Kapitel 2

1 Dies ist‘s, das1697 Jesaja3470, der Sohn1121 Amoz531, sah2372 von Juda3063 und Jerusalem3389:

2 Es wird zur letzten319 Zeit3117 der Berg2022, da des HErrn3068 Haus1004 ist5375, gewiß3559 sein, höher denn alle Berge7218, und über alle Hügel1389 erhaben werden; und werden alle Heiden1471 dazu laufen5102,

3 und viel7227 Völker5971 hingehen und sagen559: Kommt3212, laßt uns auf den Berg2022 des HErrn3068 gehen3212, zum Hause1004 des Gottes430 Jakobs3290, daß er3384 uns lehre seine Wege1870 und wir wandeln1980 auf seinen Steigen5927! Denn von3318 Zion6726 wird das Gesetz8451 ausgehen und des HErrn3068 Wort1697 von Jerusalem3389.

4 Und er wird richten8199 unter den Heiden1471 und strafen3198 viel Völker1471. Da werden sie ihre Schwerter2719 zu Pflugscharen855 und ihre Spieße2595 zu Sicheln4211 machen3807. Denn es wird kein Volk5971 wider das1471 andere ein Schwert2719 aufheben und werden fort nicht5375 mehr7227 kriegen4421 lernen3925.

5 Kommet ihr nun vom Hause1004 Jakobs3290, laßt uns wandeln3212 im Licht216 des HErrn3068!

6 Aber du hast dein Volk5971, das Haus1004 Jakobs3290, lassen5203 fahren; denn sie treiben‘s mehr denn die gegen dem Aufgang6924 und sind4390 Tagewähler6049, wie die Philister6430, und machen der fremden5237 Kinder3206 viel.

7 Ihr Land776 ist4390 voll Silber3701 und Gold2091, und ihrer Schätze214 ist4390 kein Ende7097; ihr Land776 ist voll Rosse5483, und ihrer Wagen4818 ist kein Ende7097.

8 Auch ist4390 ihr Land776 voll Götzen457, und6213 beten an ihrer Hände3027 Werk, welches ihre Finger676 gemacht4639 haben7812.

9 Da bückt sich7817 der120 Pöbel, da demütigen8213 sich die376 Junker. Das wirst du ihnen nicht vergeben5375.

10 Gehe935 hin in den Felsen6697 und verbirg dich2934 in der Erde6083, vor6440 der Furcht6343 des HErrn3068 und vor seiner herrlichen1926 Majestät1347!

11 Denn alle hohen1365 Augen5869 werden8213 geniedriget werden, und582 was hohe7682 Leute120 sind, wird sich bücken7817 müssen; der HErr3068 aber wird allein hoch7312 sein zu der Zeit3117.

12 Denn der Tag3117 des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635 wird gehen über alles Hoffärtige1343 und Hohe7311 und über alles Erhabene, daß es geniedriget werde5375,

13 auch über alle hohen und erhabenen5375 Zedern730 auf7311 dem Libanon3844 und über alle Eichen437 in Basan1316,

14 über alle hohen7311 Berge2022 und über alle erhabenen5375 Hügel1389,

15 über alle hohen1364 Türme4026 und über alle festen1219 Mauern2346,

16 über alle Schiffe591 im Meer8659 und über alle köstliche2532 Arbeit7914,

17 daß sich bücken7817 muß alle Höhe1365 der Menschen120 und demütigen8213, was hohe7682 Leute582 sind, und der HErr3068 allein hoch7312 sei zu der Zeit3117.

18 Und mit den Götzen457 wird‘s ganz3632 aus sein2498.

19 Da wird man in der Felsen6697 Höhlen gehen935 und in der Erde6083 Klüfte4631 vor6440 der Furcht6343 des HErrn3068 und vor seiner herrlichen1926 Majestät1347, wenn er sich aufmachen6965 wird, zu schrecken6206 die Erde776.

20 Zu der120 Zeit3117 wird jedermann wegwerfen seine silbernen3701 und457 güldenen Götzen457, die er7993 ihm hatte machen6213 lassen anzubeten7812, in die Löcher der Maulwürfe und der Fledermäuse5847,

21 auf6440 daß er möge in die Steinritzen5366 und935 Felsklüfte5585 kriechen vor der Furcht6343 des HErrn3068 und vor seiner herrlichen1926 Majestät1347, wenn er sich aufmachen6965 wird, zu schrecken6206 die Erde776.

22 So lasset nun ab2308 von dem Menschen120, der Odem5397 in der Nase639 hat; denn ihr wisset nicht, wie hoch er2803 geachtet ist.

Chapter 2

1 THE word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established above the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall look to it.

3 And many people shall go and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many peoples who are far off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

5 O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

6 For thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they are self-satisfied as in the olden days, and they practice augury like the Philistines, and they have reared many alien children.

7 Their land also is filled with silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures; their land also is filled with horses, and there is no end to their chariots;

8 Their land also is filled with idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

9 And the common man is humbled, and the mighty man is brought low; therefore forgive them not.

10 Enter into the rocks, and hide in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of man shall be brought low, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

12 For the day of the LORD shall be against every one that is proud and lofty, and against every one that is lifted up, that he shall be brought low;

13 And against all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan,

14 And against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,

15 And against every high tower, and against every fenced wall,

16 And against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all the pleasant sights.

17 And the loftiness of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of man shall be brought low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

18 And the idols shall utterly pass away.

19 And the people shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to conquer the earth.

20 In that day a man shall cast away to the moles and to the bats his idols of gold and his idols of silver, which they made each one for themselves to worship,

21 To go into the caves of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to conquer the earth.

22 Shun the man who is hasty for of what account is he?

21 To go into the caves of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to conquer the earth.

22 Shun the man who is hasty for of what account is he?
