以西結書

第21章

1 耶和華的話臨到我說：

2 「人子啊，你要面向耶路撒冷和聖所滴下言語［word］，並發預言［and prophesy］攻擊以色列地，

3 對以色列地說，耶和華如此說：看哪［Behold］，我與你為敵，並要拔刀出鞘，從你中間將義人和惡人一併剪除。

4 我既要從你中間剪除義人和惡人，所以我的刀要出鞘，自南至北攻擊一切有血氣的；

5 使［That］一切有血氣的知道我─耶和華已經拔刀出鞘，必不再入鞘。

6 所以［therefore］，人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前彎著腰，苦苦地歎息。

7 他們問你說：『為何歎息呢？』你就回答［answer］說：『因為有風聲、災禍要來。人心都必融化［melt］，手都發軟，靈都［every spirit］衰敗，膝弱如水。看哪，這災禍臨近，必然成就。這是主耶和華說的。』」

8 耶和華的話又［Again］臨到我說：

9 「人子啊，你要預言說［say］：『耶和華如此說［Thus saith the LORD］：有刀、有刀，是磨利［sharpened］擦亮的；

10 磨利［sharpened］為要大［sore］行殺戮，擦亮為使它閃發光［that it may glitter］。我們豈可快樂嗎？它藐視［it contemneth］我子的杖，如藐視［as］各樹。

11 這刀他［he］已經交給人擦亮，為要應手使用；這刀已經磨利［sharpened］擦亮，好交在行殺戮的人手中。』

12 人子啊，你要呼喊哀號，因為這刀臨到我的百姓和以色列一切的首領。我的百姓必因這刀臨到他們而驚恐［terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people］，所以你要拍腿歎息。

13 因為這是試驗［Because it is a trial］，若刀劍藐視那杖［sword conteum even the rod］，怎麼樣呢？這杖必［it shall be］歸於無有。這是主耶和華說的。

14 「人子啊，你要拍掌預言。我─耶和華要使這刀，就是殺人［slain］的刀，一連三次雙倍［double］刺人，進入他們隱密［privy］的內屋，使大人受死傷的就是這刀。

15 我使這恐嚇人的刀指向［set the point of the sword against］他們的一切城門，使他們的心發昏［faint］，加增他們跌倒的事。哎。這刀造得光亮［bright］，已被裹起［it is wrapped up］，以［for］行殺戮。

16 刀啊，你或［either］往［Go］右邊，或［or］往［Go］左邊，你面向哪方，就向那方殺戮。

17 我也要拍掌，並要使我的烈怒［fury］止息。這是我─耶和華說的。」

18 耶和華的話又臨到我說：

19 「人子啊，你要定出兩條路，好使巴比倫王的刀來。這兩條路必從一地分出來，又要在通城的路口上選定一個地方［choose thou a place］來。

20 你要定出一條路，使刀來到亞捫人的拉巴；又要定出一條路，使刀來到猶大的堅固城耶路撒冷。

21 因為巴比倫王站在岔路那裏，在兩條路口上要占卜。他把箭頭磨亮［made his arrows bright］，求問眾像［images］，察看犧牲的肝；

22 在右手中拿著為耶路撒冷占卜的籤，使他派定軍長［appoint captains］，張口叫殺，揚聲吶喊，築壘造臺，以撞城錘，攻打城門。

23 據那些曾起誓的猶大人看來，這是虛假的占卜；但巴比倫王要使他們想起罪孽，以致將他們捉住。」

24 主耶和華如此說：「因你們的過犯顯露，使你們的罪孽被記念，以致你們的罪惡在行為上都彰顯出來；又因我說［I say］你們被記念，就被捉住。

25 你這褻瀆我［profane］、行惡的以色列王啊，罪孽的盡頭到了，受報的日子已到。

26 主耶和華如此說：當除掉冠，摘下冕，景況必不再像先前；要使卑者升為高，使高者降為卑。

27 我要將這國傾覆，傾覆，而又傾覆；這國就［and］必不再有，直等到那應得的人來到，我就賜給他。」

28 「人子啊，要發預言說：『主耶和華論到亞捫人和他們的凌辱，吩咐我如此說：有刀，有拔出來的刀，已經擦亮，為行殺戮，因刀閃亮，以行滅絕［to consume because of the glittering］。

29 人為你見虛假的異象，行謊詐的占卜，使你倒在被殺［slain］之惡人的頸項上。他們罪孽到了盡頭，受報的日子已到。

30 我豈可使刀收入鞘［Shall I cause it to return into his sheath］？在你被創造［created］之處、生長之地，我必刑罰你。

31 我必將我的惱恨倒在你身上，在我烈怒的火中將火［in the fire of my wrath］噴在你身上；又將你交在善於殺滅的畜類人手中。

32 你必當柴被火焚燒；你的血必流在國中；你必不再被記念。因為這是我─耶和華說的。』」

Ezekiel

Chapter 21

1 AND the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and look at their holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel.

3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against you; I will draw my sword out of its sheath and will destroy from you the righteous and the sinner.

4 Seeing then that I will destroy from you the righteous and the sinner, therefore my sword shall go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north,

5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.

6 And as for you, O Son of man, sigh with a broken heart, and with bitterness groan before their eyes.

7 And if they should say to you, Why do you sigh? you shall say to them, Because of news of disaster which is coming; and every heart shall melt and all hands shall be feeble and every spirit shall faint and all knees shall be weary; behold, it is coming and it shall be brought to pass, says the LORD God.

8 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD God: A sword, a sword is sharpened;

10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is burnished that it may glitter; and it is sharpened to cut off the family of my son; and to reject every other branch.

11 I have given it to be burnished, that it may be handled; the sword is sharpened and polished to deliver it into the hand of the slayer.

12 Cry and wail, Son of man; for it is against my people and against all the princes of Israel;

13 Clap your hands because this calamity is justified; if the royal family is rejected, it shall be no more, says the LORD God.

14 You therefore, Son of man, prophesy and clap your hands, and let the sword smite double, and the third stroke is the stroke of the slain; this is the sword for a great slaughter that causes them to tremble,

15 That their hearts may faint and the sufferers be multiplied in all their gates, for I have delivered them to the sword which is sharpened, glittering and drawn for the slaughter.

16 Take hold firmly my right hand, take hold firmly my left hand, wherever my face is turned;

17 I will also clap my hands, and I will cause my fury to rest; I the LORD have said it.

18 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

19 Also, Son of man, prepare for yourself two ways that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; both of them shall come forth out of the same land; and set a sign at the head of the highway to the choicest city.

20 And prepare a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah and to Jerusalem, the mighty city.

21 For the king of Babylon stands at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination; he shoots an arrow, he inquires of his idol, he sees his triumph.

22 At his right hand was the divination against Jerusalem, saying to build mounds against her, to open his mouth threatening with all his strength, to lift up his voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build siege forts.

23 And it shall be as a false divination to them; but he will call to remembrance their iniquity, that they may be captured.

24 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered clearly and your transgressions are uncovered so that in all your devices your sins are evident, therefore, with the hand shall you be caught.

25 And as for you, filthy wicked prince of Israel, your day and the time of your iniquity and your end has come.

26 Thus says the LORD God: Remove the diadem and take off the crown; the low is exalted, and the proud is brought down.

27 Even this place I will cause to be a ruin; until he comes to whom it belongs by right, and I will deliver it to him.

28 And you, Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the LORD God concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach: even say, The sword, the sword is drawn for the slaughter; it is sharpened and it glitters;

29 Because of your false vision and because of your false divination, to bring you upon the necks of the sinful and wicked men, whose day has come and the time of their iniquity and their end.

30 Return the sword to its sheath! for in the land wherein you were born, there will I judge you.

31 And I will pour out my indignation upon you; I will blow against you with the fire of my wrath, and will deliver you into the hand of men brutish and skilful to destroy.

32 You shall be fuel for the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be no more remembered; for I the LORD have spoken it.

1 耶和華的話臨到我說：	1 AND the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 「人子啊，你要面向耶路撒冷和聖所滴下言語［word］，並發預言［and prophesy］攻擊以色列地，	2 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and look at their holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel.
3 對以色列地說，耶和華如此說：看哪［Behold］，我與你為敵，並要拔刀出鞘，從你中間將義人和惡人一併剪除。	3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against you; I will draw my sword out of its sheath and will destroy from you the righteous and the sinner.
4 我既要從你中間剪除義人和惡人，所以我的刀要出鞘，自南至北攻擊一切有血氣的；	4 Seeing then that I will destroy from you the righteous and the sinner, therefore my sword shall go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north,
5 使［That］一切有血氣的知道我─耶和華已經拔刀出鞘，必不再入鞘。	5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
6 所以［therefore］，人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前彎著腰，苦苦地歎息。	6 And as for you, O Son of man, sigh with a broken heart, and with bitterness groan before their eyes.
7 他們問你說：『為何歎息呢？』你就回答［answer］說：『因為有風聲、災禍要來。人心都必融化［melt］，手都發軟，靈都［every spirit］衰敗，膝弱如水。看哪，這災禍臨近，必然成就。這是主耶和華說的。』」	7 And if they should say to you, Why do you sigh? you shall say to them, Because of news of disaster which is coming; and every heart shall melt and all hands shall be feeble and every spirit shall faint and all knees shall be weary; behold, it is coming and it shall be brought to pass, says the LORD God.
8 耶和華的話又［Again］臨到我說：	8 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
9 「人子啊，你要預言說［say］：『耶和華如此說［Thus saith the LORD］：有刀、有刀，是磨利［sharpened］擦亮的；	9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the LORD God: A sword, a sword is sharpened;
10 磨利［sharpened］為要大［sore］行殺戮，擦亮為使它閃發光［that it may glitter］。我們豈可快樂嗎？它藐視［it contemneth］我子的杖，如藐視［as］各樹。	10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is burnished that it may glitter; and it is sharpened to cut off the family of my son; and to reject every other branch.
11 這刀他［he］已經交給人擦亮，為要應手使用；這刀已經磨利［sharpened］擦亮，好交在行殺戮的人手中。』	11 I have given it to be burnished, that it may be handled; the sword is sharpened and polished to deliver it into the hand of the slayer.
12 人子啊，你要呼喊哀號，因為這刀臨到我的百姓和以色列一切的首領。我的百姓必因這刀臨到他們而驚恐［terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people］，所以你要拍腿歎息。	12 Cry and wail, Son of man; for it is against my people and against all the princes of Israel;
13 因為這是試驗［Because it is a trial］，若刀劍藐視那杖［sword conteum even the rod］，怎麼樣呢？這杖必［it shall be］歸於無有。這是主耶和華說的。	13 Clap your hands because this calamity is justified; if the royal family is rejected, it shall be no more, says the LORD God.

15 我使這恐嚇人的刀指向［set the point of the sword against］他們的一切城門，使他們的心發昏［faint］，加增他們跌倒的事。哎。這刀造得光亮［bright］，已被裹起［it is wrapped up］，以［for］行殺戮。	15 That their hearts may faint and the sufferers be multiplied in all their gates, for I have delivered them to the sword which is sharpened, glittering and drawn for the slaughter.
16 刀啊，你或［either］往［Go］右邊，或［or］往［Go］左邊，你面向哪方，就向那方殺戮。	16 Take hold firmly my right hand, take hold firmly my left hand, wherever my face is turned;
17 我也要拍掌，並要使我的烈怒［fury］止息。這是我─耶和華說的。」	17 I will also clap my hands, and I will cause my fury to rest; I the LORD have said it.
18 耶和華的話又臨到我說：	18 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
19 「人子啊，你要定出兩條路，好使巴比倫王的刀來。這兩條路必從一地分出來，又要在通城的路口上選定一個地方［choose thou a place］來。	19 Also, Son of man, prepare for yourself two ways that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; both of them shall come forth out of the same land; and set a sign at the head of the highway to the choicest city.
20 你要定出一條路，使刀來到亞捫人的拉巴；又要定出一條路，使刀來到猶大的堅固城耶路撒冷。	20 And prepare a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah and to Jerusalem, the mighty city.

29 人為你見虛假的異象，行謊詐的占卜，使你倒在被殺［slain］之惡人的頸項上。他們罪孽到了盡頭，受報的日子已到。	29 Because of your false vision and because of your false divination, to bring you upon the necks of the sinful and wicked men, whose day has come and the time of their iniquity and their end.
