1 Вместо Иехонии,3659 сына1121 Иоакима,3079 царствовал4427 Седекия,6667 сын1121 Иосии,2977 которого Навуходоносор,5019 царь4428 Вавилонский,894 поставил4427 царем4427 в земле776 Иудейской.3063

2 Ни он, ни слуги5650 его, ни народ5971 страны776 не слушали8085 слов1697 Господа,3068 которые говорил1696 Он чрез3027 Иеремию3414 пророка.5030

3 Царь4428 Седекия6667 послал7971 Иегухала,3081 сына1121 Селемии,8018 и Софонию,6846 сына1121 Маасеи,4641 священника,3548 к Иеремии3414 пророку5030 сказать:559 помолись6419 о нас Господу3068 Богу430 нашему.

4 Иеремия3414 тогда еще свободно входил935 и выходил3318 среди8432 народа,5971 потому что не заключили5414 его в дом1004 темничный.3628

5 Между тем войско2428 фараоново6547 выступило3318 из Египта,4714 и Халдеи,3778 осаждавшие6696 Иерусалим,3389 услышав8085 весть8088 о том, отступили5927 от Иерусалима.3389

6 И было слово1697 Господне3068 к Иеремии3414 пророку:5030

7 так говорит559 Господь,3068 Бог430 Израилев:3478 так скажите559 царю4428 Иудейскому,3063 пославшему7971 вас ко Мне вопросить1875 Меня: вот, войско2428 фараоново,6547 которое шло3318 к вам на помощь,5833 возвратится7725 в землю776 свою, в Египет;4714

8 а Халдеи3778 снова7725 придут7725 и будут3898 воевать3898 против города5892 сего, и возьмут3920 его и сожгут8313 его огнем.784

9 Так говорит559 Господь:3068 не обманывайте5377 себя,5315 говоря:559 «непременно1980 отойдут3212 от нас Халдеи»,3778 ибо они не отойдут;3212

10 если бы вы даже разбили5221 все войско2428 Халдеев,3778 воюющих3898 против вас, и остались7604 бы у них только раненые,1856582 то и те встали6965 бы, каждый376 из палатки168 своей, и сожгли8313 бы город5892 сей огнем.784

11 В то время, как войско2428 Халдейское3778 отступило5927 от Иерусалима,3389 по причине войска2428 фараонова,6547

12 Иеремия3414 пошел3318 из Иерусалима,3389 чтобы уйти3212 в землю776 Вениаминову,1144 скрываясь2505 оттуда среди8432 народа.5971

13 Но когда он был в воротах8179 Вениаминовых,1144 бывший там начальник1167 стражи,6488 по имени8034 Иреия,3376 сын1121 Селемии,8018 сына1121 Анании,2608 задержал8610 Иеремию3414 пророка,5030 сказав:559 ты хочешь5307 перебежать5307 к Халдеям?3778

14 Иеремия3414 сказал:559 это ложь;8267 я не хочу5307 перебежать5307 к Халдеям.3778 Но он не послушал8085 его, и взял8610 Иреия3376 Иеремию3414 и привел935 его к князьям.8269

15 Князья8269 озлобились7107 на Иеремию3414 и били5221 его, и заключили5414 его в темницу,612 в дом1004 Ионафана3083 писца,5608 потому что сделали6213 его темницею.3608

16 Когда Иеремия3414 вошел935 в темницу1004953 и подвал,2588 и пробыл3427 там Иеремия3414 много7227 дней,3117 —

17 царь4428 Седекия6667 послал7971 и взял3947 его. И спрашивал7592 его царь4428 в доме1004 своем тайно5643 и сказал:559 нет ли слова1697 от Господа?3068 Иеремия3414 сказал:559 есть;3426 и сказал:559 ты будешь5414 предан5414 в руки3027 царя4428 Вавилонского.894

18 И сказал559 Иеремия3414 царю4428 Седекии:6667 чем я согрешил2398 перед тобою и перед слугами5650 твоими, и перед народом5971 сим, что вы посадили5414 меня в темницу?10043608

19 и где346 ваши пророки,5030 которые пророчествовали5012 вам, говоря:559 «царь4428 Вавилонский894 не пойдет935 против вас и против земли776 сей»?

20 И ныне послушай,8085 государь113 мой царь,4428 да падет5307 прошение8467 мое пред лице3942 твое; не возвращай7725 меня в дом1004 Ионафана3083 писца,5608 чтобы мне не умереть4191 там.

21 И дал6680 повеление6680 царь4428 Седекия,6667 чтобы заключили6485 Иеремию3414 во дворе2691 стражи4307 и давали5414 ему по куску3603 хлеба3899 на день3117 из улицы2351 хлебопеков,644 доколе не истощился8552 весь хлеб3899 в городе;5892 и так оставался3427 Иеремия3414 во дворе2691 стражи.4307

Chapter 37

1 AND King Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

2 But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land listened to the words of the LORD, which he spoke through Jeremiah the prophet.

3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maasiah the priest to Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Pray now for us before the LORD your God.

4 Now Jeremiah was free, going out and coming in among the people; for they had not yet put him in prison.

5 Then Pharaoh's army came forth out of Egypt; and when the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard the report, they departed from Jerusalem.

6 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

7 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Thus shall you say to the king of Judah, who sent you to me to inquire of me: Behold, Pharaoh's army, which has come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.

8 And the Chaldeans shall return again and fight against this city, and they shall take it and burn it with fire.

9 Thus says the LORD: Do not think within yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely withdraw from us; for they shall not withdraw.

10 For even if you should destroy the whole army of Chaldeans that is fighting against you and there remained but wounded men among them, yet they would rise up every man from his tent and burn this city with fire.

11 And it came to pass that when the Chaldean army had departed from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,

12 Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin to divide a portion of property there with the people.

13 And as he stood in the gate of Benjamin, an officer was there whose name was Neriah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he seized Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, You are escaping to the Chaldeans.

14 Then Jeremiah said, You lie; I am not escaping to the Chaldeans. But he would not listen to him; so Neriah seized Jeremiah and brought him to the princes.

15 And the princes were angry with Jeremiah; so they scourged him and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe; for he was appointed warden over the prisoners.

16 And they lowered Jeremiah from the opening of the well into its depths, and Jeremiah remained there many days;

17 Then King Zedekiah sent and brought him up; and the king conferred with him secretly in the palace and said to him, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is. And the king said, What is it? Then Jeremiah said, You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

18 Moreover Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah, What offence have I done against you or against your servants or against this people, that you have put me into prison?

19 Where are now your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you nor against this land?

20 Therefore now listen to me, O my lord the king; let my supplication be acceptable before you, that you may not cause me to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.

21 Then King Zedekiah gave an order, and they allowed Jeremiah to stay in the court of the prison, and they gave him a loaf of bread daily from the bakers' street until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maasiah the priest to Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Pray now for us before the LORD your God.

4 Now Jeremiah was free, going out and coming in among the people; for they had not yet put him in prison.

5 Между тем войско2428 фараоново6547 выступило3318 из Египта,4714 и Халдеи,3778 осаждавшие6696 Иерусалим,3389 услышав8085 весть8088 о том, отступили5927 от Иерусалима.3389

5 Then Pharaoh's army came forth out of Egypt; and when the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard the report, they departed from Jerusalem.

6 И было слово1697 Господне3068 к Иеремии3414 пророку:5030

6 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

7 так говорит559 Господь,3068 Бог430 Израилев:3478 так скажите559 царю4428 Иудейскому,3063 пославшему7971 вас ко Мне вопросить1875 Меня: вот, войско2428 фараоново,6547 которое шло3318 к вам на помощь,5833 возвратится7725 в землю776 свою, в Египет;4714

7 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Thus shall you say to the king of Judah, who sent you to me to inquire of me: Behold, Pharaoh's army, which has come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.

8 а Халдеи3778 снова7725 придут7725 и будут3898 воевать3898 против города5892 сего, и возьмут3920 его и сожгут8313 его огнем.784

8 And the Chaldeans shall return again and fight against this city, and they shall take it and burn it with fire.

9 Так говорит559 Господь:3068 не обманывайте5377 себя,5315 говоря:559 «непременно1980 отойдут3212 от нас Халдеи»,3778 ибо они не отойдут;3212

9 Thus says the LORD: Do not think within yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely withdraw from us; for they shall not withdraw.

10 если бы вы даже разбили5221 все войско2428 Халдеев,3778 воюющих3898 против вас, и остались7604 бы у них только раненые,1856582 то и те встали6965 бы, каждый376 из палатки168 своей, и сожгли8313 бы город5892 сей огнем.784

10 For even if you should destroy the whole army of Chaldeans that is fighting against you and there remained but wounded men among them, yet they would rise up every man from his tent and burn this city with fire.

11 В то время, как войско2428 Халдейское3778 отступило5927 от Иерусалима,3389 по причине войска2428 фараонова,6547

11 And it came to pass that when the Chaldean army had departed from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,

12 Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin to divide a portion of property there with the people.

13 And as he stood in the gate of Benjamin, an officer was there whose name was Neriah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he seized Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, You are escaping to the Chaldeans.

14 Then Jeremiah said, You lie; I am not escaping to the Chaldeans. But he would not listen to him; so Neriah seized Jeremiah and brought him to the princes.

15 Князья8269 озлобились7107 на Иеремию3414 и били5221 его, и заключили5414 его в темницу,612 в дом1004 Ионафана3083 писца,5608 потому что сделали6213 его темницею.3608

15 And the princes were angry with Jeremiah; so they scourged him and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe; for he was appointed warden over the prisoners.

16 Когда Иеремия3414 вошел935 в темницу1004953 и подвал,2588 и пробыл3427 там Иеремия3414 много7227 дней,3117 —

18 Moreover Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah, What offence have I done against you or against your servants or against this people, that you have put me into prison?

19 и где346 ваши пророки,5030 которые пророчествовали5012 вам, говоря:559 «царь4428 Вавилонский894 не пойдет935 против вас и против земли776 сей»?

19 Where are now your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you nor against this land?

20 И ныне послушай,8085 государь113 мой царь,4428 да падет5307 прошение8467 мое пред лице3942 твое; не возвращай7725 меня в дом1004 Ионафана3083 писца,5608 чтобы мне не умереть4191 там.

21 Then King Zedekiah gave an order, and they allowed Jeremiah to stay in the court of the prison, and they gave him a loaf of bread daily from the bakers' street until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
