2 And it shall be1961 on the day3117 when834 ye shall pass over5674 853 Jordan3383 unto413 the land776 which834 the LORD3068 thy God430 giveth5414 thee, that thou shalt set thee up6965 great1419 stones,68 and plaster7874 them with plaster: 7875

3 And thou shalt write3789 upon5921 them853 all3605 the words1697 of this2063 law,8451 when thou art passed over,5674 that4616 834 thou mayest go in935 unto413 the land776 which834 the LORD3068 thy God430 giveth5414 thee, a land776 that floweth2100 with milk2461 and honey;1706 as834 the LORD3068 God430 of thy fathers1 hath promised1696 thee.

4 Therefore it shall be1961 when ye be gone over5674 853 Jordan,3383 that ye shall set up6965 853 these428 stones,68 which834 I595 command6680 you this day,3117 in mount2022 Ebal,5858 and thou shalt plaster7874 them with plaster.7875

9 And Moses4872 and the priests3548 the Levites3881 spoke1696 unto413 all3605 Israel,3478 saying,559 Take heed,5535 and hearken,8085 O Israel;3478 this2088 day3117 thou art become1961 the people5971 of the LORD3068 thy God.430

15 Cursed779 be the man376 that834 maketh6213 any graven6459 or molten image,4541 an abomination8441 unto the LORD,3068 the work4639 of the hands3027 of the craftsman,2796 and putteth7760 it in a secret5643 place. And all3605 the people5971 shall answer6030 and say,559 Amen.543

16 Cursed779 be he that setteth light7034 by his father1 or his mother.517 And all3605 the people5971 shall say,559 Amen.543

1 AND Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

2 And it shall be on the day that you cross the Jordan into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall set up large stones, and cover them with plaster;

3 And you shall write upon them all the words of this law, when you have crossed the Jordan, that you may go into the land which the LORD your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you.

4 Therefore when you have crossed the Jordan, you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on mount Gebel, and you shall cover them with plaster.

5 And there you shall build an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones; you shall not lift up any iron tool upon them.

6 You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of undressed stones, and you shall offer burnt offerings on it to the LORD your God:

7 And you shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there and rejoice before the LORD your God.

8 And you shall write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

9 And Moses and the priests and the Levites said to all Israel, Give ear and hearken, O Israel; this day you have become the people of the LORD your God.

10 You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day.

11 And Moses charged the people that same day, saying,

12 These tribes shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people when you have crossed the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin;

13 And these tribes shall stand upon Gebel to curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

14 And the Levites shall speak and say to all the people of Israel with a loud voice,

15 Cursed be the man who makes any graven or molten images, for they are an abomination before the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts them in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

16 Cursed be he who reviles his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

17 Cursed be he who removes his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

18 Cursed be he who causes a blind man to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

19 Cursed be he who perverts the judgment of the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

20 Cursed be he who lies with his father's wife; and thus uncovers his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

21 Cursed be he who lies with any kind of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22 Cursed be he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

23 Cursed be he who lies with his mother-in-law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

24 Cursed be he who smites his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25 Cursed be he who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say. Amen.

26 Cursed be he who does not confirm all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
