第3章

1 有言出妻、任其他適、旣出勿納、恐斯邦染其污衊。耶和華曰、惟爾縱欲背予、崇事他上帝、今使爾歸誠於我、

2 曠覽崇坵、何往非爾狥欲之地、爾憩坐途側以惑衆、若亞喇伯人、潛身曠野以害人、爾作惡縱欲、污衊斯邦。

3 甘霖不沛、春?不降、爾靦顏不知恥、有若淫婦。

4 當爾幼沖、我誨爾諄諄、何至今日、不以我爲父。

5 予不恒責爾、不屢怒爾、然爾所言所行、惟惡而已。〇

6 當約西亞王年間、耶和華告耶利米曰、以色列族、有若淫婦、爾豈不見乎、彼背我、陟高巒、入茂林、狥欲而行。

7 我見其所爲、欲其歸誠、惟彼不從、其與猶大族、親若姊妹、猶大族效尤、屢欺侮予。

8 以色列族旣背我、狥欲而行、我棄之、與以離書、其姊妹猶大族、屢欺侮予、毫無畏葸、狥欲而行、我鑒察之、彼狥欲特甚、崇拜木石、污衊斯邦、厥後佯爲歸誠、心不誠慤。〇

11 耶和華又告耶利米曰、以色列族背予、猶大人欺予、若相比較、則以色列之過尤細。

12 爾往北方、揚聲播告曰、耶和華曰爾以色列族背予、今當歸誠、蓋余矜憫爲懷、不常蓄怒、必眷顧爾。

13 我耶和華爾之上帝、爾違逆予、不遵我命、入諸茂林、崇事他上帝、今當任過。

14 耶和華又曰、爾曹違逆之流、爲我所棄、今當歸誠、我必納爾、於城邑中則簡一人、於支派中則簡二人、導至郇山。

15 民牧若得我心者、我必立之、使以智慧、治理爾曹。

16 耶和華曰、當斯之時、爾旣蕃衍於茲土、則我之約匱、可置之弗道、勿復貴重、毋庸憶念、不詣其所、不製其式、如昔所爲。

17 以耶路撒冷、爲我駐蹕之所、列邦之民必詣斯邑、尊崇我名、惡念不生、惡事弗作。

18 斯時也、猶大家會以色列族偕行、來自北方、至我所予厥祖之地。

19 予竊自思、安能以爲爾赤子、斯土膏腴、列國之民以爲佳業、焉能予爾。轉念曰、爾稱予爲父、無違逆予、則可。

20 耶和華又曰、以色列族歟、爾曹欺予、若婦欺夫。

21 爾曹背道、忘我耶和華、爾之上帝、今在童山、我聞哭聲、龥呼於上。

22 我曰、背逆之子、歸誠於我、我宥爾罪。民曰、爾耶和華乃我之上帝、今我詣爾之前。

23 禱彼岡巒、俱爲徒勞、惟我上帝耶和華拯救以色列族。

24 自昔以來、我之列祖、竭勞而得、牛羊子女、悉爲可惡者、吞噬無遺。

25 自古迄今、我之列祖、爰及我躬、獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、不遵其命、故蒙羞恥、一蹶不振。

1 They say,559 If2005 a man376 put7971 away his wife,802 and she go1980 from him, and become1961 another312 man's,376 shall he return7725 to her again?5750 shall not that land776 be greatly polluted?2610 but you have played the harlot2181 with many7227 lovers;7453 yet return7725 again to me, said5002 the LORD.3068

2 Lift5375 up your eyes5869 to the high8205 places, and see7200 where375 you have not been lien7693 with. In the ways1870 have you sat3427 for them, as the Arabian6163 in the wilderness;4057 and you have polluted2610 the land776 with your prostitutions2184 and with your wickedness.7451

3 Therefore the showers7241 have been withheld,4513 and there has been1961 no3808 latter4456 rain;4456 and you had a whore's2181 forehead,4696 you refused3985 to be ashamed.3637

4 Will you not from this time6258 cry7121 to me, My father,1 you are the guide441 of my youth?5271

5 Will he reserve5201 his anger for ever? will he keep8104 it to the end?5331 Behold,2009 you have spoken1696 and done6213 evil7451 things as you could.3201

6 The LORD3068 said559 also to me in the days3117 of Josiah2977 the king,4428 Have you seen7200 that which834 backsliding4878 Israel3478 has done?6213 she is gone1980 up on every3605 high1364 mountain2022 and under413 8478 every3605 green7488 tree,6086 and there8033 has played the harlot.2181

7 And I said559 after310 she had done6213 all3605 these428 things, Turn7725 you to me. But she returned7725 not. And her treacherous901 sister269 Judah3063 saw7200 it.

8 And I saw,7200 when3588 for all3605 the causes182 whereby834 backsliding4878 Israel3478 committed5003 adultery5003 I had put7971 her away, and given5414 her a bill5612 of divorce;3748 yet her treacherous898 sister269 Judah3063 feared3372 not, but went3212 and played the harlot2181 also.1571

9 And it came1961 to pass through the lightness6963 of her prostitution,2184 that she defiled2610 the land,776 and committed5003 adultery5003 with stones68 and with stocks.6086

10 And yet for all3605 this2063 her treacherous901 sister269 Judah3063 has not turned7725 to me with her whole3605 heart,3820 but feignedly,8267 said5002 the LORD.3068

11 And the LORD3068 said559 to me, The backsliding4878 Israel3478 has justified6663 herself more than treacherous898 Judah.3063

12 Go1980 and proclaim7121 these428 words1697 toward the north,6828 and say,559 Return,7725 you backsliding4878 Israel,3478 said5002 the LORD;3068 and I will not cause my anger6440 to fall5307 on you: for I am merciful,2623 said5002 the LORD,3068 and I will not keep5201 anger for ever.5769

13 Only389 acknowledge3045 your iniquity,5771 that you have transgressed6586 against the LORD3068 your God,430 and have scattered6340 your ways1870 to the strangers2114 under8478 every3605 green7488 tree,6086 and you have not obeyed8085 my voice,6963 said5002 the LORD.3068

14 Turn,7725 O backsliding7726 children,1121 said5002 the LORD;3068 for I am married1166 to you: and I will take3947 you one259 of a city,5892 and two8147 of a family,4940 and I will bring935 you to Zion:6726

15 And I will give5414 you pastors7462 according to my heart,3820 which shall feed7462 you with knowledge1844 and understanding.7919

16 And it shall come1961 to pass, when3588 you be multiplied7235 and increased6509 in the land,776 in those1992 days,3117 said5002 the LORD,3068 they shall say559 no3808 more,5750 The ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD:3068 neither3808 shall it come5927 to mind:3820 neither3808 shall they remember2142 it; neither3808 shall they visit6485 it; neither3808 shall that be done6213 any more.5750

17 At that time6256 they shall call7121 Jerusalem3389 the throne3678 of the LORD;3068 and all3605 the nations1471 shall be gathered6960 to it, to the name8034 of the LORD,3068 to Jerusalem:3389 neither3808 shall they walk3212 any more5750 after310 the imagination8307 of their evil7451 heart.3820

18 In those1992 days3117 the house1004 of Judah3063 shall walk3212 with the house1004 of Israel,3478 and they shall come935 together3162 out of the land776 of the north6828 to the land776 that I have given for an inheritance5157 to your fathers.1

19 But I said,559 How349 shall I put7896 you among the children,1121 and give5414 you a pleasant2532 land,776 a goodly6643 heritage5159 of the hosts6635 of nations?1471 and I said,559 You shall call7121 me, My father;1 and shall not turn7725 away from me.

20 Surely403 as a wife802 treacherously898 departs from her husband,1167 so3651 have you dealt treacherously898 with me, O house1004 of Israel,3478 said5002 the LORD.3068

21 A voice6963 was heard8085 on the high8205 places, weeping1065 and supplications8469 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 for they have perverted5753 their way,1870 and they have forgotten7911 the LORD3068 their God.430

22 Return,7725 you backsliding7726 children,1121 and I will heal7495 your backslidings.4878 Behold,2005 we come857 to you; for you are the LORD3068 our God.430

23 Truly403 in vain8267 is salvation hoped for from the hills,1389 and from the multitude1995 of mountains:2022 truly403 in the LORD3068 our God430 is the salvation8668 of Israel.3478

24 For shame1322 has devoured398 the labor3018 of our fathers1 from our youth;5271 their flocks6629 and their herds,1241 their sons1121 and their daughters.1323

25 We lie7901 down7901 in our shame,1322 and our confusion3639 covers3680 us: for we have sinned2398 against the LORD3068 our God,430 we and our fathers,1 from our youth5271 even to this2088 day,3117 and have not obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God.430

7 我見其所爲、欲其歸誠、惟彼不從、其與猶大族、親若姊妹、猶大族效尤、屢欺侮予。

7 And I said559 after310 she had done6213 all3605 these428 things, Turn7725 you to me. But she returned7725 not. And her treacherous901 sister269 Judah3063 saw7200 it.

8 以色列族旣背我、狥欲而行、我棄之、與以離書、其姊妹猶大族、屢欺侮予、毫無畏葸、狥欲而行、我鑒察之、彼狥欲特甚、崇拜木石、污衊斯邦、厥後佯爲歸誠、心不誠慤。〇

8 And I saw,7200 when3588 for all3605 the causes182 whereby834 backsliding4878 Israel3478 committed5003 adultery5003 I had put7971 her away, and given5414 her a bill5612 of divorce;3748 yet her treacherous898 sister269 Judah3063 feared3372 not, but went3212 and played the harlot2181 also.1571

15 民牧若得我心者、我必立之、使以智慧、治理爾曹。

15 And I will give5414 you pastors7462 according to my heart,3820 which shall feed7462 you with knowledge1844 and understanding.7919

16 耶和華曰、當斯之時、爾旣蕃衍於茲土、則我之約匱、可置之弗道、勿復貴重、毋庸憶念、不詣其所、不製其式、如昔所爲。

16 And it shall come1961 to pass, when3588 you be multiplied7235 and increased6509 in the land,776 in those1992 days,3117 said5002 the LORD,3068 they shall say559 no3808 more,5750 The ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD:3068 neither3808 shall it come5927 to mind:3820 neither3808 shall they remember2142 it; neither3808 shall they visit6485 it; neither3808 shall that be done6213 any more.5750

17 以耶路撒冷、爲我駐蹕之所、列邦之民必詣斯邑、尊崇我名、惡念不生、惡事弗作。

17 At that time6256 they shall call7121 Jerusalem3389 the throne3678 of the LORD;3068 and all3605 the nations1471 shall be gathered6960 to it, to the name8034 of the LORD,3068 to Jerusalem:3389 neither3808 shall they walk3212 any more5750 after310 the imagination8307 of their evil7451 heart.3820

18 斯時也、猶大家會以色列族偕行、來自北方、至我所予厥祖之地。

18 In those1992 days3117 the house1004 of Judah3063 shall walk3212 with the house1004 of Israel,3478 and they shall come935 together3162 out of the land776 of the north6828 to the land776 that I have given for an inheritance5157 to your fathers.1

19 予竊自思、安能以爲爾赤子、斯土膏腴、列國之民以爲佳業、焉能予爾。轉念曰、爾稱予爲父、無違逆予、則可。

21 爾曹背道、忘我耶和華、爾之上帝、今在童山、我聞哭聲、龥呼於上。

21 A voice6963 was heard8085 on the high8205 places, weeping1065 and supplications8469 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 for they have perverted5753 their way,1870 and they have forgotten7911 the LORD3068 their God.430

22 我曰、背逆之子、歸誠於我、我宥爾罪。民曰、爾耶和華乃我之上帝、今我詣爾之前。

22 Return,7725 you backsliding7726 children,1121 and I will heal7495 your backslidings.4878 Behold,2005 we come857 to you; for you are the LORD3068 our God.430

23 禱彼岡巒、俱爲徒勞、惟我上帝耶和華拯救以色列族。

23 Truly403 in vain8267 is salvation hoped for from the hills,1389 and from the multitude1995 of mountains:2022 truly403 in the LORD3068 our God430 is the salvation8668 of Israel.3478

24 自昔以來、我之列祖、竭勞而得、牛羊子女、悉爲可惡者、吞噬無遺。
