1 When3588 the LORD3068 thy God430 shall bring935 thee into413 the land776 whither834 8033 thou859 goest935 to possess3423 it, and hath cast out5394 many7227 nations1471 before4480 6440 thee, the Hittites,2850 and the Girgashites,1622 and the Amorites,567 and the Canaanites,3669 and the Perizzites,6522 and the Hivites,2340 and the Jebusites,2983 seven7651 nations1471 greater7227 and mightier6099 than4480 thou;

2 And when the LORD3068 thy God430 shall deliver5414 them before6440 thee; thou shalt smite5221 them, and utterly destroy2763 2763 them; thou shalt make3772 no3808 covenant1285 with them, nor3808 show mercy2603 unto them:

3 Neither3808 shalt thou make marriages2859 with them; thy daughter1323 thou shalt not3808 give5414 unto his son,1121 nor3808 his daughter1323 shalt thou take3947 unto thy son.1121

4 For3588 they will turn away5493 853 thy son1121 from following4480 310 me, that they may serve5647 other312 gods:430 so will the anger639 of the LORD3068 be kindled2734 against you, and destroy8045 thee suddenly.4118

5 But3588 518 thus3541 shall ye deal6213 with them; ye shall destroy5422 their altars,4196 and break down7665 their images,4676 and cut down1438 their groves,842 and burn8313 their graven images6456 with fire.784

6 For3588 thou859 art a holy6918 people5971 unto the LORD3068 thy God:430 the LORD3068 thy God430 hath chosen977 thee to be1961 a special5459 people5971 unto himself, above all4480 3605 people5971 that834 are upon5921 the face6440 of the earth.127

7 The LORD3068 did not3808 set his love2836 upon you, nor choose977 you, because ye were more in number4480 7230 than any4480 3605 people;5971 for3588 ye859 were the fewest4592 of all4480 3605 people: 5971

8 But3588 because the LORD3068 loved4480 160 you, and because he would keep4480 8104 853 the oath7621 which834 he had sworn7650 unto your fathers,1 hath the LORD3068 brought you out3318 853 with a mighty2389 hand,3027 and redeemed6299 you out of the house4480 1004 of bondmen,5650 from the hand4480 3027 of Pharaoh6547 king4428 of Egypt.4714

9 Know3045 therefore that3588 the LORD3068 thy God,430 he1931 is God,430 the faithful539 God,410 which keepeth8104 covenant1285 and mercy2617 with them that love157 him and keep8104 his commandments4687 to a thousand505 generations;1755

10 And repayeth7999 them that hate8130 him to413 their face,6440 to destroy6 them: he will not3808 be slack309 to him that hateth8130 him, he will repay7999 him to413 his face.6440

11 Thou shalt therefore keep8104 853 the commandments,4687 and the statutes,2706 and the judgments,4941 which834 I595 command6680 thee this day,3117 to do6213 them.

12 Wherefore it shall come to pass,1961 if6118 ye hearken8085 853 to these428 judgments,4941 and keep,8104 and do6213 them, that the LORD3068 thy God430 shall keep8104 unto thee853 the covenant1285 and the mercy2617 which834 he swore7650 unto thy fathers: 1

14 Thou shalt be1961 blessed1288 above all4480 3605 people:5971 there shall not3808 be1961 male6135 or female barren6135 among you, or among your cattle.929

15 And the LORD3068 will take away5493 from4480 thee all3605 sickness,2483 and will put7760 none3605 3808 of the evil7451 diseases4064 of Egypt,4714 which834 thou knowest,3045 upon thee; but will lay5414 them upon all3605 them that hate130 thee.

16 And thou shalt consume398 853 all3605 the people5971 which834 the LORD3068 thy God430 shall deliver5414 thee; thine eye5869 shall have no pity2347 3808 upon5921 them: neither3808 shalt thou serve5647 853 their gods;430 for3588 that1931 will be a snare4170 unto thee.

17 If3588 thou shalt say559 in thine heart,3824 These428 nations1471 are more7227 than4480 I; how349 can3201 I dispossess3423 them?

18 Thou shalt not3808 be afraid3372 of4480 them: but shalt well remember2142 2142 853 what834 the LORD3068 thy God430 did6213 unto Pharaoh,6547 and unto all3605 Egypt;4714

19 The great1419 temptations4531 which834 thine eyes5869 saw,7200 and the signs,226 and the wonders,4159 and the mighty2389 hand,3027 and the stretched out5186 arm,2220 whereby834 the LORD3068 thy God430 brought thee out:3318 so3651 shall the LORD3068 thy God430 do6213 unto all3605 the people5971 of whom834 thou859 art afraid.3372 4480 6440

20 Moreover1571 the LORD3068 thy God430 will send7971 853 the hornet6880 among them, until5704 they that are left,7604 and hide themselves5641 from4480 6440 thee, be destroyed.6

21 Thou shalt not3808 be frightened6206 at4480 6440 them: for3588 the LORD3068 thy God430 is among7130 you, a mighty1419 God410 and terrible.3372

22 And the LORD3068 thy God430 will put out5394 853 those411 nations1471 before4480 6440 thee by little4592 and little:4592 thou mayest3201 not3808 consume3615 them at once,4118 lest6435 the beasts2416 of the field7704 increase7235 upon5921 thee.

23 But the LORD3068 thy God430 shall deliver5414 them unto6440 thee, and shall destroy1949 them with a mighty1419 destruction,4103 until5704 they be destroyed.8045

25 The graven images6456 of their gods430 shall ye burn8313 with fire:784 thou shalt not3808 desire2530 the silver3701 or gold2091 that is on5921 them, nor take3947 it unto thee, lest6435 thou be snared3369 therein: for3588 it1931 is an abomination8441 to the LORD3068 thy God.430

26 Neither3808 shalt thou bring935 an abomination8441 into413 thine house,1004 lest thou be1961 a cursed thing2764 like it:3644 but thou shalt utterly detest8262 8262 it, and thou shalt utterly abhor8581 8581 it; for3588 it1931 is a cursed thing.2764

1 WHEN the LORD your God shall bring you into the land which you are entering to possess, and has destroyed many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgasites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than yourselves;

2 And when the LORD your God shall deliver them before you, and you shall defeat them; then you shall utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them;

3 Neither shall you make marriages with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons,

4 That they may not turn away your sons from following me, and serve other gods; and then the anger of the LORD would kindle against you and destroy you quickly.

5 But thus shall you deal with them: you shall destroy their altars and break down their statues and cut down their ornaments and burn their graven images with fire.

6 For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a beloved people to himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 It was not because you were more in number than any other peoples that the LORD was delighted in you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples;

8 But it was because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oaths which he had sworn to your fathers, that the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and delivered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt,

9 That you may know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

10 And repays those that hate him during their lifetime; he requites them that he may destroy them; he shall not be slack to those that hate him, but he repays them during their lifetime.

11 You shall therefore keep the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which I command you this day, and do them.

12 Wherefore if you hearken to these judgments, and keep them and do them, the LORD your God shall keep with you the covenant and the mercy which he swore to your fathers;

13 And he will love you and bless you and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.

14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle.

15 And the LORD will take away from you all sickness; and all evil diseases of the Egyptians, which you know, he will not bring upon you; but will bring them upon your enemies.

16 And you shall consume all the peoples that the LORD your God shall deliver to you; your eye shall have no pity upon them; neither shall you serve their gods; for they are a snare to you.

17 If you shall say in your heart, These nations are greater than I; how will I be able to destroy them?

18 You shall not be afraid of them; but you shall remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt;

19 The great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, the wonders, the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, whereby the LORD your God brought you out; so shall the LORD your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.

20 Moreover the LORD your God will send raiders among them, until they that are left and hide themselves from you, are destroyed.

21 You shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is among you, a great and terrible God.

22 And the LORD your God will destroy those nations from before you little by little; you will not be able to destroy them quickly, lest the wild beasts increase upon you.

23 But the LORD your God shall deliver them to you, and shall smite them with a great destruction, until they are destroyed.

24 And he shall deliver their kings into your hands, and you shall destroy their name from under heaven; there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.

25 The graven images of their gods you shall burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you become unclean with it; for it is an abomination before the LORD your God.

26 Neither shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be a cursed thing like it; but you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

10 And repays those that hate him during their lifetime; he requites them that he may destroy them; he shall not be slack to those that hate him, but he repays them during their lifetime.
