Leviticus

Chapter 20

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Say to the children of Israel, Any man of the children of Israel or of the proselytes who sojourn in Israel who shall cast any of his semen into an alien woman, he shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 And I will pour out my anger against that man and will cut him off from among his people; because he has cast his semen into an alien woman to defile my sanctuary and to profane my holy name.

4 And if the people of the land do in any way ignore the offense of the man who has cast of his semen into an alien woman, that they may not kill him,

5 Then I will set my anger against that man and against his family, and will cut him off and all who go astray after him, because they go astray after alien women from among their people.

6 And the person that goes after diviners and soothsayers to go astray after them, I will pour out my anger against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

7 Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God.

8 You shall keep my commandments and do them; I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

9 And he who curses his father or his mother shall be surely put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

10 And the man who commits adultery with another man's wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

11 And the man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

12 And if a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death, because they have committed a sin; their blood shall be upon them.

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

14 And if a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness; they shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you.

15 And if a man lies with a beast, he shall surely be put to death and the beast shall be stoned.

16 And if a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and be intimate with her and she be intimate with him, it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness; they shall suffer for their iniquity.

18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her menstruation and shall be intimate with her, he has uncovered her fountain and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19 And you shall not be intimate with your mother's sister nor your father's sister; for he uncovers the nakedness of his near kin; they shall suffer for their iniquity.

20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall suffer for their sin; they shall die childless.

21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an iniquity, for he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

22 You shall therefore keep all my commandments and all my judgments and do them, that the land whither I bring you to dwell therein may not be bereaved of you.

23 And you shall not walk in the manners of the nations which I am casting out before you; for they committed all these things, and therefore I was grieved by them.

24 But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I am the LORD your God who have separated you from other peoples.

25 You shall therefore make a distinction between clean beasts and unclean, and between clean fowls and unclean; and you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by fowl or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

26 And you shall be holy to me; for I the LORD am holy and have separated you from other peoples, that you should be mine.

27 A man or a woman who is a diviner, or soothsayer shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.

1 Господь сказал Моисею:

2 — Скажи израильтянам: «Любого израильтянина или живущего в Израиле чужеземца, который приносит в жертву Молоху своего ребенка, нужно предать смерти. Народ общины должен забить его камнями.

3 Я обращу Свое лицо против него и исторгну его из народа; ведь принося детей в жертву Молоху, он осквернил Мое святилище и обесчестил Мое святое имя.

4 Если народ общины закроет глаза на то, что кто-то отдал своего ребенка Молоху, и не предаст его смерти,

5 Я Сам обращу Свое лицо против того человека и его семьи и исторгну их из их народа — и его самого, и всех, кто следует за ним, блудя с Молохом.

6 Я обращу Мое лицо против человека, который обращается к вызывателям умерших и чародеям, нарушая верность Мне, следуя за ними, и Я исторгну его из народа.

7 Освящайтесь и будьте святы, потому что Я — Господь, ваш Бог.

8 Соблюдайте Мои установления и следуйте им. Я — Господь, освящающий вас.

9 Всякий, кто проклинает отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти. Он проклял отца или мать, он сам виновен в своей гибели.

10 Если мужчина нарушит супружескую верность с женой другого, то и изменника, и изменницу нужно предать смерти.

11 Если мужчина переспит с женой отца — он опозорил отца. И мужчину, и женщину нужно предать смерти — они сами виновны в своей гибели.

12 Если мужчина переспит со своей снохой, их обоих нужно предать смерти. Они сделали мерзость, они сами виновны в своей гибели.

13 Если мужчина ляжет с мужчиной, как ложатся с женщиной, они оба сделали мерзость. Их нужно предать смерти, они сами виновны в своей гибели.

14 Если мужчина женится и на дочери, и на ее матери — это разврат. И его, и их нужно сжечь, чтобы среди вас не было разврата.

15 Если мужчина совокупится с животным, его нужно предать смерти. Убейте и животное.

16 Если женщина приблизится к животному для совокупления, убейте и женщину, и животное. Их нужно предать смерти, они сами виновны в своей гибели.

17 Если мужчина женится на своей сестре, дочери своих отца или матери, и они совокупятся — это позор. Их нужно принародно изгнать. Он обесчестил сестру и подлежит наказанию.

18 Если человек ляжет с женщиной во время ее месячных и переспит с ней, то он обнажил источник ее кровотечения, и она также открыла его. Их обоих нужно исторгнуть из их народа.

19 Не совокупляйся с сестрой матери или отца, потому что это бесчестие для близкой родни; вы оба будете виновны.

20 Если человек переспит с женой дяди, он опозорил своего дядю. Они будут виновны и умрут бездетными.

21 Если человек женится на жене своего брата — это нечистота; он опозорил брата. Они будут бездетными.

22 Исполняйте все Мои законы и установления и соблюдайте их, чтобы земля, куда Я веду вас жить, не отторгла вас.

23 Не следуйте обычаям народов, которые Я прогоняю от вас. За то, что они делали все это, Я вознегодовал на них.

24 Но вам Я сказал: „Вы завладеете их землей. Я дам ее вам в наследие, землю, где течет молоко и мед“. Я — Господь, ваш Бог, отделивший вас от народов.

25 Отличайте чистых животных и птиц от нечистых. Не оскверняйте себя ни зверем, ни птицей, ни пресмыкающимся, которых Я велел вам считать нечистыми.

26 Будьте святы предо Мной, потому что Я, Господь, свят. Я отделил вас от народов, чтобы вы были Моими.

27 Мужчину или женщину, которые будут вызывать умерших или чародействовать среди вас, нужно предать смерти. Забейте их камнями, они сами виновны в своей гибели».

3 Я обращу Свое лицо против него и исторгну его из народа; ведь принося детей в жертву Молоху, он осквернил Мое святилище и обесчестил Мое святое имя.

4 Если народ общины закроет глаза на то, что кто-то отдал своего ребенка Молоху, и не предаст его смерти,

5 Then I will set my anger against that man and against his family, and will cut him off and all who go astray after him, because they go astray after alien women from among their people.

5 Я Сам обращу Свое лицо против того человека и его семьи и исторгну их из их народа — и его самого, и всех, кто следует за ним, блудя с Молохом.

6 And the person that goes after diviners and soothsayers to go astray after them, I will pour out my anger against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

6 Я обращу Мое лицо против человека, который обращается к вызывателям умерших и чародеям, нарушая верность Мне, следуя за ними, и Я исторгну его из народа.

7 Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God.

7 Освящайтесь и будьте святы, потому что Я — Господь, ваш Бог.

8 You shall keep my commandments and do them; I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

8 Соблюдайте Мои установления и следуйте им. Я — Господь, освящающий вас.

9 And he who curses his father or his mother shall be surely put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

9 Всякий, кто проклинает отца или мать, должен быть предан смерти. Он проклял отца или мать, он сам виновен в своей гибели.

14 And if a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness; they shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you.

14 Если мужчина женится и на дочери, и на ее матери — это разврат. И его, и их нужно сжечь, чтобы среди вас не было разврата.

15 And if a man lies with a beast, he shall surely be put to death and the beast shall be stoned.

15 Если мужчина совокупится с животным, его нужно предать смерти. Убейте и животное.

16 And if a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

16 Если женщина приблизится к животному для совокупления, убейте и женщину, и животное. Их нужно предать смерти, они сами виновны в своей гибели.

17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and be intimate with her and she be intimate with him, it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness; they shall suffer for their iniquity.

17 Если мужчина женится на своей сестре, дочери своих отца или матери, и они совокупятся — это позор. Их нужно принародно изгнать. Он обесчестил сестру и подлежит наказанию.

18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her menstruation and shall be intimate with her, he has uncovered her fountain and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

18 Если человек ляжет с женщиной во время ее месячных и переспит с ней, то он обнажил источник ее кровотечения, и она также открыла его. Их обоих нужно исторгнуть из их народа.

19 And you shall not be intimate with your mother's sister nor your father's sister; for he uncovers the nakedness of his near kin; they shall suffer for their iniquity.

19 Не совокупляйся с сестрой матери или отца, потому что это бесчестие для близкой родни; вы оба будете виновны.

20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall suffer for their sin; they shall die childless.

20 Если человек переспит с женой дяди, он опозорил своего дядю. Они будут виновны и умрут бездетными.

21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an iniquity, for he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

21 Если человек женится на жене своего брата — это нечистота; он опозорил брата. Они будут бездетными.

22 You shall therefore keep all my commandments and all my judgments and do them, that the land whither I bring you to dwell therein may not be bereaved of you.

22 Исполняйте все Мои законы и установления и соблюдайте их, чтобы земля, куда Я веду вас жить, не отторгла вас.

25 Отличайте чистых животных и птиц от нечистых. Не оскверняйте себя ни зверем, ни птицей, ни пресмыкающимся, которых Я велел вам считать нечистыми.

26 And you shall be holy to me; for I the LORD am holy and have separated you from other peoples, that you should be mine.

26 Будьте святы предо Мной, потому что Я, Господь, свят. Я отделил вас от народов, чтобы вы были Моими.

27 A man or a woman who is a diviner, or soothsayer shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.

27 Мужчину или женщину, которые будут вызывать умерших или чародействовать среди вас, нужно предать смерти. Забейте их камнями, они сами виновны в своей гибели».
