2 For3588 he flattereth2505 413 himself in his own eyes,5869 until his iniquity5771 be found4672 to be hateful.8130

3 The words1697 of his mouth6310 are iniquity205 and deceit:4820 he hath left off2308 to be wise,7919 and to do good.3190

1 THE unjust conceives wickedness within his heart, for there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 He is unwilling to see his sins forgiven, or to hate them.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he is unwilling to do good.

4 He devises mischief upon his bed; he walks in a way that is not good that he may do evil.

5 O LORD, thy mercy is in heaven; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the universe.

6 Thy righteouness is like the mountain of God; thy judgments are like a great deep; O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

7 How abundant is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They shall flourish with the richness of thy house; and thou shalt give them to drink of the pleasant water of thy spring.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light shall we see light.
