Psalm 27

1 A Psalm of David.1732 The LORD3068 is my light216 and my salvation;3468 whom4310 shall I fear?3372 the LORD3068 is the strength4581 of my life;2416 of whom4310 shall I be afraid?6342

2 When the wicked,7489 even my enemies6862 and my foes,341 came7126 on me to eat398 up my flesh,1320 they stumbled3782 and fell.5307

3 Though518 an host4264 should encamp2583 against5921 me, my heart3820 shall not fear:3372 though518 war4421 should rise6965 against5921 me, in this2063 will I be confident.982

4 One259 thing have I desired7592 of the LORD,3068 that will I seek1245 after; that I may dwell3427 in the house1004 of the LORD3068 all3605 the days3117 of my life,2416 to behold2372 the beauty5278 of the LORD,3068 and to inquire1239 in his temple.1964

5 For in the time3117 of trouble7451 he shall hide6845 me in his pavilion:5520 in the secret5643 of his tabernacle168 shall he hide5641 me; he shall set7311 me up on a rock.6697

6 And now6258 shall my head7218 be lifted7311 up above5921 my enemies341 round5439 about me: therefore will I offer2076 in his tabernacle168 sacrifices2077 of joy;8643 I will sing,7891 yes, I will sing2167 praises to the LORD.3068

7 Hear,8085 O LORD,3068 when I cry7121 with my voice:6963 have mercy2603 also on me, and answer6030 me.

8 When you said,559 Seek1245 you my face;6440 my heart3820 said559 to you, Your face,6440 LORD,3068 will I seek.1245

9 Hide5641 not your face6440 far from me; put5186 not your servant5650 away5186 in anger:639 you have been1961 my help;5833 leave5203 me not, neither408 forsake5800 me, O God430 of my salvation.3468

10 When3588 my father1 and my mother517 forsake5800 me, then the LORD3068 will take622 me up.

11 Teach3384 me your way,1870 O LORD,3068 and lead5148 me in a plain4334 path,734 because4616 of my enemies.8324

12 Deliver5414 me not over to the will5315 of my enemies:6862 for false8267 witnesses5707 are risen6965 up against me, and such as breathe3307 out cruelty.2555

13 I had fainted, unless3884 I had believed539 to see7200 the goodness2898 of the LORD3068 in the land776 of the living.2416

14 Wait6960 on the LORD:3068 be of good courage,2388 and he shall strengthen553 your heart:3820 wait,6960 I say, on the LORD.3068

Psalm 27

1 THE LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When evildoers came upon me to devour me, even my enemies and those who hate me, they together stumbled and fell.

3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the delight of the LORD, and to be in charge of his temple.

5 For in the day of trouble he shall hide me in his shelter; in the shadow of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall my head he lifted up above my enemies round about me; therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises to the LORD.

7 Hear, O LORD, my voice when I call upon thee; have mercy also upon me and answer me.

8 My heart said unto thee, Let my face seek thy face.

9 Turn not away thy face from me, O LORD; trouble not thy servant in anger; thou hast been my help, O LORD; east me not out, neither leave me, O my God and my Saviour.

10 Although my father and my mother have deserted me, the LORD has taken me up.

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in thy right paths.

12 Deliver me not over into the hands of my enemies; for false witnesses are risen up against me and have spoken cruelly.

13 But I have believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

14 Trust in the LORD, and be of good courage; yea, trust in the LORD.
