Chapter 55

1 Ho,1945 every one3605 that thirsteth,6771 come1980 ye to the waters,4325 and he that834 hath no369 money;3701 come1980 ye, buy,7666 and eat;398 yea, come,1980 buy7666 wine3196 and milk2461 without3808 money3701 and without3808 price.4242

2 Wherefore4100 do ye spend8254 money3701 for that which is not3808 bread?3899 and your labor3018 for that which satisfieth7654 not?3808 hearken diligently8085 8085 unto413 me, and eat398 ye that which is good,2896 and let your soul5315 delight itself6026 in fatness.1880

3 Incline5186 your ear,241 and come1980 unto413 me: hear,8085 and your soul5315 shall live;2421 and I will make3772 an everlasting5769 covenant1285 with you, even the sure539 mercies2617 of David.1732

4 Behold,2005 I have given5414 him for a witness5707 to the people,3816 a leader5057 and commander6680 to the people.3816

5 Behold,2005 thou shalt call7121 a nation1471 that thou knowest3045 not,3808 and nations1471 that knew3045 not3808 thee shall run7323 unto413 thee because4616 of the LORD3068 thy God,430 and for the Holy One6918 of Israel;3478 for3588 he hath glorified6286 thee.

6 Seek1875 ye the LORD3068 while he may be found,4672 call7121 ye upon him while he is1961 near: 7138

7 Let the wicked7563 forsake5800 his way,1870 and the unrighteous205 man376 his thoughts:4284 and let him return7725 unto413 the LORD,3068 and he will have mercy7355 upon him; and to413 our God,430 for3588 he will abundantly7235 pardon.5545

8 For3588 my thoughts4284 are not3808 your thoughts,4284 neither3808 are your ways1870 my ways,1870 saith5002 the LORD.3068

9 For3588 as the heavens8064 are higher1361 than the earth,4480 776 so3651 are my ways higher1361 1870 than your ways,4480 1870 and my thoughts4284 than your thoughts.4480 4284

11 So3651 shall my word1697 be1961 that834 goeth forth3318 out of my mouth:4480 6310 it shall not3808 return7725 unto413 me void,7387 but3588 518 it shall accomplish6213 853 that which834 I please,2654 and it shall prosper6743 in the thing whereto834 I sent7971 it.

12 For3588 ye shall go out3318 with joy,8057 and be led forth2986 with peace:7965 the mountains2022 and the hills1389 shall break forth6476 before6440 you into singing,7440 and all3605 the trees6086 of the field7704 shall clap4222 their hands.3709

13 Instead8478 of the thorn5285 shall come up5927 the fir tree,1265 and instead8478 of the brier5636 shall come up5927 the myrtle tree:1918 and it shall be1961 to the LORD3068 for a name,8034 for an everlasting5769 sign226 that shall not3808 be cut off.3772

1 你們一切乾渴的都當就近水來，沒有錢［money］的也可以來；你們都來，買了吃；不用錢［money］，不用價值，也來買酒和奶。

2 你們為何花錢［money］買那不是［which is not］食物的？用勞碌得來的買那不使人飽足的呢？你們要留意聽我的話就能吃那美物，得享肥甘，心中喜樂。

3 你們當側［Incline］耳［ear］就近我來。你們［your］當聽［hear］，就必得活；我必與你們立永約，就是應許大衛那可靠的恩典。

4 看哪［Behold］，我已立他作眾民［people］的見證，為眾民［people］的君王和司令。

5 看哪［Behold］，你素不認識的國民，你也必召來，素不認識你的國民也必向你奔跑，都因耶和華─你的神，並因［and for］以色列的聖者；因［for］他已經榮耀你。

6 當趁耶和華可尋找的時候尋找他，相近的時候求告他。

7 惡人當離棄自己的道路，不義的人當除掉自己的意念。歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐恤他；當歸向我們的神，因他［for he］必多［abundantly］行赦免。

8 耶和華說：我的意念非同你們的意念，我的道路非同你們的道路。

9 諸天［heavens］怎樣高過大地［earth］，照樣，我的道路高過你們的道路，我的意念高過你們的意念。

10 雨雪從天而降，並不返回，卻滋潤地土，使地上滋生發芽［bring forth and bud］，使撒種的有種，使要吃的有糧；

11 我口所出的話也必如此；決不徒然返回，卻要成就我所喜悅的，在我發命所定［whereto I sent it］的事上必然亨通。

12 你們必歡歡喜喜而出來，平平安安蒙引導；大山小山必在你們面前發聲歌唱，田野的樹木也都拍掌。

13 松樹長出，代替荊棘；番石榴長出，代替蒺藜。這要為耶和華留名，作為永遠的證據，不能剪除。

10 雨雪從天而降，並不返回，卻滋潤地土，使地上滋生發芽［bring forth and bud］，使撒種的有種，使要吃的有糧；
