申命記

第3章

1 「以後，我們轉回，向巴珊去。巴珊王噩和他的眾民都出來，在以得來與我們交戰。

2 耶和華對我說：『不要怕他。因我已將他和他的眾民，並他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像從前待住希實本的亞摩利王西宏一樣。』

3 於是耶和華─我們的神也將巴珊王噩和他的眾民都交在我們手中；我們殺了他們，沒有留下一個。

4 那時，我們奪了他所有的城，共有六十座，沒有一座城不被我們所奪。這為亞珥歌伯的全境，就是巴珊地噩王的國。

5 這些城都有堅固的高牆，有門有閂；此外還有許多無城牆的村莊［towns］。

6 我們將這些盡都［utterly］毀滅了，像從前待希實本王西宏一樣，把各城的［of every city］男人［men］，連女人帶孩子，盡都毀滅。

7 唯有一切牲畜和城中的財物都取為自己的掠物。

8 那時，我們從約旦河這邊［this side］兩個亞摩利王的手將亞嫩河［river］直到黑門山之地奪過來，

9 （這黑門山，西頓人稱為西連，亞摩利人稱為示尼珥）

10 就是奪了平原的各城、基列全地、巴珊全地，直到撒迦和以得來，都是巴珊王噩國內的城邑。

11 巨人［giants］所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。見［behold］他的床是鐵的，長九肘，寬四肘，都是以人肘為度。現今豈不是在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？

12 「那時，我們得了這地。從亞嫩河［river］邊的亞羅珥起，我將基列山地的一半，並其中的城邑，都給了呂便人和迦得人。

13 其餘的基列地和巴珊全地，就是噩王的國，我給了瑪拿西半支派。亞珥歌伯全地乃是巴珊全地；這叫作巨人［giants］之地。

14 瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了亞珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和瑪迦人的交界；就按自己的名稱，稱為巴珊．哈倭特．睚珥［Bashan-havoth-jair］，直到今日。

15 我又將基列給了瑪吉。

16 從基列到亞嫩河［river］，以谷中為界，直到亞捫人交界的雅博河，我給了呂便人和迦得人，

17 又將平原［plain］和靠近約旦河之地，從基尼烈直到平原的海［sea of the plain］，就是鹽海，並亞實突．毗斯迦［Ashdoth-pisgah］東邊之地，都給了他們。

18 「那時，我吩咐你們說：耶和華─你們的神已將這地賜給你們為業；你們所有的勇士都要帶著兵器，在你們的弟兄以色列人前面過去。

19 但你們的妻子、孩子、牲畜，（我知道你們有許多的牲畜）可以住在我所賜給你們的各城裏。

20 等到耶和華使你們弟兄得享安息［LORD have given rest unto your brethren］，與你們一樣［as well as unto you］，並等到他們也得耶和華─你們神所賜給他們在約旦河那邊的地［and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan］，你們才可以回到我所賜給你們為業之地。』

21 那時我吩咐約書亞說：『你親眼看見了耶和華─你神向這二王所行的；耶和華也必向你所要去的各國照樣行。

22 你不要怕他們，因那為你爭戰的是耶和華─你的神。

23 「那時，我懇求耶和華說：

24 『主耶和華啊，你已將你的大力大能顯給你［thy］僕人看。在天上，在地下，有甚麼神能像你行事、像你有大能的作為呢？

25 求你容我過去，看約旦河那邊的美地，就是那佳美的山地和黎巴嫩。』

26 但耶和華因你們的緣故向我發怒，不聽允［hear］我；耶和華［LORD］對我說：『罷了。你不要向我再提這事。

27 你且上毗斯迦山頂去，向東、西、南、北舉目觀望，因為你必不能過這約旦河。

28 你卻要囑咐約書亞，勉勵他，使他膽壯；因為他必在這百姓前面過去，使他們承受你所要觀看之地。』

29 於是我們住在伯．毗珥對面的谷中。

Deuteronomy

Chapter 3

1 THEN we turned and went up the way to Mathnin; and Og the king of Mathnin came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Erdei.

2 And the LORD said to me, Do not fear him; for I have delivered him, and all his people and his land into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon.

3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Mathnin, and all his people; and we smote him until none was left to him surviving.

4 And we captured all his cities at that time, and we left not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Mathnin.

5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the suburban towns a great many.

6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, for we utterly destroyed all his cities, even the women and the little ones.

7 But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of the Jordan, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon

9 (The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir),

10 All the cities of the plain and all Gilead and all Mathnin as far as Salcah and Erdei, all the cities of the kingdom of Og in Mathnin.

11 For only Og the king of Mathnin remained of the remnant of the giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; and behold, it is in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, nine cubits long and four cubits broad, according to the measure of the cubit of giants.

12 And this land we possessed at that time, from Adoer, which is by the river of Arnon; and half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Mathnin, being the kingdom of Og. I gave to the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Mathnin, which is called the land of giants.

14 Jair the son of Manasseh took for himself all the region of Argob as far as the border of Geshur and Maachath; and called them after his own name, Mathnin and Caproney Jair, to this day.

15 To Machir I gave Gilead.

16 And to the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave the region from Gilead as far as the valley of Arnon, and the inside of the valley, and its border as far as the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

17 Along with the desert plain, and the Jordan, and the territory thereof, front Chinnereth as far as the sea of Arabah, the Salt Sea, which lies at the foot of Ashdod and Pisgah which is in the hilly country eastward.

18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it; you shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all of you who are valiant men of war.

19 But your wives and your little ones and your cattle (for I know that you have much cattle) shall remain in your cities which I have given you

20 Until the LORD have given rest to your brethren, as he has given to you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God is giving them beyond the Jordan; and then shall you return every man to the possession which I have given you.

21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings; so shall the LORD do to all these kingdoms through which you are going.

22 You shall not fear them; for it is the LORD your God who is fighting for you.

23 And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

24 I beseech thee O LORD God, thou who hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand, and thy outstretched arm (for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do according to thy works and according to thy mighty deeds?),

25 I pray thee, let me now go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

26 But the LORD was wroth with me on your account, and would not hearken to me; and the LORD said to me, Let it suffice for you; speak no more before me of this matter.

27 Go up to the top of the hill (Pisgah) and lift up your eyes eastward and westward and northward and southward, and behold it with your eyes; for you shall not cross this Jordan.

28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.

29 So we dwelt in the valley opposite Beth-peor.

1 「以後，我們轉回，向巴珊去。巴珊王噩和他的眾民都出來，在以得來與我們交戰。

1 THEN we turned and went up the way to Mathnin; and Og the king of Mathnin came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Erdei.

2 耶和華對我說：『不要怕他。因我已將他和他的眾民，並他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像從前待住希實本的亞摩利王西宏一樣。』

2 And the LORD said to me, Do not fear him; for I have delivered him, and all his people and his land into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon.

3 於是耶和華─我們的神也將巴珊王噩和他的眾民都交在我們手中；我們殺了他們，沒有留下一個。

3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Mathnin, and all his people; and we smote him until none was left to him surviving.

4 那時，我們奪了他所有的城，共有六十座，沒有一座城不被我們所奪。這為亞珥歌伯的全境，就是巴珊地噩王的國。

4 And we captured all his cities at that time, and we left not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Mathnin.

5 這些城都有堅固的高牆，有門有閂；此外還有許多無城牆的村莊［towns］。

5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the suburban towns a great many.

6 我們將這些盡都［utterly］毀滅了，像從前待希實本王西宏一樣，把各城的［of every city］男人［men］，連女人帶孩子，盡都毀滅。

6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, for we utterly destroyed all his cities, even the women and the little ones.

7 唯有一切牲畜和城中的財物都取為自己的掠物。

7 But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8 那時，我們從約旦河這邊［this side］兩個亞摩利王的手將亞嫩河［river］直到黑門山之地奪過來，

8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of the Jordan, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon

9 （這黑門山，西頓人稱為西連，亞摩利人稱為示尼珥）

9 (The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir),

10 就是奪了平原的各城、基列全地、巴珊全地，直到撒迦和以得來，都是巴珊王噩國內的城邑。

10 All the cities of the plain and all Gilead and all Mathnin as far as Salcah and Erdei, all the cities of the kingdom of Og in Mathnin.

11 巨人［giants］所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。見［behold］他的床是鐵的，長九肘，寬四肘，都是以人肘為度。現今豈不是在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？

11 For only Og the king of Mathnin remained of the remnant of the giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; and behold, it is in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, nine cubits long and four cubits broad, according to the measure of the cubit of giants.

12 「那時，我們得了這地。從亞嫩河［river］邊的亞羅珥起，我將基列山地的一半，並其中的城邑，都給了呂便人和迦得人。

12 And this land we possessed at that time, from Adoer, which is by the river of Arnon; and half of mount Gilead, and its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

13 其餘的基列地和巴珊全地，就是噩王的國，我給了瑪拿西半支派。亞珥歌伯全地乃是巴珊全地；這叫作巨人［giants］之地。

13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Mathnin, being the kingdom of Og. I gave to the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Mathnin, which is called the land of giants.

14 瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了亞珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和瑪迦人的交界；就按自己的名稱，稱為巴珊．哈倭特．睚珥［Bashan-havoth-jair］，直到今日。

14 Jair the son of Manasseh took for himself all the region of Argob as far as the border of Geshur and Maachath; and called them after his own name, Mathnin and Caproney Jair, to this day.

15 我又將基列給了瑪吉。

15 To Machir I gave Gilead.

16 從基列到亞嫩河［river］，以谷中為界，直到亞捫人交界的雅博河，我給了呂便人和迦得人，

16 And to the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave the region from Gilead as far as the valley of Arnon, and the inside of the valley, and its border as far as the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

17 又將平原［plain］和靠近約旦河之地，從基尼烈直到平原的海［sea of the plain］，就是鹽海，並亞實突．毗斯迦［Ashdoth-pisgah］東邊之地，都給了他們。

17 Along with the desert plain, and the Jordan, and the territory thereof, front Chinnereth as far as the sea of Arabah, the Salt Sea, which lies at the foot of Ashdod and Pisgah which is in the hilly country eastward.

18 「那時，我吩咐你們說：耶和華─你們的神已將這地賜給你們為業；你們所有的勇士都要帶著兵器，在你們的弟兄以色列人前面過去。

18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it; you shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all of you who are valiant men of war.

19 但你們的妻子、孩子、牲畜，（我知道你們有許多的牲畜）可以住在我所賜給你們的各城裏。

19 But your wives and your little ones and your cattle (for I know that you have much cattle) shall remain in your cities which I have given you

20 等到耶和華使你們弟兄得享安息［LORD have given rest unto your brethren］，與你們一樣［as well as unto you］，並等到他們也得耶和華─你們神所賜給他們在約旦河那邊的地［and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan］，你們才可以回到我所賜給你們為業之地。』

20 Until the LORD have given rest to your brethren, as he has given to you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God is giving them beyond the Jordan; and then shall you return every man to the possession which I have given you.

21 那時我吩咐約書亞說：『你親眼看見了耶和華─你神向這二王所行的；耶和華也必向你所要去的各國照樣行。

21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings; so shall the LORD do to all these kingdoms through which you are going.

22 你不要怕他們，因那為你爭戰的是耶和華─你的神。

22 You shall not fear them; for it is the LORD your God who is fighting for you.

23 「那時，我懇求耶和華說：

23 And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

24 『主耶和華啊，你已將你的大力大能顯給你［thy］僕人看。在天上，在地下，有甚麼神能像你行事、像你有大能的作為呢？

24 I beseech thee O LORD God, thou who hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand, and thy outstretched arm (for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do according to thy works and according to thy mighty deeds?),

25 求你容我過去，看約旦河那邊的美地，就是那佳美的山地和黎巴嫩。』

25 I pray thee, let me now go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
