4 You love157 all3605 devouring1105 words,1697 O you deceitful4820 tongue.3956

5 God410 shall likewise1571 destroy5422 you for ever,5331 he shall take2846 you away,2846 and pluck5255 you out of your dwelling168 place, and root8327 you out of the land776 of the living.2416 Selah.5542

6 The righteous6662 also shall see,7200 and fear,3372 and shall laugh7832 at5921 him:

7 See,2009 this is the man1397 that made7760 not God430 his strength;4581 but trusted982 in the abundance7230 of his riches,6239 and strengthened5810 himself in his wickedness.1942

8 But I am like a green7488 olive2132 tree in the house1004 of God:430 I trust982 in the mercy2617 of God430 for ever5769 and ever.5703

9 I will praise3034 you for ever,5769 because3588 you have done6213 it: and I will wait6960 on your name;8034 for it is good2896 before5048 your saints.2623

1 （以東人多益來告訴掃羅說：「大衛到了亞希米勒家。」那時，大衛作這訓誨詩，交與伶長。）勇士啊，你為何以作惡自誇？神的恩惠［goodness］是常存的。

2 你的舌頭圖謀［deviseth］邪惡，好像剃頭刀，行事詭詐［working deceitfully］。

3 你愛惡勝過愛善，又愛說謊，不愛說公義。細拉。

4 詭詐的舌頭啊，你愛說一切毀滅的話。

5 神也要毀滅你，直到永遠；他要把你拿去，從你的居所［dwelling place］中抽出，從活人之地將你拔出。細拉。

6 義人要看見而懼怕，並要笑他，

7 說：看哪，這就是那不以神為他力量的人，只倚仗他豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。

8 至於我，就像神殿中的青橄欖樹；我永永遠遠倚靠神的慈愛。

9 我要稱讚［praise］你，直到永遠，因為你行了這事。我也要在你聖民面前仰望你的名；這名本為美好。
