1 Закончив устанавливать священный шатёр, Моисей в тот же день посвятил его Господу, совершив помазание святого шатра и всех предметов, находившихся внутри шатра, а также алтаря и всех его принадлежностей. Это было сделано в знак того, что всем этим следует пользоваться только при поклонении Господу.

2 И тогда израильские вожди представили свои приношения Господу. Эти люди были главами своих родов и вождями своих колен, те самые, которые распоряжались исчислением народа.

3 Эти вожди принесли Господу дары, привели шесть крытых повозок и двенадцать волов, чтобы запрячь в повозки, по одному волу от каждого вождя и по одной повозке от каждой группы объединившихся по двое. Они передали всё это Господу перед священным шатром.

4 Господь сказал Моисею:

Каждый вождь принёс одного бычка, одного барана и одного годовалого ягнёнка для жертвы всесожжения. Каждый вождь принёс также одного козла в приношение за грех, двух волов, пять баранов, пять козлов и пять годовалых ягнят, и все они были принесены в жертву содружества.
