Psalm 73

1 A Psalm4210 of Asaph.623 Truly389 God430 is good2896 to Israel,3478 even to such as are of a clean1249 heart.3824

2 But as for me, my feet7272 were almost4592 gone;5186 my steps838 had well369 near4592 slipped.8210

3 For I was envious7065 at the foolish,1984 when I saw7200 the prosperity7965 of the wicked.7563

4 For there are no369 bands2784 in their death:4194 but their strength193 is firm.1277

5 They are not in trouble5999 as other men;582 neither3808 are they plagued5060 like5973 other men.120

6 Therefore pride1346 compasses6059 them about as a chain;6059 violence2555 covers5848 them as a garment.7897

7 Their eyes5869 stand3318 out with fatness:2459 they have more5674 than heart3824 could wish.4906

8 They are corrupt,4167 and speak1696 wickedly7451 concerning oppression:6233 they speak1696 loftily.4791

9 They set8371 their mouth6310 against the heavens,8064 and their tongue3956 walks1980 through the earth.776

12 Behold,2009 these428 are the ungodly,7563 who prosper7951 in the world;5769 they increase7685 in riches.2428

13 Truly389 I have cleansed2135 my heart3824 in vain,7385 and washed7364 my hands3709 in innocence.5356

14 For all3605 the day3117 long have I been1961 plagued,5060 and chastened8433 every morning.1242

1 （亞薩的詩。）神實在恩待以色列那些心中潔淨［clean heart］的人。

2 至於我，我的腳幾乎失閃；我的腳險些滑跌。

3 因［For］我曾［was］見惡人和愚妄人［foolish］享亨通［prosperity］就心懷不平。

4 他們死的時候沒有疼痛；他們的力氣卻也壯實。

5 他們不像別人受苦，也不像別人遭災。

6 所以，驕傲如鏈子繞著他們［compasseth them］；強暴像衣服遮住他們的身體。

7 他們的眼睛因體胖而凸出；他們所得的，過於心裏所想的。

8 他們都是敗壞的［are corrupt］，憑惡意說欺壓人的話；他們說話自高。

9 他們的口褻瀆諸天［heavens］，他們的舌行遍［walketh through］全地。

10 所以他［his］的民歸到這裏；他們［them］喝盡了滿杯的苦水。

11 他們說：「神怎能曉得？至高者豈有知識呢？」

12 看哪，這就是不敬虔的人［ungodly］，是在世亨通的［who prosper in the world］；他們的［they］財寶加增。

13 我實在徒然潔淨了我的心，徒然洗手表明無辜。

14 因為，我終日遭災難；每早晨受懲治。

15 我若說：「我要這樣講」；看哪［behold］，我就得罪你兒女的世代［I should offend against the generation of thy children］。

16 當［when］我思索怎能明白這事，在我［for me］實係為難，

17 等我進了神的聖所，我便明白［then understood I］他們的結局。

18 你實在把他們安在滑地，使他們倒下滅亡［castedst them down into destruction］。

19 他們轉眼之間成了何等的荒涼。他們被驚恐滅盡了。

20 人睡醒了，怎樣看夢；主啊，你醒了也必照樣輕看他們的影像。

21 因而，我心裏發酸，肺腑被刺。

22 我這樣愚昧無知，在你面前如禽獸［beast］一般。

23 然而，我常與你同在；你扶［holden］著我的右手。

24 你要以你的訓言引導我，以後必接我到榮耀裏。

25 除你以外，在天上我有誰呢？除你以外，在地上我也沒有所愛慕的。

26 我的肉體和我的心腸衰殘；但神是我心裏的力量，又是我的福分，直到永遠。

27 看哪［lo］，遠離你的，必要死亡；凡離棄你行邪淫的，你都滅絕了。
