第144篇

1 （大衛的詩。）耶和華─我的力量［strength］是應當稱頌的。他教導我的手爭戰，教導我的指頭打仗。

2 他是我的恩惠［goodness］，我的山寨；我的高臺，我的救主；我的盾牌，是我所投靠的；他使我的百姓服在我以下。

3 耶和華啊，人算甚麼，你竟認識他。世人算甚麼，你竟顧念他。

4 人好像空氣［vanity］；他的年日如同影兒快快過去。

5 耶和華啊，求你使諸天［heavens］下垂，親自降臨，摸山，山就冒煙。

6 求你發出閃電，使他們四散，射出你的箭，使他們滅絕［destroy］。

7 求你從上伸手救拔我，救我出離大水，救我脫離外邦人的手。

8 他們的口說空話［vanity］；他們的右手起假誓。

9 神啊，我要向你唱新歌，用瑟［psaltery］並十弦的樂器［and an instrument of ten strings］向你歌頌。

10 你是那拯救君王的；你是那救僕人大衛脫離害命之刀的。

11 求你救拔我，救我脫離外邦人的手。他們的口說空話［vanity］；他們的右手起假誓。

12 我們的兒子從幼年好像樹栽子長大；我們的女兒如同殿角石，是按建宮的樣式鑿成的。

13 我們的倉盈滿，能出各樣的糧食；我們的羊在街道［streets］孳生千萬。

14 我們的牛工作有力［strong to labour］，沒有人闖進來搶奪，也沒有人出去爭戰；我們的街道［streets］上也沒有爭鬧［complaining］的聲音。

15 遇見這光景的百姓便為有福。有耶和華為他們的神，這百姓便為有福。

Psalm 144

1 BLESSED be the LORD, my strength, who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight;

2 My refuge and my deliverer; my shield and my helper, upon whom I trust, who subdues nations under me.

3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? or the son of man, that thou art mindful of him?

4 Man is like vapour; his days are as a shadow that passes away.

5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down; rebuke the mountains, and they shall smoke.

6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

7 Stretch forth thy hand from above; deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of the ungodly,

8 Whose mouths speak vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

9 I will sing a new song to thee, O God; upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises to thee.

10 It is he who gives salvation to kings; who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword.

11 Deliver me from the hand of the wicked, whose mouths speak vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood,

12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as brides richly adorned after the fashion of temples;

13 That our storehouses may be full to overflowing; that our sheep may multiply abundantly in our streets;

14 That our cattle may be strong and there be none barren among them; that there be no stealing, and that there be no mourning in our streets.

15 Happy is the people who have all these things; yea, happy is the people, whose God is the LORD.
