3 Возложи на Иегову дела свои; и помышления твои установятся.

4 Иегова сделал все так, чтобы одно другому соответствовало, и беззаконника даже - на бедственный день.

5 Противен Иегове всякий надменный сердцем; рано или поздно он не останется без наказания.

6 Милостию и истиною вина изглаждается; и в страхе Иеговы средство удаляться от зла.

7 Когда Иегова благоволит к путям человека, тогда и врагов его примиряет с ним.

8 Лучше немногое с правдою, нежели множество прибытков в несправедливости.

9 Сердце человека обдумывает дорогу его, но шествием его управляет Иегова.

10 На устах царя пророческое изречение, на суде не должны погрешать уста его.

11 Вес и весовые чаши правильные - от Иеговы; все гири в суме - Его же дело.

12 Мерзость для царей беззаконное дело, потому что правдою тверд престол.

13 Уста правдивые приятны царю, и кто говорит истину, того он любит.

14 Гнев царев есть вестник смерти, но мудрый человек умирит его.

15 В светлом взгляде царя - жизнь; и благоволение его как облако с весенним дождем.

16 Иметь премудрость несравненно лучше, нежели золото; и иметь разум приятнее, нежели серебро.

17 Путь добрых есть удаление от зла; тот хранит душу свою, кто хранит путь свой.

18 Падению предтеча гордость; и преткновению предтеча надмение духа.

19 Лучше в смирении духа жить наравне с бедными, нежели делить добычу с гордыми.

20 Кто внимание приложит к слову, тот найдет благо; и кто надеется на Иегову, тому блаженство.

21 Кто мудр сердцем, того и звать будут умным; и от сладости уст приемлется больше учения.

22 Благоразумие для имеющих его есть источник жизни; а учение глупых есть глупость.

23 Сердце мудрого делает умным и язык его, и в устах его умножает учение.

24 Приятная речь есть сотовый мед, сладость душе и врачевство костям.

25 Иная дорога кажется человеку прямою, но конец ее суть пути смерти.

26 Душа трудящегося трудится для него, потому что рот его побуждает его к тому.

27 Человек негодный роет беду, и на устах его как бы жгущий огонь.

28 Человек коварный плодит раздоры; и ябедник разлучает друзей.

29 Человек злой обольстит ближнего своего, и заведет его на дорогу недобрую;

30 Жмурит глаза свои, замышляя ковы, закусывает губы себе, совершив зло.

31 Седина есть венец красоты, он обретается на пути правды.

32 Кто укрощает гнев, тот лучше храброго, и владеющий духом своим лучше завоевателя городов.
