Chapter 20

1 AND I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he seized the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Tempter and Satan, who deceived the whole world, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up and set a seal over him, that he should no more deceive the nations until the thousand years should be fulfilled: after that he will be loosed for a short time.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them: and the souls of those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and who had not worshipped the wild beast, neither his image, nor had received his mark upon their foreheads or on their hand, lived and reigned with their Christ these thousand years. * But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.

5 This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection: over them the second death has no power, but they shall be the priests of God and of his Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years come to an end. Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, even to China and Mongolia, to gather them together for war: the number of them is as the sand of the sea.

9 And they went up on a broad plain, and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and consumed them.

10 And the devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also are the beast and the false prophet; and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it, from whose presence the earth and the heavens fled away; and there was no place found for them.

12 Then I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the throne; and the en_lbp_books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the en_lbp_books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell gave up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to his works.

14 And death and Sheol were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, which is the burning fire.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

4 And I saw1492 thrones,2362 and they sat2523 on them, and judgment2917 was given1325 to them: and I saw the souls5590 of them that were beheaded3990 for the witness3141 of Jesus,2424 and for the word3056 of God,2316 and which3748 had not worshipped4352 the beast,2342 neither3777 his image,1504 neither2532 3756 had received2983 his mark5480 on their foreheads,3359 or2532 in their hands;5495 and they lived2198 and reigned936 with Christ5547 a thousand5507 years.2094

5 But the rest3062 of the dead3498 lived326 not again326 until2193 the thousand5507 years2094 were finished.5055 This3778 is the first4413 resurrection.386

6 Blessed3107 and holy40 is he that has2192 part3313 in the first4413 resurrection:386 on1909 such5130 the second1208 death2288 has2192 no3756 power,1849 but they shall be priests2409 of God2316 and of Christ,5547 and shall reign936 with him a thousand5507 years.2094

7 And when3752 the thousand5507 years2094 are expired,5055 Satan4567 shall be loosed3089 out of his prison,5438

8 And shall go1831 out to deceive4105 the nations1484 which3588 are in the four5064 quarters1137 of the earth,1093 Gog,1136 and Magog,3098 to gather4863 them together4863 to battle:4171 the number706 of whom3739 is as the sand285 of the sea.2281

9 And they went305 up on1909 the breadth4114 of the earth,1093 and compassed2944 the camp3925 of the saints40 about,2944 and the beloved25 city:4172 and fire4442 came2597 down2597 from God2316 out of heaven,3772 and devoured2719 them.

10 And the devil1228 that deceived4105 them was cast906 into1519 the lake3041 of fire4442 and brimstone,2303 where3699 the beast2342 and the false5578 prophet5578 are, and shall be tormented928 day2250 and night3571 for ever165 and ever.165

11 And I saw1492 a great3173 white3022 throne,2362 and him that sat2521 on1909 it, from whose3739 face4383 the earth1093 and the heaven3772 fled5343 away; and there was found2147 no3756 place5117 for them.

12 And I saw1492 the dead,3498 small3398 and great,3173 stand2476 before1799 God;2316 and the books975 were opened:455 and another243 book976 was opened,455 which3739 is the book976 of life:2222 and the dead3498 were judged2919 out of those3588 things which were written1125 in the books,975 according2596 to their works.2041

13 And the sea2281 gave1325 up the dead3498 which3588 were in it; and death2288 and hell86 delivered1325 up the dead3498 which3588 were in them: and they were judged2919 every1538 man according2596 to their works.2041

14 And death2288 and hell86 were cast906 into1519 the lake3041 of fire.4442 This3778 is the second1208 death.2288

15 And whoever1536 was not found2147 written1125 in the book976 of life2222 was cast906 into1519 the lake3041 of fire.4442
