第14章

1 在迦南地、祭司以利亞撒嫩之子約書亞、曁以色列族長、予民爲業之地、臚列於左、

2 掣籤分地、與九支派、及支派之半、循耶和華諭摩西之命。

3 蓋摩西曾在約但東分地與二支派、及支派之半、惟不以土壤與利未人爲業。

4 約瑟子有二、馬拿西及以法蓮、各成支派故不以土壤與利未人爲業、惟予邑郊、以藏貨財、爲牧牲畜。

5 昔耶和華曾命摩西、今以色列族遵命而行、以分其地、

6 時猶大支派至吉甲有基尼洗人耶孚尼子迦勒告約書亞曰、昔耶和華諭其僕摩西、論爾我之事、爾知之矣。

7 其時我年四十、耶和華僕摩西自迦鐵巴尼亞遣我、窺察斯土、我誠心以復命。

8 偕行者使民喪膽、惟我竭忠遵從我上帝耶和華。

9 當時摩西誓我曰、爾旣竭忠遵從我上帝耶和華、爾足所覆之地、爾可得之、爰及子孫、永爲爾業。

10 今我尚存、皆出耶和華所賜、自耶和華諭摩西、歷以色列族遨遊於野之時、四十五年、踐其前言、今我年已八十有五。

11 我力強健、與摩西遣我之時無異、當時我出入戰鬬、氣盛力強、今亦如是。

12 爾素聞亞納族居於是山、其邑垣高大、今求爾以耶和華所許之山賜我、如蒙耶和華祐我、則可逐之、踐其前言。

13 約書亞爲耶孚尼子迦勒祝嘏、以希伯崙賜之爲業。

14 緣基尼洗人、耶孚尼子迦勒竭忠、遵從以色列族上帝耶和華、故得希伯崙爲業、至今尚存。

15 昔希伯崙名基列亞巴在亞納族中、亞巴尊大。嗣後息戰。

Chapter 14

1 And these428 are the countries which834 the children1121 of Israel3478 inherited5157 in the land776 of Canaan,3667 which834 Eleazar499 the priest,3548 and Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun,5126 and the heads7218 of the fathers1 of the tribes4294 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 distributed for inheritance5157 to them.

2 By lot1486 was their inheritance,5159 as834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 by the hand3027 of Moses,4872 for the nine8672 tribes,4294 and for the half2677 tribe.4294

3 For3588 Moses4872 had given5414 the inheritance5159 of two8147 tribes4294 and a half2677 tribe4294 on the other side4480 5676 Jordan:3383 but unto the Levites3881 he gave5414 none3808 inheritance5159 among8432 them.

4 For3588 the children1121 of Joseph3130 were1961 two8147 tribes,4294 Manasseh4519 and Ephraim:669 therefore they gave5414 no3808 part2506 unto the Levites3881 in the land,776 save3588 518 cities5892 to dwell3427 in, with their suburbs4054 for their cattle4735 and for their substance.7075

5 As834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 853 Moses,4872 so3651 the children1121 of Israel3478 did,6213 and they divided2505 853 the land.776

6 Then the children1121 of Judah3063 came5066 unto413 Joshua3091 in Gilgal:1537 and Caleb3612 the son1121 of Jephunneh3312 the Kenezite7074 said559 unto413 him, Thou859 knowest3045 853 the thing1697 that834 the LORD3068 said1696 unto413 Moses4872 the man376 of God430 concerning5921 182 me and thee in Kadesh-barnea.6947

7 Forty705 years8141 old1121 was I595 when Moses4872 the servant5650 of the LORD3068 sent7971 me from Kadesh-barnea4480 6947 to espy out7270 853 the land;776 and I brought7725 him word1697 again as834 it was in5973 mine heart.3824

8 Nevertheless my brethren251 that834 went up5927 with5973 me made853 the heart3820 of the people5971 melt:4529 but I595 wholly4390 followed310 the LORD3068 my God.430

9 And Moses4872 swore7650 on that1931 day,3117 saying,559 Surely518 3808 the land776 whereon834 thy feet7272 have trodden1869 shall be1961 thine inheritance,5159 and thy children's1121 forever,5704 5769 because3588 thou hast wholly4390 followed310 the LORD3068 my God.430

10 And now,6258 behold,2009 the LORD3068 hath kept me alive,2421 853 as834 he said,1696 these2088 forty705 and five2568 years,8141 even since4480 227 the LORD3068 spoke1696 853 this2088 word1697 unto413 Moses,4872 while834 the children of Israel3478 wandered1980 in the wilderness:4057 and now,6258 lo,2009 I595 am this day3117 fourscore8084 and five2568 years8141 old.1121

11 As yet5750 I am as strong2389 this day3117 as834 I was in the day3117 that Moses4872 sent7971 me: as my strength3581 was then,227 even so is my strength3581 now,6258 for war,4421 both to go out,3318 and to come in.935

12 Now6258 therefore give5414 me853 this2088 mountain,2022 whereof834 the LORD3068 spoke1696 in that1931 day;3117 for3588 thou859 heardest8085 in that1931 day3117 how3588 the Anakims6062 were there,8033 and that the cities5892 were great1419 and fenced:1219 if194 so be the LORD3068 will be with854 me, then I shall be able to drive them out,3423 as834 the LORD3068 said.1696

15 And the name8034 of Hebron2275 before6440 was Kirjath-arba;7153 which Arba was a great1419 man120 among the Anakims.6062 And the land776 had rest8252 from war.4480 4421
