Глава 6

1 И начал Иов, и сказал:

2 О, если бы верно взвешена была горесть моя, и все страдание мое на весы положили!

3 Ибо теперь оно тяжелее песка морей; от того мои слова были неистовы.

4 Ибо стрелы Вседержителя во мне, дух мой пьет жгущий яд их; ужасы Божии ополчились против меня,

5 Ревет ли дикий осел на траве? мычит ли бык у месива своего?

6 Едят ли неприятное без соли? и есть ли вкус в яичном белке?

7 Не хочет коснуться душа моя... все такое подобно болезням, пище моей.

8 О, когда бы сбылось желание мое, и чаяние мое исполнил Бог!

9 О, если бы соизволил Бог сокрушить меня, дал волю руке Своей, чтоб рассечь меня!

10 И была бы еще отрада мне, и я был бы в восторге среди нещадной муки: ибо я не отвергся изречений Святого.

11 Что моя сила, чтобы я мог надеяться? и что остаток мой, чтобы я мог продолжать терпение?

12 Твердость ли камней твердость моя? плоть моя медь ли?

13 Се! помощи для меня нет во мне, и всякая опора отгнана от меня.

14 Изнемогшему милость от друга его, или сей не имеет совсем страха ко Вседержителю.

15 Братья мои обманывают как поток, как преходящие ручьи в долинах.

16 Печально шумят они от льда, в них снег сокрылся.

17 По времени становятся уже, тише, стало ли жарко им, исчезают с места своего.

18 Уклоняются дружины странствующих на путь их, восходят в пустыню и погибают.

19 Смотрят дружины Фемайские, путешествующие Савеяне ждут их;

20 Остаются посрамленными в надежде, приходят туда, и от стыда краснеют.

21 Так! вы ничто теперь; увидели страх и испугались.

22 Говорил ли я: `дайте мне, и от достатка вашего подарите за меня,

23 И избавьте меня от руки врага, и выкупите меня из руки страшных?`

24 Научите меня, и я умолкну; и в чем я погрешал, вразумите меня.

25 Как болезненны слова истины стали! и что доказывают доказательства ваши?

26 Думаете ли судить слова? и слова лишившегося надежды принимаете ли за самый дух?

27 И хорошо вам бросаться на сироту, и пировать над другом вашим?

28 Но соизвольте ныне воззреть на меня; и мог ли я пред лицем вашим говорить лживо?

29 Итак, начните снова; пусть не будет несправедливости; и я дам отзыв; еще моя справедливость в сем деле.

30 На языке ли моем погрешность есть? разве устам моим не чувствовать горестей?

4 For the arrows2671 of the Almighty7706 are within5978 me, the poison2534 whereof834 drinks8354 up my spirit:7307 the terrors1161 of God433 do set themselves in array6186 against me.

5 Does the wild6501 ass6501 bray5101 when he has grass?1877 or lows1600 the ox7794 over5921 his fodder?1098

6 Can that which is unsavory8602 be eaten398 without1097 salt?4417 or is there any taste2940 in the white7388 of an egg?2495

7 The things that my soul5315 refused3985 to touch5060 are as my sorrowful1741 meat.3899
