Chapter 8

1 Moreover the LORD3068 said559 to me, Take3947 you a great1419 roll,1549 and write3789 in it with a man's582 pen2747 concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.4122

2 And I took to me faithful539 witnesses5707 to record,5749 Uriah223 the priest,3548 and Zechariah2148 the son1121 of Jeberechiah.3000

3 And I went7126 to the prophetess;5031 and she conceived,2029 and bore3205 a son.1121 Then said559 the LORD3068 to me, Call7121 his name8034 Mahershalalhashbaz.4122

4 For before2962 the child5288 shall have knowledge3045 to cry,7121 My father,1 and my mother,517 the riches2428 of Damascus1834 and the spoil7998 of Samaria8111 shall be taken5375 away before6440 the king4428 of Assyria.804

5 The LORD3068 spoke1696 also to me again,3254 saying,559

6 For as much3282 365 as this2088 people5971 refuses3988 the waters4325 of Shiloah7975 that go1980 softly,328 and rejoice4885 in Rezin7526 and Remaliah's7425 son;1121

7 Now therefore,3651 behold,2009 the Lord136 brings5927 up on them the waters4325 of the river,5104 strong6099 and many,7227 even853 the king4428 of Assyria,804 and all3605 his glory:3519 and he shall come5927 up over5921 all3605 his channels,650 and go1980 over5921 all3605 his banks:1415

8 And he shall pass2498 through Judah;3063 he shall overflow7857 and go5674 over,5674 he shall reach5060 even to the neck;6677 and the stretching4298 out of his wings3671 shall fill4393 the breadth7341 of your land,776 O Immanuel.6005

9 Associate7489 yourselves, O you people,5971 and you shall be broken2844 in pieces; and give ear,238 all3605 you of far4801 countries:776 gird247 yourselves, and you shall be broken2844 in pieces; gird247 yourselves, and you shall be broken2844 in pieces.

10 Take counsel6098 together, and it shall come to nothing;6565 speak1696 the word,1697 and it shall not stand:6965 for God410 is with us.

11 For the LORD3068 spoke559 thus3541 to me with a strong2393 hand,3027 and instructed3256 me that I should not walk3212 in the way1870 of this2088 people,5971 saying,559

12 Say559 you not, A confederacy,7195 to all3605 them to whom834 this2088 people5971 shall say,559 A confederacy;7195 neither3808 fear3372 you their fear,4172 nor3808 be afraid.6206

13 Sanctify6942 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 himself; and let him be your fear,4172 and let him be your dread.6206

14 And he shall be for a sanctuary;4720 but for a stone68 of stumbling5063 and for a rock6697 of offense4383 to both8147 the houses1004 of Israel,3478 for a gin6341 and for a snare4170 to the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem.3389

15 And many7227 among them shall stumble,3782 and fall,5307 and be broken,7665 and be snared,3369 and be taken.3920

16 Bind6887 up the testimony,8584 seal2856 the law8451 among my disciples.3928

17 And I will wait2442 on the LORD,3068 that hides5641 his face6440 from the house1004 of Jacob,3290 and I will look6960 for him.

18 Behold,2009 I and the children3206 whom834 the LORD3068 has given5414 me are for signs226 and for wonders4159 in Israel3478 from the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 which dwells7931 in mount2022 Zion.6726

19 And when3588 they shall say559 to you, Seek1875 to them that have familiar spirits,178 and to wizards3049 that peep,6850 and that mutter:1897 should not a people5971 seek1875 to their God?430 for the living2416 to the dead?4191

20 To the law8451 and to the testimony:8584 if518 they speak559 not according to this2088 word,1697 it is because834 there is no369 light7837 in them.

21 And they shall pass5674 through it, hardly7185 bestead and hungry:7456 and it shall come1961 to pass, that when3588 they shall be hungry,7456 they shall fret7107 themselves, and curse7043 their king4428 and their God,430 and look6437 upward.4605

22 And they shall look5027 to the earth;776 and behold2009 trouble6869 and darkness,2825 dimness4588 of anguish;6695 and they shall be driven5080 to darkness.653

第8章

1 耶和華對我說：「你取一大書卷［a great roll］，拿人所用的筆寫在卷中［write in it with a man's pen］，論到［concerning］瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯。

2 我用了［took］忠信的［faithful］見證人，祭司烏利亞和耶比利家的兒子撒迦利亞記錄這事。

3 我又［And］與女先知［prophetess］同室；她就［and］懷孕，生了一［bare a］子。耶和華就對我說：「給他起名叫瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯。

4 因為在這小孩子將要曉得［shall have knowledge to］叫父叫母之先，大馬士革的財寶和撒瑪利亞的擄物必在亞述王面前奪［taken］了去。

5 耶和華又曉諭我說：

6 「這百姓既不肯受［refuseth］西羅亞緩流的水，喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；

7 因此，看哪［behold］，主使河中的水沖沒他們［bringeth up upon them the waters of the river］，這水既猛且多［strong and many］，就是亞述王和他所有的威勢；他［he］必漲過［come up over］他［his］一切的水道，漫過他一切的［go over all his］岸；

8 他［he］必經過［pass through］猶大；他必［he shall］氾濫而過［overflow and go over］，直漲到［reach even to］頸項；以馬內利啊，他展開翅膀，遍滿你的地。」

9 列國的人民哪，任憑你們連合［Associate］，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］；遠方的眾人哪，你們［ye］當側耳而聽。任憑你們束起腰來，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］；你們束起腰來，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］。

10 任憑你們同謀，必［shall］歸無有；任憑你們言定，終不成立。因為神與我們同在。

11 耶和華以大能的手，指教我不可行這百姓所行的道，對我這樣說：

12 「這百姓說結盟［confederacy］，你們不要說結盟［confederacy］；他們所怕的，你們不要畏懼［fear］，也不要害怕［afraid］。

13 當尊大軍之耶和華為聖［Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself］；以他為你們所當怕的，所當畏懼的。

14 他必作為聖所；卻向以色列兩家作絆腳的石頭，跌人的磐石，向耶路撒冷的居民作為圈套和網羅。

15 他們中間必有多人［many among them shall］絆腳跌倒，而且跌碎，並陷入網羅，被纏住。」

16 你要捲起法度［testimony］，在我門徒中間封住律法［law］。

17 我要等候那掩面不顧雅各家的耶和華，我也要仰望他。

18 看哪，我與耶和華所給我的兒女，就是從住在錫安山大軍之耶和華來、在以色列中作為預兆和奇蹟的［are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion］。

19 他們［they］對你們說：「當求問那些有靈使［have familiar spirits］的和行巫術的，就是聲音吱吱［peep］，言語喃喃的［mutter］的。」百姓不當尋問自己的神嗎？豈可為活人尋問死人呢［should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead］？

20 人當以律法［law］和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此話［word］相符，是因為他們裏頭沒有光［it is because there is no light in them］。

21 他們必經過這地，遭艱困［hardly bestead］，受飢餓；他們［they］飢餓的時候，必［shall］心中焦躁，咒罵自己的君王和自己的神，仰觀上望［and look upward］。

22 他們必［And they shall］俯察下地；不料，盡是艱難、黑暗，和幽暗的痛苦；他們必被趕入黑暗［darkness］中去。

1 耶和華對我說：「你取一大書卷［a great roll］，拿人所用的筆寫在卷中［write in it with a man's pen］，論到［concerning］瑪黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罷斯。

2 And I took to me faithful539 witnesses5707 to record,5749 Uriah223 the priest,3548 and Zechariah2148 the son1121 of Jeberechiah.3000

5 The LORD3068 spoke1696 also to me again,3254 saying,559

5 耶和華又曉諭我說：

7 因此，看哪［behold］，主使河中的水沖沒他們［bringeth up upon them the waters of the river］，這水既猛且多［strong and many］，就是亞述王和他所有的威勢；他［he］必漲過［come up over］他［his］一切的水道，漫過他一切的［go over all his］岸；

8 他［he］必經過［pass through］猶大；他必［he shall］氾濫而過［overflow and go over］，直漲到［reach even to］頸項；以馬內利啊，他展開翅膀，遍滿你的地。」

9 Associate7489 yourselves, O you people,5971 and you shall be broken2844 in pieces; and give ear,238 all3605 you of far4801 countries:776 gird247 yourselves, and you shall be broken2844 in pieces; gird247 yourselves, and you shall be broken2844 in pieces.

9 列國的人民哪，任憑你們連合［Associate］，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］；遠方的眾人哪，你們［ye］當側耳而聽。任憑你們束起腰來，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］；你們束起腰來，必被打碎［shall be broken in pieces］。

10 Take counsel6098 together, and it shall come to nothing;6565 speak1696 the word,1697 and it shall not stand:6965 for God410 is with us.

10 任憑你們同謀，必［shall］歸無有；任憑你們言定，終不成立。因為神與我們同在。

11 For the LORD3068 spoke559 thus3541 to me with a strong2393 hand,3027 and instructed3256 me that I should not walk3212 in the way1870 of this2088 people,5971 saying,559

11 耶和華以大能的手，指教我不可行這百姓所行的道，對我這樣說：

12 Say559 you not, A confederacy,7195 to all3605 them to whom834 this2088 people5971 shall say,559 A confederacy;7195 neither3808 fear3372 you their fear,4172 nor3808 be afraid.6206

12 「這百姓說結盟［confederacy］，你們不要說結盟［confederacy］；他們所怕的，你們不要畏懼［fear］，也不要害怕［afraid］。

13 Sanctify6942 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 himself; and let him be your fear,4172 and let him be your dread.6206

13 當尊大軍之耶和華為聖［Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself］；以他為你們所當怕的，所當畏懼的。

14 And he shall be for a sanctuary;4720 but for a stone68 of stumbling5063 and for a rock6697 of offense4383 to both8147 the houses1004 of Israel,3478 for a gin6341 and for a snare4170 to the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem.3389

14 他必作為聖所；卻向以色列兩家作絆腳的石頭，跌人的磐石，向耶路撒冷的居民作為圈套和網羅。

15 And many7227 among them shall stumble,3782 and fall,5307 and be broken,7665 and be snared,3369 and be taken.3920

15 他們中間必有多人［many among them shall］絆腳跌倒，而且跌碎，並陷入網羅，被纏住。」

16 你要捲起法度［testimony］，在我門徒中間封住律法［law］。

17 And I will wait2442 on the LORD,3068 that hides5641 his face6440 from the house1004 of Jacob,3290 and I will look6960 for him.

17 我要等候那掩面不顧雅各家的耶和華，我也要仰望他。

18 Behold,2009 I and the children3206 whom834 the LORD3068 has given5414 me are for signs226 and for wonders4159 in Israel3478 from the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 which dwells7931 in mount2022 Zion.6726

18 看哪，我與耶和華所給我的兒女，就是從住在錫安山大軍之耶和華來、在以色列中作為預兆和奇蹟的［are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion］。

19 他們［they］對你們說：「當求問那些有靈使［have familiar spirits］的和行巫術的，就是聲音吱吱［peep］，言語喃喃的［mutter］的。」百姓不當尋問自己的神嗎？豈可為活人尋問死人呢［should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead］？

20 To the law8451 and to the testimony:8584 if518 they speak559 not according to this2088 word,1697 it is because834 there is no369 light7837 in them.

20 人當以律法［law］和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此話［word］相符，是因為他們裏頭沒有光［it is because there is no light in them］。
