Kapitel 26

1 Im Anfang7225 des Königreiches Jojakims3079, des Sohns Josias2977, des Königs4428 Judas, geschah dies Wort1697 vom HErrn3068 und1121 sprach559:

2 So spricht der HErr3068: Tritt5975 in den Vorhof2691 am Hause1004 des HErrn3068 und935 predige allen Städten5892 Judas, die da hereingehen anzubeten7812 im Hause1004 des HErrn3068, alle Worte1696, die ich dir befohlen6680 habe1696, ihnen1697 zu sagen559, und tue nichts1697 davon1639,

3 ob sie vielleicht hören wollen2803 und7455 sich bekehren, ein376 jeglicher von6440 seinem bösen7451 Wesen1870, damit mich5162 auch reuen möchte das Übel, das ich gedenke, ihnen zu8085 tun6213, um7725 ihres bösen7451 Wandels willen4611.

4 Und sprich559 zu8085 ihnen: So spricht559 der HErr3068: Werdet ihr mir6440 nicht gehorchen, daß ihr in meinem Gesetz8451 wandelt3212, das ich euch vorgelegt habe5414,

5 daß ihr höret die Worte1697 meiner Knechte5650, der Propheten5030, welche ich stets7925 zu8085 euch gesandt7971 habe, und7971 ihr doch nicht hören8085 wolltet,

6 so will ich‘s mit diesem Hause1004 machen5414 wie mit Silo7887 und diese Stadt5892 zum Fluch7045 allen Heiden1471 auf Erden776 machen5414.

7 Da nun die Priester, Propheten5030 und3548 alles1697 Volk5971 höreten Jeremia3414, daß er solche Worte redete1696 im Hause1004 des HErrn3068,

8 und3548 Jeremia3414 nun ausgeredet hatte3615 alles, was ihm der HErr3068 befohlen6680 hatte1696, allem Volk5971 zu4191 sagen559, griffen8610 ihn die Priester, Propheten5030 und das ganze Volk5971 und sprachen1696: Du mußt sterben4191!

9 Warum darfst du weissagen5012 im Namen8034 des HErrn3068 und sagen559: Es wird diesem Hause1004 gehen wie Silo7887, und diese Stadt5892 soll so wüste2717 werden, daß niemand mehr drinnen wohne3427? Und das ganze Volk5971 sammelte6950 sich im Hause1004 des HErrn3068 wider Jeremia3414.

10 Da solches8085 höreten die Fürsten8269 Judas, gingen sie aus des Königs4428 Hause1004 hinauf5927 ins Haus1004 des HErrn3068 und setzten sich3427 vor das1697 neue2319 Tor6607 des HErrn3068.

11 Und3548 die Priester und559 Propheten5030 sprachen559 vor den Fürsten8269 und allem Volk5971: Dieser ist des Todes4194 schuldig; denn er376 hat4941 geweissagt5012 wider diese Stadt5892, wie ihr8085 mit euren Ohren241 gehöret habt.

12 Aber Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu allen Fürsten8269 und zu allem Volk5971: Der HErr3068 hat8085 mich gesandt7971, daß ich559 solches alles, das1697 ihr gehöret habt, sollte weissagen5012 wider dies Haus1004 und wider diese Stadt5892.

13 So bessert nun euer Wesen1870 und3190 Wandel4611 und gehorchet der Stimme6963 des HErrn3068, eures Gottes430, so wird1696 den HErrn3068 auch gereuen5162 das Übel7451, das er wider euch geredet hat8085.

14 Siehe, ich bin in euren Händen3027; ihr möget es machen6213 mit mir, wie es euch5869 recht3477 und gut2896 dünkt.

15 Doch sollt ihr3045 wissen3045, wo ihr mich tötet4191, so werdet ihr unschuldig5355 Blut1818 laden auf euch selbst, auf diese Stadt5892 und5414 ihre Einwohner3427. Denn wahrlich571, der HErr3068 hat mich zu euch gesandt7971, daß ich solches alles1697 vor euren Ohren241 reden1696 sollte.

16 Da sprachen559 die Fürsten8269 und das ganze Volk5971 zu den Priestern3548 und Propheten5030: Dieser ist1696 des Todes4194 nicht schuldig; denn er376 hat4941 zu uns geredet im Namen8034 des HErrn3068, unsers Gottes430.

17 Und559 es stunden auf6965 etliche582 der Ältesten2205 im Lande776 und sprachen559 zum ganzen Haufen6951 des Volks5971:

18 Zur Zeit3117 Hiskias2396, des Königs4428 Judas, war ein Prophet5012, Micha4320 von Maresa, und559 sprach559 zum ganzen Volk5971 Juda3063: So spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635: Zion6726 soll wie ein Acker7704 gepflüget werden2790, und Jerusalem3389 ein Steinhaufen5856 werden und der Berg2022 des Hauses1004 (des HErrn) zum wilden Walde3293.

19 Noch4191 ließ ihn Hiskia2396, der König4428 Judas, und das ganze Juda3063 darum nicht7451 töten4191; ja, sie fürchteten3373 vielmehr den HErrn3068 und beteten2470 vor6440 dem7451 HErrn3068. Da reuete auch den HErrn das Übel, das er wider sie geredet hatte5162. Darum tun6213 wir587 sehr1419 übel wider unsere Seelen5315:

20 So war auch einer376, der im Namen8034 des HErrn3068 weissagte5012, Uria223, der Sohn1121 Semajas8098, von Kiriath-Jearim7157. Derselbe weissagte5012 wider diese Stadt5892 und wider dies Land776 gleichwie1697 Jeremia3414.

21 Da aber der König4428 Jojakim3079 und935 alle seine Gewaltigen1368 und die Fürsten8269 seine Worte höreten, wollte1245 ihn der König4428 töten4191 lassen8085. Und Uria223 erfuhr8085 das1697, fürchtete3372 sich und floh1272 und zog nach Ägypten4714.

22 Aber der König4428 Jojakim3079 schickte7971 Leute582 nach Ägypten4714, Elnathan494, den Sohn1121 Achbors5907, und582 andere mit ihm.

23 Die führeten ihn223 aus3318 Ägypten4714 und1121 brachten935 ihn zum Könige4428 Jojakim3079; der ließ7993 ihn mit dem Schwert2719 töten5221 und ließ seinen Leichnam5038 unter dem gemeinen Pöbel5971 begraben6913.

24 Also war1121 die Hand3027 Ahikams296, des Sohns Saphans8227, mit Jeremia3414, daß er nicht dem Volk5971 in die Hände3027 kam, daß sie5414 ihn töteten4191.

1 IN the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD: Stand in the court of the LORD'S house and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the house of the LORD all the words that I commanded you to speak to them; omit not a word:

3 Perhaps they will listen and turn every man from his evil way, so that I may cease from the harm which I purpose to do to them because of their evil doings.

4 And you shall say to them, Thus says the LORD: If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law which I have set before you

5 And to hearken to the words of my servants the prophets whom I have sent to you, warning you in advance, but you have not hearkened;

6 Then I will make this house like Shiloh and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

7 So the priests and the false prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.

8 Now it came to pass when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak to all the people, then the priests and the false prophets and all the people seized him, saying,

9 He shall surely be put to death, for he has prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant. And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

10 When the princes of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house to the house of the LORD and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house.

11 Then the priests and the false prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is guilty of death; for he has prophesied against this city and against its inhabitants, as you have heard with your ears.

12 Then Jeremiah spoke to all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will cease from the evil which he has pronounced against you.

14 As for me, behold, I am in your hands; do with me as it seems right and proper to you.

15 But you must know for certain that if you put me to death, you shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves and upon this city and upon its inhabitants; for of a truth the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.

16 Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the false prophets, This man is not guilty of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

17 Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying,

18 Micah the Morashite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and said to all the people of Judah, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the temple like a forest.

19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? No, but they feared the LORD and prayed before him, and the LORD refrained from the evil which he had pronounced against them. And now, we wish to bring great evil upon ourselves.

20 And there was also another man who prophesied in the name of the LORD, Uriah the son of Shemaiah from Koriath-narin, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah;

21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his servants and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death; but when Uriah heard of it, he was afraid; so he fled and went to Egypt;

22 And King Jehoiakim sent a certain Egyptian, namely, Eliathan the son of Achbor, and certain other men with him to Egypt.

23 And they fetched Uriah from Egypt, and brought him to King Jehoiakim; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the burial place of the common people.

24 Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that they might not deliver him into the hand of the people to put him to death.

8 Now it came to pass when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak to all the people, then the priests and the false prophets and all the people seized him, saying,

9 He shall surely be put to death, for he has prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant. And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

10 When the princes of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house to the house of the LORD and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house.

11 Then the priests and the false prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is guilty of death; for he has prophesied against this city and against its inhabitants, as you have heard with your ears.

12 Aber Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu allen Fürsten8269 und zu allem Volk5971: Der HErr3068 hat8085 mich gesandt7971, daß ich559 solches alles, das1697 ihr gehöret habt, sollte weissagen5012 wider dies Haus1004 und wider diese Stadt5892.

12 Then Jeremiah spoke to all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

16 Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the false prophets, This man is not guilty of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his servants and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death; but when Uriah heard of it, he was afraid; so he fled and went to Egypt;

22 Aber der König4428 Jojakim3079 schickte7971 Leute582 nach Ägypten4714, Elnathan494, den Sohn1121 Achbors5907, und582 andere mit ihm.

24 Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that they might not deliver him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
