箴言

第31章

1 利母益王之母，訓王以箴言，曰，

2 我之愛子，我語汝，我昔許願而生汝，宜聽我言。

3 維彼淫婦，戕害王躬，耗王精力，汝毋呢之。

4 利母益乎，清酒醇醪，王毋過飲，

5 恐忘律例，枉法以害貧。

6 清酒醇醪，以飲將死之人，罹憂之輩，

7 使忘其貧，不憶其苦。

8 喑者代爲口，危者伸其寃。

9 秉公義，救貧乏。

10 孰得賢妻，價貴琅玕。

11 其夫恃之，無所匱乏。

12 雖至畢生，有益無損，

13 得綿枲，樂擘績，

14 譬彼艚舶，轉運食物，來自遠方，

15 未及黎明，賢妻夙興，供僕之食，課婢之工，

16 見良田則購之，出其贏餘，以築葡萄園，

17 勁腰健臂，

18 操作獲利，篝燈永夜，

19 執籰紡績，

20 賙濟貧乏，

21 家人重衣，不畏雨雪，

22 手製寢衣，自服赤綿。

23 夫坐公庭，名著長老之中。

24 婦作布售之於巿，作紳售之於商賈，

25 所製之服，華美縝密，不歎無衣於後日。

26 所言者明哲之詞，仁愛之語，

27 勤家政，不素餐。

28 夫善之，子德之，

29 世之娶妻而賢者甚多，惟此婦爲冠。

30 其有丰采殊色者，盡屬於虛，不如寅畏耶和華者，必得讚美，

31 所行結善果，在民間有令聞焉。

5 Lest6435 they drink,8354 and forget7911 the law,2710 and pervert8138 the judgment1779 of any3605 of the afflicted.6040

6 Give5414 strong drink7941 to him that is ready4131 to perish,6 and wine3196 to those that be of heavy4751 hearts.5315
