1 EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain.

2 It is in vain for those who rise up early, who sit up late; they eat the bread of sorrows, for so he gives in sleep to his beloved.

3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD; and the fruit of the womb is a reward.

4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; he shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with enemies in the gate.

1 Благословен каждый, кто со страхом и почтением верует в Бога, кто следует воле Его.

2 Ты плодами трудов своих насладишься, будешь счастлив, всё у тебя будет хорошо.

3 Жена твоя будет потомством богата, подобно лозе плодоносной станет она. Когда за столом все твои дети соберутся, будут они похожи на оливковый сад.

4 Да будет Господом благословлён тот, кто верует в Него.

5 Да благословит тебя Господь с Сиона, и благоденствием Иерусалима насладишься ты во все дни жизни своей.
