Chapter 8

1 Again the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 came1961 to me, saying,559

2 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 I was jealous7065 for Zion6726 with great1419 jealousy,7068 and I was jealous7065 for her with great1419 fury.2534

3 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 I am returned7725 unto413 Zion,6726 and will dwell7931 in the midst8432 of Jerusalem:3389 and Jerusalem3389 shall be called7121 a city5892 of truth;571 and the mountain2022 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 the holy6944 mountain.2022

4 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 There shall yet5750 old men2205 and old women2205 dwell3427 in the streets7339 of Jerusalem,3389 and every man376 with his staff4938 in his hand3027 for very4480 7230 age.3117

5 And the streets7339 of the city5892 shall be full4390 of boys3206 and girls3207 playing7832 in the streets7339 thereof.

6 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 If3588 it be marvelous6381 in the eyes5869 of the remnant7611 of this2088 people5971 in these1992 days,3117 should it also1571 be marvelous6381 in mine eyes?5869 saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

7 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Behold,2009 I will save3467 853 my people5971 from the east4217 country,4480 776 and from the west3996 8121 country;4480 776

8 And I will bring935 them, and they shall dwell7931 in the midst8432 of Jerusalem:3389 and they shall be1961 my people,5971 and I589 will be1961 their God,430 in truth571 and in righteousness.6666

9 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Let your hands3027 be strong,2388 ye that hear8085 in these428 days3117 853 these428 words1697 by the mouth4480 6310 of the prophets,5030 which834 were in the day3117 that the foundation of the house1004 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 was laid,3245 that the temple1964 might be built.1129

10 For3588 before6440 these1992 days3117 there was1961 no3808 hire7939 for man,120 nor369 any hire7939 for beast;929 neither369 was there any peace7965 to him that went out3318 or came in935 because of4480 the affliction:6862 for I set7971 853 all3605 men120 every one376 against his neighbor.7453

11 But now6258 I589 will not3808 be unto the residue7611 of this2088 people5971 as in the former7223 days,3117 saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

12 For3588 the seed2233 shall be prosperous;7965 the vine1612 shall give5414 her fruit,6529 and the ground776 shall give5414 853 her increase,2981 and the heavens8064 shall give5414 their dew;2919 and I will cause853 the remnant7611 of this2088 people5971 to possess5157 853 all3605 these428 things.

13 And it shall come to pass,1961 that as834 ye were1961 a curse7045 among the heathen,1471 O house1004 of Judah,3063 and house1004 of Israel;3478 so3651 will I save3467 you, and ye shall be1961 a blessing:1293 fear3372 not,408 but let your hands3027 be strong.2388

14 For3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 As834 I thought2161 to punish7489 you, when your fathers1 provoked me to wrath,7107 853 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 and I repented5162 not: 3808

15 So3651 again7725 have I thought2161 in these428 days3117 to do well3190 unto853 Jerusalem3389 and to the house1004 of Judah:3063 fear3372 ye not.408

16 These428 are the things1697 that834 ye shall do;6213 Speak1696 ye every man376 the truth571 to854 his neighbor;7453 execute8199 the judgment4941 of truth571 and peace7965 in your gates: 8179

17 And let none408 376 of you imagine2803 853 evil7451 in your hearts3824 against his neighbor;7453 and love157 no408 false8267 oath:7621 for3588 853 all3605 these428 are things that834 I hate,8130 saith5002 the LORD.3068

18 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559

19 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 The fast6685 of the fourth7243 month, and the fast6685 of the fifth,2549 and the fast6685 of the seventh,7637 and the fast6685 of the tenth,6224 shall be1961 to the house1004 of Judah3063 joy8342 and gladness,8057 and cheerful2896 feasts;4150 therefore love157 the truth571 and peace.7965

20 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 It shall yet5750 come to pass, that834 there shall come935 people,5971 and the inhabitants3427 of many7227 cities: 5892

21 And the inhabitants3427 of one259 city shall go1980 to413 another,259 saying,559 Let us go speedily1980 1980 to pray2470 853 before6440 the LORD,3068 and to seek1245 853 the LORD3068 of hosts:6635 I589 will go1980 also.1571

22 Yea, many7227 people5971 and strong6099 nations1471 shall come935 to seek1245 853 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 in Jerusalem,3389 and to pray2470 853 before6440 the LORD.3068

23 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 In those1992 days3117 it shall come to pass, that834 ten6235 men376 shall take hold2388 out of all4480 3605 languages3956 of the nations,1471 even shall take hold2388 of the skirt3671 of him376 that is a Jew,3064 saying,559 We will go1980 with5973 you: for3588 we have heard8085 that God430 is with5973 you.

1 大軍之耶和華的話再［Again］臨到我說：

2 「大軍之耶和華如此說：我曾［was］為錫安心裏極其火熱，我大發烈怒［with great fury］為她火熱。

3 耶和華如此說：我現在回到錫安，要住在耶路撒冷中。耶路撒冷必稱為誠實的城；大軍之耶和華的山必稱為聖山。

4 大軍之耶和華如此說：將來必仍［yet］有年老的男女住［dwell］在耶路撒冷街上，因為年紀老邁就手拿柺杖。

5 城中街上必滿有男孩女孩玩耍。

6 大軍之耶和華如此說：在這些日子［in these days］，這事在餘剩的民眼中看為希奇，在我眼中也看為希奇嗎？這是大軍之耶和華說的。

7 大軍之耶和華如此說：看哪［Behold］，我要從東方從西方救回我的民；

8 我要領他們來，使他們住在耶路撒冷中。他們要作我的子民，我要作他們的神，都憑誠實和公義。」

9 大軍之耶和華如此說：「當建造大軍之耶和華的殿，立根基之日的先知所說的話，你們［ye］在這些日子［in these days］聽見，應當手裏強壯。

10 這些日子［these days］以先，人得不著雇價，牲畜也是如此；且因苦難［affliction］的緣故，出入之人不得平安。乃因我使眾人跟鄰居［neighbour］互相攻擊。

11 但如今，我待這餘剩的民必不像從前。這是大軍之耶和華說的。

12 因為撒種必致順利［seed shall be prosperous］；葡萄樹必結果子，地土必有出產，諸天［heavens］必降甘露；我要使這餘剩的民享受這一切的福。

13 猶大家和以色列家啊，你們從前在異教民［heathen］中怎樣成為可咒詛的；照樣，我要拯救你們，使你們叫人得福［shall be a blessing］。你們不要懼怕，手要強壯。」

14 大軍之耶和華如此說：「你們列祖惹我發怒的時候，我怎樣定意罰辦你們［punish you］，大軍之耶和華說［saith the LORD of hosts］，我［I］並不後悔；

15 現在我照樣定意施恩與耶路撒冷和猶大家；你們不要懼怕。

16 你們所當行的是這樣：各人與鄰居說話誠實；在城門口按至理判斷，使人和睦。

17 你們［you］誰都不可心裏謀害鄰居；也不可喜愛起假誓。因為這些事都為我所恨惡，這是耶和華說的。」

18 大軍之耶和華的話臨到我說：

19 「大軍之耶和華如此說：四月、五月禁食的日子，七月、十月禁食的日子，必變為猶大家歡喜快樂的日子和歡樂的節期；所以你們要喜愛真理［the truth］與和平。」

20 大軍之耶和華如此說：「將來必有列國的人和多城的居民來到；

21 這城的居民必到那城，說：『我們要快去在耶和華面前祈禱［pray before the LORD］，尋求大軍之耶和華；我也要去。』

22 必有多民並強盛的國［many people and strong nations］來到耶路撒冷尋求大軍之耶和華，並在耶和華面前祈禱［and to pray before the LORD］。

23 大軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，必有十個人從列國方言［languages］中出來，拉住一個猶太人的衣襟，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見神與你們同在了。』」

1 Again the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 came1961 to me, saying,559

1 大軍之耶和華的話再［Again］臨到我說：

2 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 I was jealous7065 for Zion6726 with great1419 jealousy,7068 and I was jealous7065 for her with great1419 fury.2534

4 大軍之耶和華如此說：將來必仍［yet］有年老的男女住［dwell］在耶路撒冷街上，因為年紀老邁就手拿柺杖。

5 And the streets7339 of the city5892 shall be full4390 of boys3206 and girls3207 playing7832 in the streets7339 thereof.

5 城中街上必滿有男孩女孩玩耍。

6 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 If3588 it be marvelous6381 in the eyes5869 of the remnant7611 of this2088 people5971 in these1992 days,3117 should it also1571 be marvelous6381 in mine eyes?5869 saith5002 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

6 大軍之耶和華如此說：在這些日子［in these days］，這事在餘剩的民眼中看為希奇，在我眼中也看為希奇嗎？這是大軍之耶和華說的。

7 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Behold,2009 I will save3467 853 my people5971 from the east4217 country,4480 776 and from the west3996 8121 country;4480 776

7 大軍之耶和華如此說：看哪［Behold］，我要從東方從西方救回我的民；

8 And I will bring935 them, and they shall dwell7931 in the midst8432 of Jerusalem:3389 and they shall be1961 my people,5971 and I589 will be1961 their God,430 in truth571 and in righteousness.6666

8 我要領他們來，使他們住在耶路撒冷中。他們要作我的子民，我要作他們的神，都憑誠實和公義。」

10 這些日子［these days］以先，人得不著雇價，牲畜也是如此；且因苦難［affliction］的緣故，出入之人不得平安。乃因我使眾人跟鄰居［neighbour］互相攻擊。

13 猶大家和以色列家啊，你們從前在異教民［heathen］中怎樣成為可咒詛的；照樣，我要拯救你們，使你們叫人得福［shall be a blessing］。你們不要懼怕，手要強壯。」

14 大軍之耶和華如此說：「你們列祖惹我發怒的時候，我怎樣定意罰辦你們［punish you］，大軍之耶和華說［saith the LORD of hosts］，我［I］並不後悔；

15 So3651 again7725 have I thought2161 in these428 days3117 to do well3190 unto853 Jerusalem3389 and to the house1004 of Judah:3063 fear3372 ye not.408

15 現在我照樣定意施恩與耶路撒冷和猶大家；你們不要懼怕。

16 These428 are the things1697 that834 ye shall do;6213 Speak1696 ye every man376 the truth571 to854 his neighbor;7453 execute8199 the judgment4941 of truth571 and peace7965 in your gates: 8179

16 你們所當行的是這樣：各人與鄰居說話誠實；在城門口按至理判斷，使人和睦。

17 你們［you］誰都不可心裏謀害鄰居；也不可喜愛起假誓。因為這些事都為我所恨惡，這是耶和華說的。」

18 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts6635 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559

18 大軍之耶和華的話臨到我說：

21 這城的居民必到那城，說：『我們要快去在耶和華面前祈禱［pray before the LORD］，尋求大軍之耶和華；我也要去。』

22 Yea, many7227 people5971 and strong6099 nations1471 shall come935 to seek1245 853 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 in Jerusalem,3389 and to pray2470 853 before6440 the LORD.3068

22 必有多民並強盛的國［many people and strong nations］來到耶路撒冷尋求大軍之耶和華，並在耶和華面前祈禱［and to pray before the LORD］。

23 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 In those1992 days3117 it shall come to pass, that834 ten6235 men376 shall take hold2388 out of all4480 3605 languages3956 of the nations,1471 even shall take hold2388 of the skirt3671 of him376 that is a Jew,3064 saying,559 We will go1980 with5973 you: for3588 we have heard8085 that God430 is with5973 you.

23 大軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，必有十個人從列國方言［languages］中出來，拉住一個猶太人的衣襟，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見神與你們同在了。』」
