Второзаконие

Глава 1

1 Вот слова, которые Моисей сказал всему Израилю в пустыне, что к востоку от Иордана — то есть в иорданской долине — напротив Суфа, между Параном и Тофелом, Лаваном, Хацеротом и Ди-Загавом.

2 (На расстоянии одиннадцати дней от Хорива по дороге от горы Сеир к Кадеш-Барнеа.)

3 В сороковой год после выхода из Египта, в первый день одиннадцатого месяца Моисей объявил израильтянам все, что повелел ему о них Господь.

4 Это было после того, как он разбил Сигона, царя аморреев, который правил в Хешбоне, а в Эдреи разбил Ога, царя Башана, который правил в Аштароте.

5 К востоку от Иордана на земле Моава Моисей начал разъяснять этот Закон, говоря:

6 — Господь, наш Бог, говорил нам в Хориве: «Довольно вам жить у этой горы.

7 Сверните лагерь и идите в аморрейские нагорья и ко всем соседним народам, живущим в иорданской долине, в горах, в западных предгорьях, в Негеве и вдоль побережья, идите в землю хананеев и на Ливан, даже до великой реки Евфрата.

9 В то время я сказал вам: «Вы — слишком тяжелое бремя для меня одного.

10 Господь, ваш Бог, умножил ваше число, и сегодня вы многочисленны, как звезды на небе.

11 Пусть Господь, Бог ваших отцов, умножит ваше число в тысячу раз больше и благословит вас, как обещал!

12 Но как я могу нести тяжелое бремя ваших споров один?

13 Изберите мудрых, понимающих и уважаемых людей от каждого вашего рода, а я поставлю их над вами».

14 Вы отвечали мне: «То, что ты предлагаешь, хорошо».

15 Я выбрал из ваших родов мудрых и уважаемых людей и поставил их вождями над вами: начальниками над тысячами, сотнями, полусотнями и десятками и старейшинами в родах.

16 Я повелел в то время вашим судьям: выслушивайте споры между вашими братьями и судите справедливо, будет ли тяжба между израильтянами или между израильтянином и чужеземцем.

17 Когда будете судить, не будьте пристрастны. Выслушивайте как великого, так и малого. Никого не бойтесь, потому что суд принадлежит Богу. Приносите мне всякое дело, которое слишком трудно для вас, и я выслушаю его.

18 В то время я сказал вам все, что вы должны были делать.

19 Затем мы тронулись в путь, как повелел нам Господь. Вышли из Хорива, и пошли к аморрейским нагорьям через всю огромную и ужасную пустыню, которую вы видели, и достигли Кадеш-Барнеа.

20 Тогда я сказал вам: «Вы достигли аморрейских нагорий, которые Господь, наш Бог, отдает нам.

21 Смотри, Господь, твой Бог, отдал тебе землю. Поднимись и завладей ею, как сказал тебе Господь, Бог твоих отцов. Не бойся; не будь малодушным».

22 Тогда вы все пришли ко мне и сказали: «Пошлем вперед людей, пусть они разведают нам эту землю и расскажут о дороге, по которой нам идти, и о городах, куда мы вступим».

23 Мне понравилось это предложение, и я выбрал из вас двенадцать человек, по одному из каждого рода.

24 Они пошли, поднялись в нагорья, пришли в долину Эшкол и исследовали ее.

25 Взяв с собой плоды с той земли, они принесли их вниз к нам и доложили: «Хорошую землю дает нам Господь, наш Бог».

26 Но вы не захотели подниматься; вы взбунтовались против повеления Господа, вашего Бога.

27 Вы роптали у себя в шатрах и говорили: «Господь ненавидит нас. Поэтому Он вывел нас из Египта, чтобы отдать в руки аморреев и погубить.

28 Куда нам идти? Наши братья лишили нас смелости. Они говорят: „Тот народ сильнее и выше ростом; города там большие, со стенами до небес. Мы даже видели там потомков Анака“».

29 Тогда я сказал вам: «Не страшитесь, не бойтесь их.

30 Господь, ваш Бог, идет впереди, чтобы сражаться за вас, как Он сделал в Египте у вас на глазах

31 и в пустыне, где вы видели, как Господь, ваш Бог, носил вас, словно отец своего сына, на всем вашем пути вплоть до этого места».

32 Но вы не доверились Господу, вашему Богу,

33 Который шел перед вами во время путешествия ночью в огне, а днем в облаке, чтобы найти вам места для остановки и показать путь, которым вы должны идти.

34 Когда Господь услышал ваши речи, Он разгневался и поклялся:

35 «Ни один человек из этого злого поколения не увидит благодатной земли, которую Я клялся отдать вашим отцам,

36 кроме Халева, сына Иефоннии. Он увидит ее, и Я дам ему и его потомкам землю, через которую он проходил, потому что он от всего сердца последовал Господу».

37 Из-за вас Господь разгневался и на меня и сказал: «Ты тоже не войдешь туда.

38 Но твой помощник Иисус, сын Навин, войдет в эту землю. Ободряй его, потому что он поведет Израиль, чтобы унаследовать ее.

39 А дети, о которых вы говорили, что они попадут в плен, — ваши дети, которые еще не отличают хорошее от плохого, войдут в землю. Я отдам ее им, и они овладеют ею.

40 А вы повернитесь и отправляйтесь в пустыню, что на пути к Красному морю».

41 Тогда вы отвечали: «Мы согрешили против Господа. Мы поднимемся и сразимся, как повелел нам Господь, наш Бог». Вы взяли оружие, думая, что подняться в нагорья легко.

42 Но Господь сказал мне: «Скажи им: „Не поднимайтесь и не сражайтесь, потому что Меня не будет с вами. Ваши враги разобьют вас“».

43 Я сказал вам, но вы не послушали. Вы взбунтовались против повеления Господа и в своей гордыне поднялись в нагорья.

44 Аморреи, жившие в тех нагорьях, вышли против вас. Они преследовали вас, как пчелиный рой, и били вас от Сеира до самого города Хормы.

45 Вы вернулись и плакали перед Господом, но Он не внял вашему плачу и отказался услышать вас.

46 И много дней вы оставались в Кадеше — все то время, которое вы там провели.

1 THESE are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the low desert plain opposite the Red Sea, between Paran and Tophel and Lebanon and Hazeroth and Dizahab.

2 (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb to mount Seir to Rakim-gia.)

3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel according to all that the LORD had given him in commandment concerning them;

4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Mathnin, who dwelt in Astaroth and in Erdei,

5 Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab; Moses began to explain this law, saying,

6 The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, You have dwelt long enough in this mountain;

7 Turn and set out on your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places round about it, in the low desert plain, in the mountain, in the lowland and in the south and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.

8 Behold, I have given you the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.

9 And I said to you at that time, I am not able to bear you myself alone;

10 The LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are this day as the stars of heaven in multitude.

11 (May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times as many more as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!)

12 How can I myself bear alone your encumbrance and your burden and your strife?

13 Choose for yourselves wise men, who have understanding and are renowned among your tribes, and I will make them chiefs over you.

14 And you answered and said to me, The thing that you have spoken is good for us to do.

15 So I took the chiefs of your tribes, wise men and renowned, and made them chieftains over you, commanders over thousands and captains over hundreds and officers over fifty and officers over ten and scribes for your tribes.

16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

17 You shall not be partial to persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's; and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it to me, and I will hear it.

18 And I commanded you at that time all the things that you should do.

19 And when we journeyed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came as far as Rakim-gia.

20 And I said to you, You have come to the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God has given us.

21 Behold, the LORD your God has given the land before you; go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has said to you; fear not, neither be terrified.

22 Then all of you came near to me and said, Let us send men before us, and they shall spy out the land for us, and bring us word again and show us the way by which we must go up and the cities into which we shall come.

23 And the saying pleased me well; and I took twelve men of you, one man of each tribe;

24 And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came as far as the valley of Segola, and spied out the land.

25 And they took some of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down to us, and they brought us word again and said to us, It is a good land which the LORD our God does give to us.

26 But in spite of this, you would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God;

27 And you murmured in your tents and said, It is because the LORD hated us that he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

28 Whither shall we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our heart, tying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of giants there.

29 Then I said to you, Fear not, neither tremble of them.

30 The LORD your God, who goes before you, shall fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

31 And in the wilderness, where you saw how the LORD your God nourished you, just as a man nourishes his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.

32 Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God,

33 Who went in the way before you to prepare a place for you to encamp in it, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.

34 And the LORD heard the voice of your complaining, and was angry, and swore, saying,

35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers,

36 Except Caleb the son of Jophaniah; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land upon which he has trodden, and to his children, because he has wholly followed the LORD.

37 Also the LORD was angry with me on your account, saying, You also shall not go in thither.

38 But Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there; encourage him; for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

39 Moreover your little ones, who you said would be a prey, and your children, who in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, shall go in there, and to them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

40 But as for you, turn you and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

41 Then you answered and said to me, We have sinned against the LORD our God, we will go up and fight, just as the LORD our God commanded us. And when you had girded on every man his weapons of war, you were stirred up to go up into the mountain.

42 And the LORD said to me, Say to them, You shall not go up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.

43 So I spoke to you; and you would not listen, and you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the mountain.

44 And the Amorites, who dwelt in that mountain, came out against you and chased you as smoked-out bees do, and drove you away from Seir, as far as Hirmah.

45 Then you sat down and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice nor give ear to you.

46 So you remained in Rakim many days, according to the days that you remained there.

3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel according to all that the LORD had given him in commandment concerning them;

4 Это было после того, как он разбил Сигона, царя аморреев, который правил в Хешбоне, а в Эдреи разбил Ога, царя Башана, который правил в Аштароте.

4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Mathnin, who dwelt in Astaroth and in Erdei,

5 Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab; Moses began to explain this law, saying,

6 The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, You have dwelt long enough in this mountain;

7 Сверните лагерь и идите в аморрейские нагорья и ко всем соседним народам, живущим в иорданской долине, в горах, в западных предгорьях, в Негеве и вдоль побережья, идите в землю хананеев и на Ливан, даже до великой реки Евфрата.

7 Turn and set out on your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places round about it, in the low desert plain, in the mountain, in the lowland and in the south and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.

8 Смотрите, Я дал вам эту землю. Войдите и овладейте землей, которую Господь клялся отдать вашим отцам Аврааму, Исааку и Иакову — и их семени».

8 Behold, I have given you the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.

9 В то время я сказал вам: «Вы — слишком тяжелое бремя для меня одного.

9 And I said to you at that time, I am not able to bear you myself alone;

10 Господь, ваш Бог, умножил ваше число, и сегодня вы многочисленны, как звезды на небе.

10 The LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are this day as the stars of heaven in multitude.

11 Пусть Господь, Бог ваших отцов, умножит ваше число в тысячу раз больше и благословит вас, как обещал!

11 (May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times as many more as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!)

12 Но как я могу нести тяжелое бремя ваших споров один?

12 How can I myself bear alone your encumbrance and your burden and your strife?

13 Изберите мудрых, понимающих и уважаемых людей от каждого вашего рода, а я поставлю их над вами».

13 Choose for yourselves wise men, who have understanding and are renowned among your tribes, and I will make them chiefs over you.

14 Вы отвечали мне: «То, что ты предлагаешь, хорошо».

14 And you answered and said to me, The thing that you have spoken is good for us to do.

15 Я выбрал из ваших родов мудрых и уважаемых людей и поставил их вождями над вами: начальниками над тысячами, сотнями, полусотнями и десятками и старейшинами в родах.

15 So I took the chiefs of your tribes, wise men and renowned, and made them chieftains over you, commanders over thousands and captains over hundreds and officers over fifty and officers over ten and scribes for your tribes.

16 Я повелел в то время вашим судьям: выслушивайте споры между вашими братьями и судите справедливо, будет ли тяжба между израильтянами или между израильтянином и чужеземцем.

16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

17 Когда будете судить, не будьте пристрастны. Выслушивайте как великого, так и малого. Никого не бойтесь, потому что суд принадлежит Богу. Приносите мне всякое дело, которое слишком трудно для вас, и я выслушаю его.

17 You shall not be partial to persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's; and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it to me, and I will hear it.

18 В то время я сказал вам все, что вы должны были делать.

18 And I commanded you at that time all the things that you should do.

19 Затем мы тронулись в путь, как повелел нам Господь. Вышли из Хорива, и пошли к аморрейским нагорьям через всю огромную и ужасную пустыню, которую вы видели, и достигли Кадеш-Барнеа.

19 And when we journeyed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came as far as Rakim-gia.

20 Тогда я сказал вам: «Вы достигли аморрейских нагорий, которые Господь, наш Бог, отдает нам.

20 And I said to you, You have come to the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God has given us.

21 Смотри, Господь, твой Бог, отдал тебе землю. Поднимись и завладей ею, как сказал тебе Господь, Бог твоих отцов. Не бойся; не будь малодушным».

21 Behold, the LORD your God has given the land before you; go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has said to you; fear not, neither be terrified.

22 Тогда вы все пришли ко мне и сказали: «Пошлем вперед людей, пусть они разведают нам эту землю и расскажут о дороге, по которой нам идти, и о городах, куда мы вступим».

22 Then all of you came near to me and said, Let us send men before us, and they shall spy out the land for us, and bring us word again and show us the way by which we must go up and the cities into which we shall come.

23 Мне понравилось это предложение, и я выбрал из вас двенадцать человек, по одному из каждого рода.

23 And the saying pleased me well; and I took twelve men of you, one man of each tribe;

24 Они пошли, поднялись в нагорья, пришли в долину Эшкол и исследовали ее.

24 And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came as far as the valley of Segola, and spied out the land.

25 Взяв с собой плоды с той земли, они принесли их вниз к нам и доложили: «Хорошую землю дает нам Господь, наш Бог».

25 And they took some of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down to us, and they brought us word again and said to us, It is a good land which the LORD our God does give to us.

26 Но вы не захотели подниматься; вы взбунтовались против повеления Господа, вашего Бога.

26 But in spite of this, you would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God;

27 Вы роптали у себя в шатрах и говорили: «Господь ненавидит нас. Поэтому Он вывел нас из Египта, чтобы отдать в руки аморреев и погубить.

27 And you murmured in your tents and said, It is because the LORD hated us that he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

28 Куда нам идти? Наши братья лишили нас смелости. Они говорят: „Тот народ сильнее и выше ростом; города там большие, со стенами до небес. Мы даже видели там потомков Анака“».

28 Whither shall we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our heart, tying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of giants there.

29 Тогда я сказал вам: «Не страшитесь, не бойтесь их.

29 Then I said to you, Fear not, neither tremble of them.

30 Господь, ваш Бог, идет впереди, чтобы сражаться за вас, как Он сделал в Египте у вас на глазах

30 The LORD your God, who goes before you, shall fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

31 и в пустыне, где вы видели, как Господь, ваш Бог, носил вас, словно отец своего сына, на всем вашем пути вплоть до этого места».

31 And in the wilderness, where you saw how the LORD your God nourished you, just as a man nourishes his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.

32 Но вы не доверились Господу, вашему Богу,

32 Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God,

33 Который шел перед вами во время путешествия ночью в огне, а днем в облаке, чтобы найти вам места для остановки и показать путь, которым вы должны идти.

33 Who went in the way before you to prepare a place for you to encamp in it, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.

34 Когда Господь услышал ваши речи, Он разгневался и поклялся:

34 And the LORD heard the voice of your complaining, and was angry, and swore, saying,

35 «Ни один человек из этого злого поколения не увидит благодатной земли, которую Я клялся отдать вашим отцам,

37 Also the LORD was angry with me on your account, saying, You also shall not go in thither.

38 Но твой помощник Иисус, сын Навин, войдет в эту землю. Ободряй его, потому что он поведет Израиль, чтобы унаследовать ее.

38 But Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there; encourage him; for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

39 А дети, о которых вы говорили, что они попадут в плен, — ваши дети, которые еще не отличают хорошее от плохого, войдут в землю. Я отдам ее им, и они овладеют ею.

39 Moreover your little ones, who you said would be a prey, and your children, who in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, shall go in there, and to them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

40 А вы повернитесь и отправляйтесь в пустыню, что на пути к Красному морю».

40 But as for you, turn you and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

41 Тогда вы отвечали: «Мы согрешили против Господа. Мы поднимемся и сразимся, как повелел нам Господь, наш Бог». Вы взяли оружие, думая, что подняться в нагорья легко.

45 Then you sat down and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice nor give ear to you.

46 So you remained in Rakim many days, according to the days that you remained there.
