Kapitel 16

1 Lieber schicket, ihr Landesherren, Lämmer3733 von Sela5554 aus7971 der Wüste4057 zum Berge2022 der Tochter1323 Zion6726.

2 Aber wie ein Vogel5775 dahinfleugt, der aus dem Nest7064 getrieben wird7971, so werden5074 sein die Töchter1323 Moabs4124, wenn sie vor Arnon769 vorüberziehen.

3 Sammelt Rat6098, haltet Gericht6415; mache6213 dir Schatten6738 des8432 Mittags6672 wie eine Nacht3915; verbirg5641 die Verjagten5080 und935 melde1540 die Flüchtigen nicht5074.

4 Laß meine Verjagten5080 bei dir herbergen1481; liebes Moab4124, sei du1933 ihr Schirm5643 vor dem Verstörer7703; so wird der Treiber ein Ende656 haben3615, der Verstörer7701 aufhören und8552 der Untertreter7429 ablassen im Lande6440.

5 Es wird aber ein Stuhl3678 bereitet3559 werden aus Gnaden2617, daß einer darauf sitze3427 in der Wahrheit571, in der Hütte168 Davids1732, und richte8199 und trachte nach1875 Recht4941 und fördere4106 Gerechtigkeit6664.

6 Wir hören8085 aber von dem Hochmut1346 Moabs4124, daß er907 fast groß ist3966, daß auch ihr Hochmut1347, Stolz1347 und Zorn5678 größer ist1341 denn ihre Macht.

7 Darum wird ein Moabiter4124 über den andern heulen3213, allesamt werden sie heulen3213. Über die Grundfesten808 der Stadt Kir-Hareseth7025 werden die Verlähmten seufzen1897:

8 Denn Hesbon2809 ist ein wüstes Feld7709 worden, der Weinstock1612 zu Sibma7643 ist verderbt, die Herren1167 unter den Heiden1471 haben5060 seine edlen Reben8291 zerschlagen1986 und sind kommen5674 bis gen Jaeser und ziehen um in der Wüste4057; ihre Feser sind zerstreuet und über das Meer3220 geführt.

9 Darum weine1065 ich1058 um Jaeser und um den Weinstock1612 zu Sibma7643 und vergieße viel7301 Tränen1832 um Hesbon2809 und Eleale500. Denn es ist5307 ein Gesang1959 in deinen Sommer7019 und in deine Ernte7105 gefallen,

10 daß Freude8057 und Wonne1524 im Felde3759 aufhöret, und in Weinbergen3754 jauchzet7442 noch ruft man1869 nicht. Man1869 keltert keinen Wein3196 in den Keltern3342; ich habe des Gesangs ein Ende gemacht7673.

11 Darum brummet mein Herz4578 über Moab4124 wie eine Harfe3658 und mein Inwendiges7130 über Kir-Hares.

12 Alsdann wird4720‘s offenbar werden7200, wie Moab4124 müde3811 ist935 bei den Altären1116 und wie er zu seiner Kirche gegangen sei zu beten6419, und doch nichts ausgerichtet habe3201.

13 Das1697 ist‘s, das der HErr3068 dazumal227 wider Moab4124 geredet hat1696.

14 Nun aber redet1696 der HErr3068 und spricht559: In8141 dreien7969 Jahren, wie eines Taglöhners Jahre8141 sind, wird die Herrlichkeit3519 Moabs4124 geringe werden7034 in der großen7227 Menge1995, daß gar ein4213 wenig4592 überbleibe und nicht viel.

1 THE prophecy concerning the rest of the land. I will send the son of the ruler of the land from the rock city of the wilderness, to the mount of the daughter of Zion.

2 And he shall be like a bird that changes its nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be deserted at the fords of Arnon.

3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; betray not him that wanders.

4 Let the outcasts of Moab dwell with you; be a shelter to them from the face of the spoiler; for the destroyer is at an end, and the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

5 In mercy shall a throne be established, and he shall sit upon it, in truth in the tabernacle of David, a judge who seeks justice and hastens righteousness.

6 We have heard of the majesty of Moab; he is very proud, even of his haughtiness and his wrath; his augurers so predict concerning him.

7 Therefore shall Moab howl; every one shall howl for Moab, for the foundations of the walls are destroyed; surely they groan like the sick.

8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the mighty men of the nations have broken down the branches thereof, they are come as far as Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness; its shoots spread out, they are gone over the sea.

9 Therefore I will cause you to weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah; I will water you with your tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh; for an oppressor has come against your harvest and the gathering of your grapes.

10 And gladness and joy are taken away out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no rejoicing, neither shall there be shouting: nor shall they tread out wine in the press; nor shall men tread out wine with their feet; for I have made the vine treaders to cease.

11 Therefore my heart shall lament like a harp for Moab, and my soul for the fortified walls which will be destroyed.

12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high places, that he shall come to the sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

13 This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning Moab since that time.

14 But now the LORD has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a hireling, the glory of Moab shall be despised, with all that great multitude of his people; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
