第5章

1 當百姓擁擠耶穌，要聽神的道，耶穌在革尼撒勒湖邊站著［as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret］，

2 見［And saw］有兩隻船灣在湖邊；打魚的人卻離開船洗網去了。

3 有一隻船是西門的，耶穌就上去，請他把船撐開，稍微離岸。耶穌［he］就坐下，從船上教訓百姓［people］。

4 他［he］講完了，對西門說：「把船開到水深之處，下你們的［your］網打魚。」

5 西門回答［answering］他［him］說：「夫子，我們整夜勞力，並沒有打著甚麼；但依從你的話，我就下網。」

6 他們下了網，就圈住許多魚；他們的［their］網都裂開了［brake］。

7 他們［they］便示意［beckoned］那隻船上的同伴來幫助。他們就來，把魚裝滿了兩隻船，甚至船要沉下去。

8 西門．彼得看見這事［it］，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說：「主啊，離開我；我是個罪人。」

9 他和一切同在的人都驚訝這一網所打的魚。

10 西門［Simon］的夥伴西庇太的兒子雅各、約翰，也是這樣。耶穌對西門說：「不要怕；從今以後，你要得人了。」

11 他們將他們的船泊了［brought their ships］岸，就撇棄［forsook］所有的，跟從了耶穌。

12 有一回，耶穌在一個城裏，遇見［behold］有人滿身長了大痲瘋；那人看見耶穌［Jesus］，就臉［face］伏在地，求他說：「主啊［Lord］，你［thou］若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」

13 耶穌伸手摸他，說：「我肯；你潔淨了吧。」大痲瘋立刻就離了他的身。

14 耶穌囑咐他［him］切不可告訴人；只要去，把你的［thyself］身體給祭司察看，又要為你得了潔淨，照摩西所吩咐的獻上禮物，對眾人作證據。

15 但耶穌的名聲越發傳揚出去；有極多的人聚集來聽道，也指望他［him］醫治他們的病。

16 耶穌就［And］退到曠野去禱告。

17 有一天，耶穌正［as］教訓人的時侯［as］，有法利賽人和教法師在旁邊坐著，他們是從加利利各鄉村和猶太並耶路撒冷來的；有主的能力同在，醫治病人［the power of the Lord was present to heal them］。

18 忽然［behold］有人用褥子抬著一個癱子，想法子［sought means］要抬進去放在耶穌面前。

19 他們既［when they］因人多，尋不出法子抬他［him］進去，就上了房頂，從瓦間把他連榻［couch］縋到當中，正在耶穌面前。

20 耶穌見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「你這個人［Man］，你的罪饒恕［forgiven］了。」

21 文士和法利賽人就議論說：「這說僭妄話的是誰？除了神以外，誰能恕［forgive］罪呢？」

22 但［But］耶穌知道他們的意念［thoughts］，就回答［answering］他們［them］說：「你們心裏議論的是甚麼呢？

23 或說『你的罪饒恕［forgiven］了；』或說『你起來行走』，那一樣容易呢？

24 但要叫你們知道，人子在地上有恕［forgive］罪的權柄，」（他［he］對癱子說，）「我對你說［say unto thee］：『起來，拿你的榻［couch］回家去吧。』」

25 那人當眾人面前立刻起來，拿著他所躺臥的褥子回自己［own］家去，歸榮耀與神。

26 眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀與神，並且滿心懼怕，說：「我們今日看見非常的事了。」

27 這些［these］事以後，耶穌出去，看見一個稅吏，名叫利未，坐在稅關上；耶穌［he］就對他說：「你跟從我來。」

28 他就撇下所有的，起來，跟從了耶穌。

29 利未在自己家裏為耶穌大擺筵席；又［and］有一大幫［great company of］稅吏和別人與他們同坐［sat down with］。

30 他們的文士和法利賽人［their scribes and Phraisees］，卻［But］向耶穌的門徒發怨言說：「你們為甚麼和稅吏並罪人一同吃喝呢？」

31 耶穌回答［answering］他們說：「無病的人用不著醫生；有病的人才用得著。

32 我來本不是召義人悔改，乃是召罪人悔改。」

33 他們對他［unto him］說：「約翰的門徒屢次禁食祈禱，法利賽人的門徒也是這樣；唯獨你的門徒又吃又喝，這是為甚麼呢［why］？」

34 耶穌對他們說：「新郎和陪伴之人同在的時候，你們［ye］豈能叫陪伴之人禁食呢？

35 但日子將到，新郎要從他們中間被取去［shall be taken from them］，在那些日子［in those days］他們就要禁食了。」

36 耶穌又設一個比喻，對他們說：「沒有人把新衣服中的一塊補［putteth a piece］在舊衣服上；若是這樣，就把新的撕破了，所取出［taken out of］來的那塊新的和舊的也不相稱。

37 也沒有人把新酒裝在舊皮袋裏；若是這樣，新酒必將皮袋裂開，酒便漏出來，皮袋也就壞了。

38 但新酒必須裝在新皮袋裏；兩樣就都保全了［and both are preserved］。

39 也［also］沒有人喝了陳酒又立刻［straightway］想喝新的；他總說『陳的更好［better］。』」

Chapter 5

1 IT came to pass when the people gath ered around him to hear the word of God, he stood on the shore of the lake of Gennesaret.

2 And he saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had got out of them, and were washing their nets.

3 One of them belonged to Simon Peter; so Jesus went up and sat in it, and he asked to row it a little way from the shore to the water. And he sat and taught the people from the boat.

4 When he was through speaking, he said to Simon, Row out to the deep, and cast your net for a catch.

5 Simon answered and said to him, Teacher, we have toiled all night, and have caught nothing; but just because of your word, I will cast the net.

6 And when they had done this, they inclosed a great many fish; and their net was breaking.

7 So they signalled to their partners in the other boat, to come and help them. And when they came, they filled both the boats, till they were almost sinking.

8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell at the feet of Jesus, and said to him, I beg you, my Lord, leave me alone, for I am a sinful man.

9 For he was amazed, and all who were with him, because of the catch of fish which they took.

10 So also was it with James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. But Jesus said to Simon, Do not be afraid; from henceforth you will be catching men for life.

11 And they brought the boats to land, and left everything and followed him.

12 When Jesus was in one of the cities, there came a man who was covered with leprosy; and he saw Jesus and fell on his face, and besought him, and said, My Lord, if you will, you can cleanse me.

13 And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him, I will, be clean; and immediately his leprosy left him.

14 And he charged him not to tell any man; but go and show yourself to the priests, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

15 And the fame concerning him went out the more; and many people gathered to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases.

16 But he departed into the wilderness, and prayed.

17 It came to pass on one of the days when Jesus was teaching, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were sitting, who had come from every town of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem. And the power of God was present to heal them.

18 And some men brought a paralytic on a quilt-bed; and they wanted to go in and lay him before him.

19 And when they found they were not able to carry him in, because of many people, they went up on the roof, and they lowered him down on his quilt-bed from the ceiling into the midst before Jesus.

20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Man, your sins are forgiven.

21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason saying, Who is this man who talks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins, except God only?

22 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and he answered and said to them, What do you reason in your heart?

23 Which is easier to say, Your sins are forgiven, or just to say, Arise and walk?

24 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he said to the paralytic, I tell you, Arise, take up your quilt-bed and go to your home.

25 And immediately he rose up before their eyes, and took his quilt-bed and went to his house, praising God.

26 And every man was seized with amazement, and they praised God, and were filled with fear, saying, To-day we have seen wonders.

27 After these things, Jesus went out and saw a publican named Levi, sitting at the custom house; and he said to him, Follow me.

28 So he left everything, and rose up, and went after him.

29 And Levi gave him a great reception in his house; and there was a large gathering of publicans and others, who were guests with them.

30 And the scribes and the Pharisees murmured and said to his disciples, Why do you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

31 And Jesus answered and said to them, A physician is not needed for those who are well, but for those who are seriously sick.

32 I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.

33 They said to him, Why do the disciples of John always fast and pray, and also those of the Pharisees; but yours eat and drink?

34 He said to them, You cannot make the sons of the wedding feast fast, so long as the bridegroom is with them.

35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom is taken from them, then they will fast in those days.

36 And he told them a parable, No man cuts a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on a worn out garment; so that he may not cut the new, and the new piece will not blend with the old.

37 No man pours new wine into worn out skins; else the new wine will rend the skins, and the wine will run out, and the skins will be ruined.

38 But they pour new wine into new skins, and both are well preserved.

39 And no man drinks old wine, and immediately wants new wine; for he says, The old is delicious.

1 當百姓擁擠耶穌，要聽神的道，耶穌在革尼撒勒湖邊站著［as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret］，	1 IT came to pass when the people gath ered around him to hear the word of God, he stood on the shore of the lake of Gennesaret.
2 見［And saw］有兩隻船灣在湖邊；打魚的人卻離開船洗網去了。	2 And he saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had got out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 有一隻船是西門的，耶穌就上去，請他把船撐開，稍微離岸。耶穌［he］就坐下，從船上教訓百姓［people］。	3 One of them belonged to Simon Peter; so Jesus went up and sat in it, and he asked to row it a little way from the shore to the water. And he sat and taught the people from the boat.
4 他［he］講完了，對西門說：「把船開到水深之處，下你們的［your］網打魚。」	4 When he was through speaking, he said to Simon, Row out to the deep, and cast your net for a catch.
5 西門回答［answering］他［him］說：「夫子，我們整夜勞力，並沒有打著甚麼；但依從你的話，我就下網。」	5 Simon answered and said to him, Teacher, we have toiled all night, and have caught nothing; but just because of your word, I will cast the net.
6 他們下了網，就圈住許多魚；他們的［their］網都裂開了［brake］。	6 And when they had done this, they inclosed a great many fish; and their net was breaking.
7 他們［they］便示意［beckoned］那隻船上的同伴來幫助。他們就來，把魚裝滿了兩隻船，甚至船要沉下去。	7 So they signalled to their partners in the other boat, to come and help them. And when they came, they filled both the boats, till they were almost sinking.
8 西門．彼得看見這事［it］，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說：「主啊，離開我；我是個罪人。」	8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell at the feet of Jesus, and said to him, I beg you, my Lord, leave me alone, for I am a sinful man.
9 他和一切同在的人都驚訝這一網所打的魚。	9 For he was amazed, and all who were with him, because of the catch of fish which they took.
10 西門［Simon］的夥伴西庇太的兒子雅各、約翰，也是這樣。耶穌對西門說：「不要怕；從今以後，你要得人了。」	10 So also was it with James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. But Jesus said to Simon, Do not be afraid; from henceforth you will be catching men for life.
11 他們將他們的船泊了［brought their ships］岸，就撇棄［forsook］所有的，跟從了耶穌。	11 And they brought the boats to land, and left everything and followed him.
12 有一回，耶穌在一個城裏，遇見［behold］有人滿身長了大痲瘋；那人看見耶穌［Jesus］，就臉［face］伏在地，求他說：「主啊［Lord］，你［thou］若肯，必能叫我潔淨了。」	12 When Jesus was in one of the cities, there came a man who was covered with leprosy; and he saw Jesus and fell on his face, and besought him, and said, My Lord, if you will, you can cleanse me.
13 耶穌伸手摸他，說：「我肯；你潔淨了吧。」大痲瘋立刻就離了他的身。	13 And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him, I will, be clean; and immediately his leprosy left him.
14 耶穌囑咐他［him］切不可告訴人；只要去，把你的［thyself］身體給祭司察看，又要為你得了潔淨，照摩西所吩咐的獻上禮物，對眾人作證據。	14 And he charged him not to tell any man; but go and show yourself to the priests, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

And the power of God was present to heal them.
18 忽然［behold］有人用褥子抬著一個癱子，想法子［sought means］要抬進去放在耶穌面前。	18 And some men brought a paralytic on a quilt-bed; and they wanted to go in and lay him before him.
19 他們既［when they］因人多，尋不出法子抬他［him］進去，就上了房頂，從瓦間把他連榻［couch］縋到當中，正在耶穌面前。	19 And when they found they were not able to carry him in, because of many people, they went up on the roof, and they lowered him down on his quilt-bed from the ceiling into the midst before Jesus.
20 耶穌見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「你這個人［Man］，你的罪饒恕［forgiven］了。」	20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Man, your sins are forgiven.

38 但新酒必須裝在新皮袋裏；兩樣就都保全了［and both are preserved］。	38 But they pour new wine into new skins, and both are well preserved.
39 也［also］沒有人喝了陳酒又立刻［straightway］想喝新的；他總說『陳的更好［better］。』」	39 And no man drinks old wine, and immediately wants new wine; for he says, The old is delicious.
