефуилову.

2 Выслушайте сие, старцы; и обратите внимание, все жители земли! было ли это во дни ваши, или во дни отцев ваших?

3 Перескажите о сем детям вашим, а дети ваши своим детям, а дети их последующему поколению.

4 Оставшееся от саранчи газама доел арбе, а оставшееся от арбе доел елек, а оставшееся от елека доел хасил {четыре названия саранчи}.

5 Протрезвитесь, пьяницы, и плачьте, и рыдайте, все винопийцы о напитках; ибо отняты они у рта вашего.

6 Ибо на землю мою пришел народ сильный и бесчисленный; зубы у него зубы львовы и челюсти у него львицыны.

7 Виноградную лозу мою он оставил пустой, и смоковницу мою сделал щепою; обгрыз ее дочиста, и бросил; белеются сучья ее.

8 Рыдай, как облекшаяся власяницею девица рыдает о супруге юности своей.

9 Прекратилось хлебное приношение и возлияние в доме Иеговы; плачут священники, служители Иеговы.

10 Опустело поле, сетует пашня; ибо истреблен хлеб, виноградный сок высох, иссякло в маслине масло,

11 Земледельцы в стыде, рыдают садовники о пшенице и ячмене; потому что погибла жатва поля.

12 Виноградная лоза стыдится, и смоковница вянет, граната, и пальма, и яблоня, все дерева в поле засохли, ибо веселие устыдилось, отвратившись от сынов человеческих.

13 Препояшьтесь и сетуйте, священники! рыдайте, служители жертвенника! Пойдите, ночуйте во власяницах, служители Бога моего! ибо прекратилось в доме Бога вашего хлебное приношение и возлияние.

14 Назначьте пост; объявите свободу от работ; созовите старцев, всех жителей земли, в дом Иеговы, Бога вашего, и взывайте к Иегове.

15 О день! так близок день Иеговы; и как пагуба идет он от Вседержителя.

16 Не пред нашими ли очами хлеб исчез, из дома Бога нашего веселие и радость?

17 Зерна задохлись под глыбами своими; опустели засеки; распадаются житницы, поелику не стало хлеба.

18 О, как стонет скот! Стада коров тоскуют, ибо нет для них пажити; и стада овец страдают.

19 К тебе взываю, Иегова; ибо огонь пожрал степные пастбища, и пламень попалил все дерева в поле.

20 И полевые звери смотрят к Тебе вверх; ибо засохли потоки вод, и огонь пожрал степные пастбища.

13 Препояшьтесь и сетуйте, священники! рыдайте, служители жертвенника! Пойдите, ночуйте во власяницах, служители Бога моего! ибо прекратилось в доме Бога вашего хлебное приношение и возлияние.

14 Назначьте пост; объявите свободу от работ; созовите старцев, всех жителей земли, в дом Иеговы, Бога вашего, и взывайте к Иегове.

15 Alas162 for the day!3117 for the day3117 of the LORD3068 is at7138 hand,7138 and as a destruction7701 from the Almighty7706 shall it come.935
