Luke

Chapter 7

1 WHEN he had finished all of these words, in the hearing of the people, Jesus entered Capernaum.

2 Now the servant of a centurion was seriously sick, one who was very dear to him; and he was near death.

3 And when he heard about Jesus, he sent to him Jewish elders, and besought him to come and heal his servant.

4 When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, He is worthy to have this done for him;

5 For he loves our people, and has even built us a synagogue.

6 Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent some of his friends to him, and said, My Lord, do not trouble yourself; for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof;

7 That is why I was not worthy to come to you; but just say a word and my boy will be healed.

8 For I am also a man in government service, and there are soldiers under my command; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

9 When Jesus heard these things, he was amazed at him, and he turned and said to the people who followed him, I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such faith as this.

10 So those who were sent returned to the house, and found the servant who was sick, healed.

11 And it came to pass on the next day, he was going to a city called Nain; and his disciples were with him, and many people.

12 And when they came near the gate of the city, he saw a dead man being carried out, who was the only son of his mother, and his mother was a widow; and many people of the city were with her.

13 When Jesus saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not.

14 Then he went and touched the bier, and those who carried it stood still. And he said, Young man, I tell you, Arise.

15 And the dead man sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.

16 And all men were seized with fear; and they praised God, saying, A great prophet is risen among us; and, God has visited his people.

17 And this word about him went out through all Judaea, and through the country around them.

18 And John's disciples told him all these things.

19 So John called two of his disciples, and sent them to Jesus, and said, Are you the one who is to come? or are we to expect another one?

20 And they came to Jesus and said to him, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, Are you the one who is to come? or are we to expect another one?

21 In that very hour, he healed a great many of their diseases and plagues, and of evil spirits; and he gave sight to many blind men.

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John everything that you have seen and heard; that the blind see, and the lame walk, and the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead rise up, and the poor are given hope.

23 And blessed is he, who does not stumble on account of me.

24 When John's disciples had gone, Jesus began to speak to the people concerning John, What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed which is shaken by the wind?

25 If not so, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Behold, those who wear fine clothes and live delicately are in kings' houses.

26 And if not so, what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

27 This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, to prepare the way before you.

28 I say to you that there is no prophet among those who are born of women, who is greater than John the Baptist; and yet even the least person in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

29 And all the people who heard it, even the publicans, justified themselves before God, for they were baptized with the baptism of John.

30 But the Pharisees and the scribes suppressed the will of God in themselves, because they were not baptized by him.

31 To whom, therefore, shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

32 They are like boys who sit in the street, and call to their friends and say, We have sung to you but you did not dance; and we have wailed to you and you did not weep.

33 For John the Baptist came, neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and you say, He is insane.

34 The Son of man came, eating and drinking; and you say, Behold, a glutton and a winebibber, and a friend of publicans and sinners!

35 And yet wisdom is justified by all its works.

36 Then one of the Pharisees came and asked him to eat with him. And he entered the house of that Pharisee and reclined as a guest.

37 Now there was in that city a woman who was a sinner; and when she knew that he was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took an alabaster cruse of perfume,

38 And she stood behind him at his feet, weeping, and she began to wet his feet with her tears, and to wipe them with the hair of her head, and she kissed his feet, and anointed them with perfume.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he reasoned in himself and said, If this man were a prophet, he would have known who she was and her reputation; for the woman who has touched him is a sinner.

40 Jesus answered and said to him, Simon, I have something to tell you. He said to him, Say it, teacher. Jesus said to him,

41 There were two men who were debtors to a creditor; one of them owed him five hundred pence, and the other one fifty pence.

42 And because they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which one of them will love him more?

43 Simon answered and said, I think the one to whom he forgave more. Jesus said to him, You have judged truly.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you did not give me even water for my feet; but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.

45 You did not kiss me; but she, since she entered, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 You did not anoint my head with oil; but she has anointed my feet with perfume.

47 For this reason, I say to you, Her many sins are forgiven, because she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven, loves little.

48 And he said to the woman, Your sins are forgiven.

49 Then the guests began to say within themselves, Who is this man, who forgives even sins?

50 Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

Kapitel 7

1 Nachdem1893 er aber1161 vor1519 dem Volk2992 ausgeredet3956 hatte4137, ging1525 er gen1519 Kapernaum2584.

2 Und1161 eines5100 Hauptmanns1543 Knecht1401 lag3195 todkrank5053, den3739 er2258 wert1784 hielt2192.

3 Da er846 aber1161 von4012 JEsu2424 hörete, sandte649 er846 die Ältesten4245 der Juden2453 zu191 ihm und3704 bat2065 ihn, daß4314 er käme2064 und seinen Knecht1401 gesund machte1295.

4 Da sie aber1161 zu4314 JEsu2424 kamen3854, baten3870 sie ihn mit Fleiß4709 und sprachen3004: Er846 ist2076 es wert514, daß3754 du ihm5124 das3739 erzeigest3930;

5 denn1063 er846 hat25 unser Volk1484 lieb, und2532 die Schule4864 hat er uns2257 erbauet.

6 JEsus2424 aber1161 ging mit4862 ihnen hin4198. Da sie846 aber1161 nun2235 nicht3756 ferne3112 von575 dem Hause3614 waren568, sandte3992 der5259 Hauptmann1543 Freunde5384 zu4314 ihm846 und1063 ließ ihm846 sagen3004: Ach HErr2962, bemühe4660 dich4660 nicht3361! Ich bin1510 nicht3756 wert2425, daß2443 du unter mein3450 Dach4721 gehest1525;

7 darum1352 ich auch2532 mich selbst1683 nicht3761 würdig geachtet515 habe, daß ich zu4314 dir4571 käme2064; sondern235 sprich2036 ein Wort3056, so wird mein3450 Knabe3816 gesund2390.

8 Denn1063 auch2532 ich1473 bin1510 ein Mensch444, der5259 Obrigkeit1849 untertan, und2532 habe2192 Kriegsknechte4757 unter5259 mir1683 und2532 spreche3004 zu einem5129: Gehe hin4198! so2532 geht er hin4198, und2532 zum andern243: Komm2064 her! so2532 kommt2064 er, und2532 zu meinem3450 Knecht1401: Tu4160 das5124! so tut4160 er‘s.

9 Da aber1161 JEsus2424 das5023 hörete, verwunderte2296 er846 sich sein und2532 wandte sich um4762 und sprach2036 zu dem846 Volk3793, das ihm190 nachfolgte: Ich sage3004 euch5213, solchen5118 Glauben4102 habe191 ich in1722 Israel2474 nicht3761 funden.

10 Und2532 da die Gesandten3992 wiederum5290 nach1519 Hause3624 kamen, fanden2147 sie den kranken770 Knecht1401 gesund5198.

11 Und2532 es begab1096 sich danach, daß1519 er846 in1722 eine Stadt4172 mit Namen2564 Nain3484 ging4198; und2532 seiner Jünger3101 gingen4848 viel2425 mit ihm846 und2532 viel4183 Volks3793.

12 Als er3778 aber1161 nahe1448 an das Stadttor4439 kam, siehe2400, da5613 trug1580 man einen Toten heraus, der ein einiger Sohn3439 war2348 seiner Mutter3384, und sie war2258 eine Witwe5503. Und viel2425 Volks3793 aus der Stadt4172 ging mit4862 ihr846.

13 Und2532 da sie846 der HErr2962 sah1492, jammerte4697 ihn846 derselbigen und2532 sprach2036 zu1909 ihr846: Weine2799 nicht3361!

14 Und2532 trat2476 hinzu4334 und1161 rührete den Sarg4673 an680. Und2532 die Träger941 stunden. Und er sprach2036: Jüngling3495, ich sage3004 dir4671, stehe auf1453!

15 Und2532 der Tote3498 richtete sich auf339 und2532 fing756 an zu reden2980. Und2532 er846 gab1325 ihn seiner846 Mutter3384.

22 Und2532 JEsus2424 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Gehet hin4198 und3754 verkündiget518 Johannes2491, was ihr846 gesehen und gehöret habt191: Die Blinden5185 sehen1492, die Lahmen5560 gehen4043, die Aussätzigen3015 werden1453 rein2511, die Tauben2974 hören191, die Toten3498 stehen auf308, den Armen4434 wird das3739 Evangelium2097 geprediget;

23 und2532 selig3107 ist2076, der sich nicht3362 ärgert4624 an1722 mir1698.

24 Da aber1161 die Boten32 des Johannes2491 hingingen565, fing756 JEsus an, zu4314 reden3004 zu dem Volk3793 von4012 Johannes2491: Was5101 seid ihr hinausgegangen1831 in1519 die Wüste2048 zu sehen2300? Wolltet ihr ein Rohr2563 sehen, das vom5259 Winde417 beweget wird4531?

25 Oder was5101 seid ihr hinausgegangen1831 zu sehen1492? Wolltet ihr einen Menschen sehen294 in1722 weichen3120 Kleidern2440? Sehet2400, die in1722 herrlichen1741 Kleidern2441 und235 Lüsten5172 leben5225, die sind1526 in den444 königlichen Höfen933.

26 Oder235 was5101 seid ihr bin1831 ausgegangen zu sehen1492? Wolltet ihr einen Propheten4396 sehen? Ja3483, ich sage3004 euch5213, der da2532 mehr4055 ist denn ein Prophet4396.

27 Er3778 ist‘s, von4012 dem3739 geschrieben1125 stehet2076: Siehe2400, ich1473 sende649 meinen3450 Engel32 vor4253 deinem4675 Angesicht4383 her, der3739 da, bereiten soll2680 deinen4675 Weg3598 vor1715 dir4675.

28 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch5213, daß unter1722 denen, die von Weibern1135 geboren1084 sind, ist2076 kein3762 größerer Prophet4396 denn3187 Johannes2491 der Täufer910; der aber1161 kleiner3398 ist2076 im1722 Reich932 Gottes2316, der ist größer3187 denn3187 er846.

29 Und2532 alles Volk2992, das3956 ihn hörete, und2532 die191 Zöllner5057 gaben1344 GOtt2316 recht und ließen sich taufen907 mit der Taufe908 des Johannes2491.

30 Aber1161 die Pharisäer5330 und2532 Schriftgelehrten3544 verachteten114 Gottes2316 Rat1012 wider1519 sich907 selbst1438 und ließen sich nicht3361 von5259 ihm846 taufen907.

31 Aber1161 der2532 HErr2962 sprach2036: Wem5101 soll ich die5026 Menschen444 dieses Geschlechts1074 vergleichen3666, und3767 wem5101 sind1526 sie gleich3664?

32 Sie sind1526 gleich3664 den Kindern3813, die auf1722 dem Markt58 sitzen2521 und2532 rufen4377 gegeneinander240 und2532 sprechen3004: Wir haben euch5213 gepfiffen832, und2532 ihr2799 habt nicht3756 getanzet; wir haben euch5213 geklaget, und2532 ihr2799 habt nicht3756 geweinet.

33 Denn1063 Johannes2491 der Täufer910 ist kommen2064 und25322068 nicht3383 Brot740 und trank4095 keinen Wein3631, so sagt3004 ihr: Er hat2192 den Teufel1140.

34 Des Menschen444 Sohn ist kommen2064, isset2068 und2532 trinket4095, so2532 sagt3004 ihr: Siehe2400, der Mensch444 ist ein Fresser5314 und2532 Weinsäufer3630, der Zöllner5057 und2532 Sünder268 Freund5384.

35 Und2532 die Weisheit4678 muß sich848 rechtfertigen lassen1344 von575 allen3956 ihren Kindern5043.

36 Es bat2065 ihn aber1161 der Pharisäer5330 einer5100, daß2443 er846 mit3326 ihm äße5315: Und2532 er846 ging hinein1525 in1519 des Pharisäers5330 Haus3614 und setzte sich347 zu Tische.

37 Und2532 siehe2400, ein Weib1135 war2258 in1722 der3748 Stadt4172, die war eine Sünderin268. Da die vernahm1921, daß3754 er zu Tische saß345 in des Pharisäers5330 Hause3614, brachte2865 sie ein Glas211 mit Salben3464

38 und2532 trat2476 hinten zu seinen846 Füßen4228 und2532 weinete und2532 fing756 an3844, seine846 Füße4228 zu netzen1026 mit Tränen1144 und2532 mit den Haaren2359 ihres Haupts zu trocknen1591; und küssete seine846 Füße4228 und salbete sie mit Salben218.

39 Da aber1161 das3588 der3748 Pharisäer5330 sah, der ihn geladen hatte2564, sprach2036 er846 bei1722 sich selbst1438 und2532 sagte3004: Wenn1487 dieser ein Prophet wäre, so wüßte er, wer5101 und welch4217 ein Weib1135 das1492 ist2076, die ihn anrühret; denn3754 sie1097 ist eine Sünderin268

40 JEsus2424 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu4314 ihm: Simon4613, ich habe2192 dir4671 etwas5100 zu sagen2036. Er846 aber1161 sprach2036: Meister1320, sage5346 an!

41 Es hatte ein Wucherer zwei1417 Schuldner5533. Einer5100 war2258 schuldig3784 fünfhundert4001 Groschen1220, der1520 andere2087 fünfzig4004.

42 Da3767 sie846 aber1161 nicht3361 hatten2192 zu bezahlen591, schenkte5483 er846‘s beiden297. Sage2036 an, welcher5101 unter denen wird ihn846 am meisten4119 lieben25?

43 Simon4613 antwortete611 und3754 sprach2036: Ich achte5274, dem3739 er846 am meisten4119 geschenket hat5483. Er aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihm: Du hast2919 recht3723 gerichtet2919.

44 Und2532 er3778 wandte sich4762 zu4314 dem Weibe1135 und2532 sprach5346 zu Simon4613: Siehest du991 dies5026 Weib1135? Ich bin kommen1525 in1519 dein4675 Haus3614, du hast mit1909 nicht3756 Wasser5204 gegeben1325 zu meinen3450 Füßen4228; diese aber1161 hat meine3450 Füße4228 mit Tränen1144 genetzet und mit den Haaren2359 ihres Haupts getrocknet1591.

45 Du hast mir3427 keinen3756 Kuß5370 gegeben1325; diese3778 aber1161, nachdem sie hereinkommen ist1525, hat sie nicht3756 abgelassen1257, meine3450 Füße4228 zu575 küssen2705.

46 Du hast mein3450 Haupt2776 nicht3756 mit Öle gesalbet; sie3778 aber1161 hat meine3450 Füße4228 mit Salben218 gesalbet

47 Derhalben sage3004 ich dir4671: Ihr846 sind viel4183 Sünden266 vergeben863, denn3754 sie hat25 viel4183 geliebet. Welchem aber1161 wenig3641 vergeben863 wird, der3588 liebet25 wenig3641.

48 Und1161 er sprach2036 zu ihr846: Dir4675 sind deine Sünden266 vergeben863.

49 Da fingen an756, die3739 mit ihm zu1722 Tisch saßen4873, und2532 sprachen3004 bei sich863 selbst1438: Wer5101 ist2076 dieser, der3778 auch2532 die Sünden266 vergibt?

50 Er aber1161 sprach2036 zu4314 dem Weibe1135: Dein4675 Glaube4102 hat dir4571 geholfen4982; gehe hin4198 mit1519 Frieden1515!

Das Evangelium nach Lukas

Kapitel 7

1 WHEN he had finished all of these words, in the hearing of the people, Jesus entered Capernaum.

1 Nachdem1893 er aber1161 vor1519 dem Volk2992 ausgeredet3956 hatte4137, ging1525 er gen1519 Kapernaum2584.

2 Now the servant of a centurion was seriously sick, one who was very dear to him; and he was near death.

2 Und1161 eines5100 Hauptmanns1543 Knecht1401 lag3195 todkrank5053, den3739 er2258 wert1784 hielt2192.

3 And when he heard about Jesus, he sent to him Jewish elders, and besought him to come and heal his servant.

3 Da er846 aber1161 von4012 JEsu2424 hörete, sandte649 er846 die Ältesten4245 der Juden2453 zu191 ihm und3704 bat2065 ihn, daß4314 er käme2064 und seinen Knecht1401 gesund machte1295.

4 When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, He is worthy to have this done for him;

4 Da sie aber1161 zu4314 JEsu2424 kamen3854, baten3870 sie ihn mit Fleiß4709 und sprachen3004: Er846 ist2076 es wert514, daß3754 du ihm5124 das3739 erzeigest3930;

5 For he loves our people, and has even built us a synagogue.

5 denn1063 er846 hat25 unser Volk1484 lieb, und2532 die Schule4864 hat er uns2257 erbauet.

6 Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent some of his friends to him, and said, My Lord, do not trouble yourself; for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof;

6 JEsus2424 aber1161 ging mit4862 ihnen hin4198. Da sie846 aber1161 nun2235 nicht3756 ferne3112 von575 dem Hause3614 waren568, sandte3992 der5259 Hauptmann1543 Freunde5384 zu4314 ihm846 und1063 ließ ihm846 sagen3004: Ach HErr2962, bemühe4660 dich4660 nicht3361! Ich bin1510 nicht3756 wert2425, daß2443 du unter mein3450 Dach4721 gehest1525;

7 That is why I was not worthy to come to you; but just say a word and my boy will be healed.

7 darum1352 ich auch2532 mich selbst1683 nicht3761 würdig geachtet515 habe, daß ich zu4314 dir4571 käme2064; sondern235 sprich2036 ein Wort3056, so wird mein3450 Knabe3816 gesund2390.

8 For I am also a man in government service, and there are soldiers under my command; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

8 Denn1063 auch2532 ich1473 bin1510 ein Mensch444, der5259 Obrigkeit1849 untertan, und2532 habe2192 Kriegsknechte4757 unter5259 mir1683 und2532 spreche3004 zu einem5129: Gehe hin4198! so2532 geht er hin4198, und2532 zum andern243: Komm2064 her! so2532 kommt2064 er, und2532 zu meinem3450 Knecht1401: Tu4160 das5124! so tut4160 er‘s.

9 When Jesus heard these things, he was amazed at him, and he turned and said to the people who followed him, I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such faith as this.

9 Da aber1161 JEsus2424 das5023 hörete, verwunderte2296 er846 sich sein und2532 wandte sich um4762 und sprach2036 zu dem846 Volk3793, das ihm190 nachfolgte: Ich sage3004 euch5213, solchen5118 Glauben4102 habe191 ich in1722 Israel2474 nicht3761 funden.

10 So those who were sent returned to the house, and found the servant who was sick, healed.

10 Und2532 da die Gesandten3992 wiederum5290 nach1519 Hause3624 kamen, fanden2147 sie den kranken770 Knecht1401 gesund5198.

11 And it came to pass on the next day, he was going to a city called Nain; and his disciples were with him, and many people.

11 Und2532 es begab1096 sich danach, daß1519 er846 in1722 eine Stadt4172 mit Namen2564 Nain3484 ging4198; und2532 seiner Jünger3101 gingen4848 viel2425 mit ihm846 und2532 viel4183 Volks3793.

12 And when they came near the gate of the city, he saw a dead man being carried out, who was the only son of his mother, and his mother was a widow; and many people of the city were with her.

12 Als er3778 aber1161 nahe1448 an das Stadttor4439 kam, siehe2400, da5613 trug1580 man einen Toten heraus, der ein einiger Sohn3439 war2348 seiner Mutter3384, und sie war2258 eine Witwe5503. Und viel2425 Volks3793 aus der Stadt4172 ging mit4862 ihr846.

13 When Jesus saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not.

13 Und2532 da sie846 der HErr2962 sah1492, jammerte4697 ihn846 derselbigen und2532 sprach2036 zu1909 ihr846: Weine2799 nicht3361!

14 Then he went and touched the bier, and those who carried it stood still. And he said, Young man, I tell you, Arise.

14 Und2532 trat2476 hinzu4334 und1161 rührete den Sarg4673 an680. Und2532 die Träger941 stunden. Und er sprach2036: Jüngling3495, ich sage3004 dir4671, stehe auf1453!

15 And the dead man sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.

15 Und2532 der Tote3498 richtete sich auf339 und2532 fing756 an zu reden2980. Und2532 er846 gab1325 ihn seiner846 Mutter3384.

16 And all men were seized with fear; and they praised God, saying, A great prophet is risen among us; and, God has visited his people.

16 Und1161 es3754 kam2983 sie537 alle eine Furcht5401 an und2532 preiseten GOtt2316 und3754 sprachen3004: Es ist1392 ein großer3173 Prophet4396 unter uns2254 aufgestanden1453, und2532: GOtt2316 hat1722 sein Volk2992 heimgesucht1980.

17 And this word about him went out through all Judaea, and through the country around them.

17 Und2532 diese3778 Rede3056 von4012 ihm846 erscholl1831 in1722 das ganze3650 jüdische Land2449 und2532 in1722 alle3956 umliegenden Länder4066.

18 And John's disciples told him all these things.

18 Und2532 es verkündigten518 Johannes2491 seine846 Jünger3101 das4012 alles3956. Und er rief zu sich seiner Jünger zwei

19 So John called two of his disciples, and sent them to Jesus, and said, Are you the one who is to come? or are we to expect another one?

19 und2532 sandte3992 sie zu4314 JEsu2424 und ließ ihm sagen3004: Bist1488 du4771, der da kommen2064 soll, oder2228 sollen wir5100 eines andern243 warten?

20 And they came to Jesus and said to him, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, Are you the one who is to come? or are we to expect another one?

20 Da aber1161 die Männer435 zu4314 ihm kamen3854, sprachen2036 sie846: Johannes2491 der Täufer910 hat649 uns2248 zu4314 dir4571 gesandt und läßt dir sagen3004: Bist1488 du4771, der da kommen2064 soll, oder2228 sollen wir4328 eines andern243 warten?

21 In that very hour, he healed a great many of their diseases and plagues, and of evil spirits; and he gave sight to many blind men.

21 Zu1722 derselbigen Stunde5610 aber1161 machte er846 viele4183 gesund2323 von575 Seuchen3554 und2532 Plagen3148 und2532 bösen4190 Geistern4151 und2532 viel4183 Blinden5185 schenkte5483 er das Gesicht991.

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John everything that you have seen and heard; that the blind see, and the lame walk, and the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead rise up, and the poor are given hope.

22 Und2532 JEsus2424 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Gehet hin4198 und3754 verkündiget518 Johannes2491, was ihr846 gesehen und gehöret habt191: Die Blinden5185 sehen1492, die Lahmen5560 gehen4043, die Aussätzigen3015 werden1453 rein2511, die Tauben2974 hören191, die Toten3498 stehen auf308, den Armen4434 wird das3739 Evangelium2097 geprediget;

23 And blessed is he, who does not stumble on account of me.

23 und2532 selig3107 ist2076, der sich nicht3362 ärgert4624 an1722 mir1698.

24 When John's disciples had gone, Jesus began to speak to the people concerning John, What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed which is shaken by the wind?

24 Da aber1161 die Boten32 des Johannes2491 hingingen565, fing756 JEsus an, zu4314 reden3004 zu dem Volk3793 von4012 Johannes2491: Was5101 seid ihr hinausgegangen1831 in1519 die Wüste2048 zu sehen2300? Wolltet ihr ein Rohr2563 sehen, das vom5259 Winde417 beweget wird4531?

25 If not so, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Behold, those who wear fine clothes and live delicately are in kings' houses.

25 Oder was5101 seid ihr hinausgegangen1831 zu sehen1492? Wolltet ihr einen Menschen sehen294 in1722 weichen3120 Kleidern2440? Sehet2400, die in1722 herrlichen1741 Kleidern2441 und235 Lüsten5172 leben5225, die sind1526 in den444 königlichen Höfen933.

26 And if not so, what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

26 Oder235 was5101 seid ihr bin1831 ausgegangen zu sehen1492? Wolltet ihr einen Propheten4396 sehen? Ja3483, ich sage3004 euch5213, der da2532 mehr4055 ist denn ein Prophet4396.

27 This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, to prepare the way before you.

27 Er3778 ist‘s, von4012 dem3739 geschrieben1125 stehet2076: Siehe2400, ich1473 sende649 meinen3450 Engel32 vor4253 deinem4675 Angesicht4383 her, der3739 da, bereiten soll2680 deinen4675 Weg3598 vor1715 dir4675.

28 I say to you that there is no prophet among those who are born of women, who is greater than John the Baptist; and yet even the least person in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

28 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch5213, daß unter1722 denen, die von Weibern1135 geboren1084 sind, ist2076 kein3762 größerer Prophet4396 denn3187 Johannes2491 der Täufer910; der aber1161 kleiner3398 ist2076 im1722 Reich932 Gottes2316, der ist größer3187 denn3187 er846.

29 And all the people who heard it, even the publicans, justified themselves before God, for they were baptized with the baptism of John.

29 Und2532 alles Volk2992, das3956 ihn hörete, und2532 die191 Zöllner5057 gaben1344 GOtt2316 recht und ließen sich taufen907 mit der Taufe908 des Johannes2491.

30 But the Pharisees and the scribes suppressed the will of God in themselves, because they were not baptized by him.

30 Aber1161 die Pharisäer5330 und2532 Schriftgelehrten3544 verachteten114 Gottes2316 Rat1012 wider1519 sich907 selbst1438 und ließen sich nicht3361 von5259 ihm846 taufen907.

31 To whom, therefore, shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

31 Aber1161 der2532 HErr2962 sprach2036: Wem5101 soll ich die5026 Menschen444 dieses Geschlechts1074 vergleichen3666, und3767 wem5101 sind1526 sie gleich3664?

32 They are like boys who sit in the street, and call to their friends and say, We have sung to you but you did not dance; and we have wailed to you and you did not weep.

32 Sie sind1526 gleich3664 den Kindern3813, die auf1722 dem Markt58 sitzen2521 und2532 rufen4377 gegeneinander240 und2532 sprechen3004: Wir haben euch5213 gepfiffen832, und2532 ihr2799 habt nicht3756 getanzet; wir haben euch5213 geklaget, und2532 ihr2799 habt nicht3756 geweinet.

33 For John the Baptist came, neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and you say, He is insane.

33 Denn1063 Johannes2491 der Täufer910 ist kommen2064 und25322068 nicht3383 Brot740 und trank4095 keinen Wein3631, so sagt3004 ihr: Er hat2192 den Teufel1140.

34 The Son of man came, eating and drinking; and you say, Behold, a glutton and a winebibber, and a friend of publicans and sinners!

34 Des Menschen444 Sohn ist kommen2064, isset2068 und2532 trinket4095, so2532 sagt3004 ihr: Siehe2400, der Mensch444 ist ein Fresser5314 und2532 Weinsäufer3630, der Zöllner5057 und2532 Sünder268 Freund5384.

35 And yet wisdom is justified by all its works.

35 Und2532 die Weisheit4678 muß sich848 rechtfertigen lassen1344 von575 allen3956 ihren Kindern5043.

36 Then one of the Pharisees came and asked him to eat with him. And he entered the house of that Pharisee and reclined as a guest.

36 Es bat2065 ihn aber1161 der Pharisäer5330 einer5100, daß2443 er846 mit3326 ihm äße5315: Und2532 er846 ging hinein1525 in1519 des Pharisäers5330 Haus3614 und setzte sich347 zu Tische.

37 Now there was in that city a woman who was a sinner; and when she knew that he was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took an alabaster cruse of perfume,

37 Und2532 siehe2400, ein Weib1135 war2258 in1722 der3748 Stadt4172, die war eine Sünderin268. Da die vernahm1921, daß3754 er zu Tische saß345 in des Pharisäers5330 Hause3614, brachte2865 sie ein Glas211 mit Salben3464

38 And she stood behind him at his feet, weeping, and she began to wet his feet with her tears, and to wipe them with the hair of her head, and she kissed his feet, and anointed them with perfume.

38 und2532 trat2476 hinten zu seinen846 Füßen4228 und2532 weinete und2532 fing756 an3844, seine846 Füße4228 zu netzen1026 mit Tränen1144 und2532 mit den Haaren2359 ihres Haupts zu trocknen1591; und küssete seine846 Füße4228 und salbete sie mit Salben218.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he reasoned in himself and said, If this man were a prophet, he would have known who she was and her reputation; for the woman who has touched him is a sinner.

39 Da aber1161 das3588 der3748 Pharisäer5330 sah, der ihn geladen hatte2564, sprach2036 er846 bei1722 sich selbst1438 und2532 sagte3004: Wenn1487 dieser ein Prophet wäre, so wüßte er, wer5101 und welch4217 ein Weib1135 das1492 ist2076, die ihn anrühret; denn3754 sie1097 ist eine Sünderin268

40 Jesus answered and said to him, Simon, I have something to tell you. He said to him, Say it, teacher. Jesus said to him,

40 JEsus2424 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036 zu4314 ihm: Simon4613, ich habe2192 dir4671 etwas5100 zu sagen2036. Er846 aber1161 sprach2036: Meister1320, sage5346 an!

41 There were two men who were debtors to a creditor; one of them owed him five hundred pence, and the other one fifty pence.

41 Es hatte ein Wucherer zwei1417 Schuldner5533. Einer5100 war2258 schuldig3784 fünfhundert4001 Groschen1220, der1520 andere2087 fünfzig4004.

42 And because they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which one of them will love him more?

42 Da3767 sie846 aber1161 nicht3361 hatten2192 zu bezahlen591, schenkte5483 er846‘s beiden297. Sage2036 an, welcher5101 unter denen wird ihn846 am meisten4119 lieben25?

43 Simon answered and said, I think the one to whom he forgave more. Jesus said to him, You have judged truly.

43 Simon4613 antwortete611 und3754 sprach2036: Ich achte5274, dem3739 er846 am meisten4119 geschenket hat5483. Er aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihm: Du hast2919 recht3723 gerichtet2919.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you did not give me even water for my feet; but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.

44 Und2532 er3778 wandte sich4762 zu4314 dem Weibe1135 und2532 sprach5346 zu Simon4613: Siehest du991 dies5026 Weib1135? Ich bin kommen1525 in1519 dein4675 Haus3614, du hast mit1909 nicht3756 Wasser5204 gegeben1325 zu meinen3450 Füßen4228; diese aber1161 hat meine3450 Füße4228 mit Tränen1144 genetzet und mit den Haaren2359 ihres Haupts getrocknet1591.

45 You did not kiss me; but she, since she entered, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

45 Du hast mir3427 keinen3756 Kuß5370 gegeben1325; diese3778 aber1161, nachdem sie hereinkommen ist1525, hat sie nicht3756 abgelassen1257, meine3450 Füße4228 zu575 küssen2705.

46 You did not anoint my head with oil; but she has anointed my feet with perfume.

46 Du hast mein3450 Haupt2776 nicht3756 mit Öle gesalbet; sie3778 aber1161 hat meine3450 Füße4228 mit Salben218 gesalbet

47 For this reason, I say to you, Her many sins are forgiven, because she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven, loves little.

47 Derhalben sage3004 ich dir4671: Ihr846 sind viel4183 Sünden266 vergeben863, denn3754 sie hat25 viel4183 geliebet. Welchem aber1161 wenig3641 vergeben863 wird, der3588 liebet25 wenig3641.

48 And he said to the woman, Your sins are forgiven.

48 Und1161 er sprach2036 zu ihr846: Dir4675 sind deine Sünden266 vergeben863.

49 Then the guests began to say within themselves, Who is this man, who forgives even sins?

49 Da fingen an756, die3739 mit ihm zu1722 Tisch saßen4873, und2532 sprachen3004 bei sich863 selbst1438: Wer5101 ist2076 dieser, der3778 auch2532 die Sünden266 vergibt?

50 Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

50 Er aber1161 sprach2036 zu4314 dem Weibe1135: Dein4675 Glaube4102 hat dir4571 geholfen4982; gehe hin4198 mit1519 Frieden1515!
