Psalm 50

1 A Psalm4210 of Asaph.623 The mighty410 God,430 even the LORD,3068 has spoken,1696 and called7121 the earth776 from the rising4217 of the sun8121 to the going3996 down thereof.

2 Out of Zion,6726 the perfection4359 of beauty,3308 God430 has shined.3313

3 Our God430 shall come,935 and shall not keep silence:2790 a fire784 shall devour398 before6440 him, and it shall be very3966 tempestuous8175 round5439 about him.

4 He shall call7121 to the heavens8064 from above,5921 and to the earth,776 that he may judge1777 his people.5971

5 Gather622 my saints2623 together to me; those that have made3772 a covenant1285 with me by sacrifice.2077

6 And the heavens8064 shall declare5046 his righteousness:6664 for God430 is judge8199 himself.1931 Selah.5542

7 Hear,8085 O my people,5971 and I will speak;1696 O Israel,3478 and I will testify5749 against you: I am God,430 even your God.430

8 I will not reprove3198 you for your sacrifices2077 or your burnt5930 offerings, to have been continually8548 before5048 me.

9 I will take3947 no3808 bullock6499 out of your house,1004 nor he goats6260 out of your folds.4356

10 For every3605 beast2416 of the forest3293 is mine, and the cattle929 on a thousand505 hills.2042

11 I know3045 all3605 the fowls5775 of the mountains:2022 and the wild2123 beasts2123 of the field7704 are mine.5978

12 If518 I were hungry,7456 I would not tell559 you: for the world8398 is mine, and the fullness4393 thereof.

13 Will I eat398 the flesh1320 of bulls,47 or drink8354 the blood1818 of goats?6260

14 Offer2076 to God430 thanksgiving;8426 and pay7999 your vows5088 to the most5945 High:5945

15 And call7121 on me in the day3117 of trouble:6869 I will deliver2502 you, and you shall glorify3513 me.

16 But to the wicked7563 God430 said,559 What4100 have you to do to declare5608 my statutes,2706 or that you should take5375 my covenant1285 in your mouth?6310

17 Seeing you hate8130 instruction,4148 and casts7993 my words1697 behind310 you.

18 When518 you saw7200 a thief,1590 then you consented7521 with him, and have been partaker2506 with adulterers.5003

19 You give7971 your mouth6310 to evil,7451 and your tongue3956 frames6775 deceit.4820

20 You sit3427 and speak1696 against your brother;251 you slander5414 1848 your own mother's517 son.1121

21 These428 things have you done,6213 and I kept2790 silence;2790 you thought1819 that I was altogether such an one as yourself: but I will reprove3198 you, and set them in order6186 before your eyes.5869

22 Now4994 consider995 this,2063 you that forget7911 God,433 lest6435 I tear2963 you in pieces, and there be none369 to deliver.5337

23 Whoever offers2076 praise8426 glorifies3513 me: and to him that orders7760 his conversation1870 aright will I show7200 the salvation3468 of God.430

Psalm 50

1 THE God of gods, the LORD, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.

3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence; a fire shall consume before him, and it shall flame round about him greatly.

4 He shall call to the heavens from above and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

5 Gather unto him, O you, his saints, those that have made a covenant with him by sacrifice.

6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God himself is judge.

7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak to you; O Israel, I will testify to thee: I am God, even your God.

8 I reproved you not for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings; they are continually before me.

9 I will take no bullocks out of your house nor he-goats out of your folds.

10 For all the beasts of the forest are mine, and the cattle and the oxen upon the hills.

11 I know all the fowls of the air; and the wild beasts of the desert are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I should not tell you; for the world is mine and the fulness thereof.

13 I eat not the flesh of bulls, neither do I drink the blood of goats.

14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; and fulfil your vows to the most High.

15 Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will strengthen you, and you shall glorify me.

16 But to the sinner, God says, How have you followed the en_lbp_books of my law? You have observed my covenant lightly,

17 Seeing that you hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

18 When you saw a thief, you joined with him, and you have been a partaker with adulterers.

19 You have given your mouth to evil and your tongue speaks deceit.

20 You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.

21 All of these things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was wicked like you; but I will reprove you, and correct these sins before your eyes.

22 Now understand this, O you who forget God, lest you be crushed and there be none to deliver.

23 Whosoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me; and to him will I show the way of the salvation of our God.
