Psalm 59

1 To the chief5329 Musician,5329 Altaschith,516 Michtam4387 of David;1732 when Saul7586 sent,7971 and they watched8104 the house1004 to kill4191 him. Deliver5337 me from my enemies,341 O my God:430 defend7682 me from them that rise6965 up against me.

2 Deliver5337 me from the workers6466 of iniquity,205 and save3467 me from bloody1818 men.582

3 For, see,2009 they lie in wait693 for my soul:5315 the mighty5794 are gathered1481 against5921 me; not for my transgression,6588 nor3808 for my sin,2403 O LORD.3068

4 They run7323 and prepare3559 themselves without1097 my fault:5771 awake5782 to help7125 me, and behold.7200

5 You therefore, O LORD3068 God430 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 awake6974 to visit6485 all3605 the heathen:1471 be not merciful2603 to any3605 wicked205 transgressors.898 Selah.5542

6 They return7725 at evening:6153 they make a noise1993 like a dog,3611 and go5437 round5437 about the city.5892

7 Behold,2009 they belch5042 out with their mouth:6310 swords2719 are in their lips:8193 for who,4310 say they, does hear?8085

8 But you, O LORD,3068 shall laugh7832 at them; you shall have all3605 the heathen1471 in derision.3932

9 Because of his strength5797 will I wait8104 on you: for God430 is my defense.4869

10 The God430 of my mercy2617 shall prevent6923 me: God430 shall let me see7200 my desire on my enemies.8324

1 （掃羅打發人窺探大衛的房屋，要殺他。那時，大衛作這金詩，交與伶長。用休要毀壞調。）我的神啊，求你救我脫離仇敵，保護我［defend me］，得脫那些起來攻擊我的人。

2 求你救我脫離作孽的人和喜愛流人血的人。

3 看哪［lo］，因為他們埋伏要害我的命；有能力的人聚集來攻擊我。耶和華啊，這不是為我的過犯，也不是為我的罪愆。

4 我雖然無過，他們預備整齊，跑來攻擊我。求你醒來幫助，鑒察我［awake to help me, and behold］。

5 大軍之神耶和華─以色列的神啊，求你醒起［awake］，懲治一切異教的民［all the heathen］。不要憐憫行惡犯罪的人［wicked transgressors］。細拉。

6 他們晚上轉回，叫號如狗，圍城繞行。

7 看哪［Behold］，他們口中噴吐惡言，嘴裏有刀；他們說：有誰聽見？

8 但你─耶和華啊［O］，你必笑話他們；你要嗤笑一切異教之民［all the heathen］。

9 因他［Because of his］的力量，我必仰望你，因為神是我的保障［defence］。

10 我的神要以慈愛迎接我；神要叫我看見我仇敵遭報。

11 不要殺他們，恐怕我的民忘記。主啊，你是我們的盾牌；求你用你的能力使他們四散，且降為卑。

12 因他們口中的罪和嘴裏的言語，並咒罵虛謊的話，願他們在驕傲之中被纏住了。

13 求你在怒中消滅、消滅他們［Consume them in wrath, consume them］，使他們［that they］歸於無有，叫他們知道神在雅各中間掌權，直到地極。細拉。

14 到了晚上，任憑他們轉回；任憑他們叫號如狗，圍城繞行。

15 他們必上去下來［wander up and down］，尋找食物，若不得飽就懷怨抱恨［grudge］。

16 但我要歌頌你的力量，早晨要高唱你的慈愛；因為你作過我的保障［defence］，在我急難的日子作過我的避難所。
