Глава 1

1 В НАЧАЛЕ сотворил Бог небо и землю.

2 Пустынной, необитаемой была земля. Мрак окутывал бездну, и Дух Божий витал над водами.

3 И сказал Бог: «Да будет свет!» И появился свет.

4 Увидел Бог, что свет хорош. Отделил Он свет от тьмы

5 и дал свету имя «день», а тьме — «ночь». Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел один день.

6 И сказал Бог: «Да будет свод среди воды, пусть отделяет он одни воды от других».

7 Создал Бог свод и отделил воду под сводом от воды над ним. И стало так.

8 Назвал Бог свод «небом». Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел второй день.

9 И сказал Бог: «Да соберутся воды, что под небом, в одно место, дабы показалась суша». И стало так.

10 Бог назвал сушу «землею», а собравшиеся воды назвал «морями». Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

11 И сказал Бог: «Да зазеленеет земля, покрывшись разнообразной растительностью: растениями, семена дающими, и деревьями, по роду своему приносящими плоды с семенами своими». И стало так.

12 Всякую растительность произвела земля: растения, дающие семена по роду своему, и деревья с разными — по роду их — плодами с семенами своими. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

13 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел третий день.

14 И сказал Бог: «Да появятся светила на своде небесном, чтобы отделять день от ночи; и пусть они служат знаками, чтобы указывать на времена, дни и годы.

15 Пусть со свода небесного они освещают землю». И стало так.

16 Два светила великие: большее, которое стало владыкою дня, и меньшее, чтобы правило оно ночью, — сотворил Бог, а также и звезды;

17 и определил Бог место им на своде небесном, дабы землю освещать,

18 течением дня и ночи управлять и отделять свет от тьмы. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

19 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел четвертый день.

20 И сказал Бог: «Да кишит вода живыми существами, а над землей пусть птицы летают по небесным просторам».

21 Сотворил Бог и огромных тварей морских, и всякого рода иных живых существ, которыми кишит вода; сотворил Он и разного рода пернатых. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

22 Всех их Бог благословил, сказав: «Будьте плодовитыми и многочисленными, наполняйте воды в морях; и птицы пусть во множестве плодятся на земле».

23 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел пятый день.

24 И сказал Бог: «Да произведет земля всякого рода живых существ: скот, пресмыкающихся и всяких диких зверей». И стало так.

25 Создал Бог всякого рода диких зверей и скот, создал ползающих по земле существ всякого рода; увидел Он, что и это было хорошо.

26 Тогда сказал Бог: «Создадим человека по образу Нашему, по подобию Нашему, чтобы властвовал он над рыбами, в воде живущими, и птицами, под небом парящими, и над скотом, и над всею землею, над всяким живым существом, по земле ползающим».

27 И сотворил Бог человека по образу Своему, по Божию образу сотворил его, мужчину и женщину — обоих Он сотворил.

28 Благословил их Бог и сказал им: «Будьте плодовитыми и многочисленными, заселяйте землю — вам владеть ею! Вам властвовать над рыбами в морях, птицами в небе и над всеми живыми существами на земле!»

29 И еще сказал им Бог: «Дарую вам всякое, какое только есть на всей земле, растение, семена приносящее, и всякое дерево дарую, у которого плоды с семенами его, — они будут пищей вам.

30 А всем зверям, и всем птицам, и всему, что по земле ползает, — всем живым существам — всякое растение зеленое в пищу дано». И стало так.

31 Посмотрел Бог на всё, что Он создал, — оно было весьма хорошо. Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел шестой день.

Chapter 1

1 GOD created the heavens and the earth in the very beginning.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the water.

3 And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.

4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament from the waters that were above the firmament; and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters that are under the sky be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas; and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth vegetation, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, wherein is their seed, upon the earth; and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth vegetation, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree hearing fruit, wherein is its seed, after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

14 Then God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the smaller light to rule the night; and the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.

19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of the heaven.

21 And God created great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply on the earth.

23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

24 Then God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind; and it was so.

25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps upon the earth after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild beasts of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild beasts that move upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree which bears fruit yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creeps upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food; and it was so.

31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

4 Увидел Бог, что свет хорош. Отделил Он свет от тьмы

4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

6 И сказал Бог: «Да будет свод среди воды, пусть отделяет он одни воды от других».

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 Создал Бог свод и отделил воду под сводом от воды над ним. И стало так.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament from the waters that were above the firmament; and it was so.

8 Назвал Бог свод «небом». Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел второй день.

8 And God called the firmament Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

9 И сказал Бог: «Да соберутся воды, что под небом, в одно место, дабы показалась суша». И стало так.

9 And God said, Let the waters that are under the sky be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so.

10 Бог назвал сушу «землею», а собравшиеся воды назвал «морями». Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas; and God saw that it was good.

11 И сказал Бог: «Да зазеленеет земля, покрывшись разнообразной растительностью: растениями, семена дающими, и деревьями, по роду своему приносящими плоды с семенами своими». И стало так.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth vegetation, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, wherein is their seed, upon the earth; and it was so.

12 Всякую растительность произвела земля: растения, дающие семена по роду своему, и деревья с разными — по роду их — плодами с семенами своими. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

12 And the earth brought forth vegetation, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree hearing fruit, wherein is its seed, after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

13 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел третий день.

13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

14 И сказал Бог: «Да появятся светила на своде небесном, чтобы отделять день от ночи; и пусть они служат знаками, чтобы указывать на времена, дни и годы.

14 Then God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.

15 Пусть со свода небесного они освещают землю». И стало так.

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.

16 Два светила великие: большее, которое стало владыкою дня, и меньшее, чтобы правило оно ночью, — сотворил Бог, а также и звезды;

16 And God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the smaller light to rule the night; and the stars also.

17 и определил Бог место им на своде небесном, дабы землю освещать,

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth,

18 течением дня и ночи управлять и отделять свет от тьмы. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.

19 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел четвертый день.

19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

20 И сказал Бог: «Да кишит вода живыми существами, а над землей пусть птицы летают по небесным просторам».

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of the heaven.

21 Сотворил Бог и огромных тварей морских, и всякого рода иных живых существ, которыми кишит вода; сотворил Он и разного рода пернатых. Увидел Бог, что и это было хорошо.

21 And God created great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

22 Всех их Бог благословил, сказав: «Будьте плодовитыми и многочисленными, наполняйте воды в морях; и птицы пусть во множестве плодятся на земле».

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply on the earth.

23 Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел пятый день.

23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

24 И сказал Бог: «Да произведет земля всякого рода живых существ: скот, пресмыкающихся и всяких диких зверей». И стало так.

24 Then God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind; and it was so.

25 Создал Бог всякого рода диких зверей и скот, создал ползающих по земле существ всякого рода; увидел Он, что и это было хорошо.

25 And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps upon the earth after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

26 Тогда сказал Бог: «Создадим человека по образу Нашему, по подобию Нашему, чтобы властвовал он над рыбами, в воде живущими, и птицами, под небом парящими, и над скотом, и над всею землею, над всяким живым существом, по земле ползающим».

26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild beasts of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

27 И сотворил Бог человека по образу Своему, по Божию образу сотворил его, мужчину и женщину — обоих Он сотворил.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

28 Благословил их Бог и сказал им: «Будьте плодовитыми и многочисленными, заселяйте землю — вам владеть ею! Вам властвовать над рыбами в морях, птицами в небе и над всеми живыми существами на земле!»

28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild beasts that move upon the earth.

29 И еще сказал им Бог: «Дарую вам всякое, какое только есть на всей земле, растение, семена приносящее, и всякое дерево дарую, у которого плоды с семенами его, — они будут пищей вам.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree which bears fruit yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.

30 А всем зверям, и всем птицам, и всему, что по земле ползает, — всем живым существам — всякое растение зеленое в пищу дано». И стало так.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creeps upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food; and it was so.

31 Посмотрел Бог на всё, что Он создал, — оно было весьма хорошо. Был тогда и вечер, было и утро — прошел шестой день.

31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
